“Gosh, are we really going here?” Dara can hardly believe her eyes as they stands in front of a large theater in the city center. Many people flocks to the main door of the building. A large banner with a pair of ballerinas’ picture and the inscription ‘BALLET SHOW: SWAN LAKE’ hanging in front of the building.

“Yes,” Jiyong said. “Don’t you really want to watch this show?”

Dara turns towards Jiyong. Her eyes flash happily. “That’s right. Doctor Choi was going to take me to watch this show and I was disappointed because he canceled it,” she said quickly. “However, he said that the tickets for the show were sold out. How can you get it?”

Jiyong smiles. “That’s...a secret,” he said quietly. “But I manage to impress you, right?”

“Well, I admit that you succeed,” she said honestly. “You impressed me a lot. I really want to watch this show.”

“Let’s go in now.” Jiyong said, ing his elbow.

Without hesitation Dara immediately slips her arm in Jiyong’s arm and smiles broadly. “Come on!”

They just left their jackets in the deposit place when someone called for Jiyong’s name. Dara turns towards the sound and sees a man wearing a formal suit that looks expensive. The man stands not far from them and waves towards Jiyong. Jiyong raises his hand and says to Dara, “Wait a minute. I have to greet my acquaintance first.”

Dara nods and watches Jiyong walk towards the older man.

Jiyong quickly walks towards his uncle who is smiling meaningfully at him. He didn’t think he could meet his uncle here. Who could have guessed that the Yang Hyunsuk who likes to play golf, baseball, and badminton also likes to watch ballet shows?

“Hello, my dear nephew.” said his uncle kindly, but still gave a meaningful smile and glanced behind Jiyong’s shoulder. “It’s nice to meet you here. Apparently you like watching ballet.”

Jiyong smiles back. “Hi, Uncle. I also just found out that you’re a fan of ballet.”

His uncle chuckles softly. “One of the sponsors of this show is my friend, so he invited me here. In order to maintain good relations, I must be present.” He glances back at Jiyong’s shoulder. “By the way, you don’t come alone.”

Jiyong turns and sees Dara who is calmly standing waiting for him at the deposit place while reading the leaflets that are distributed at the entrance. Then he looks back at his uncle with a smile. “You come alone?”

Yang Hyunsuk shrugs his shoulders. “As you see,” he said. “I heard that you stopped by my restaurant.”

Jiyong laughs. “I won’t ask how you can know.”

“So?” asked his uncle.

“So what?” replied Jiyong pretending to not understand.

Yang Hyunsuk laughs. “You don’t want to introduce her to me?” He asked with raised eyebrows. “After what I did to help you? I was surprised why you suddenly wanted to borrow my car. But now I can understand.”

“I’ll introduce her to you later, when the time is right.” The Hyunsuk nods. “Ah, so you’re still going steady now?”

Jiyong just smiles.

His uncle glances at Dara again. “She’s beautiful,” he murmured, then frowns. “Her face seems familiar. Is she a famous person?”

Jiyong laughs, remembering that Dara’s twin sister is a famous model. “No,” he answered.

“No?”

“Uncle, the show will start soon. I have to go back to my friend,” Jiyong said. “I’ll return your car tomorrow afternoon.”

“Whatever,” his uncle said lightly. “Just use it as long as you want.”

After waving for the last time to his uncle, Jiyong hurries back to where Dara is standing. The girl raises her head when she hears his footsteps approaching. Her smile is bright and wide.

“Sorry to make you wait,” Jiyong said.

Dara shakes her head. “It’s okay,” he said. “It seems that your friend came alone. You didn’t invite him to join us?”

Jiyong shakes his head. “Let him be. He prefers to be alone,” he said.

Suddenly there’s an announcement through the loudspeaker that the show is about to start and the audience is expected to enter the hall. Jiyong automatically reaches out to Dara. “Come on, let’s go in now.”

Without much thought, Dara welcomes his hand.

No doubt, tonight is one of the best nights in Dara’s life. The Swan Lake ballet show she really wanted to watch didn’t disappoint at all. Even exceeding her expectations. Everything is beautiful. The ballerinas who jump agile and light on the stage, the amazing decoration, and the heart-wrenching music. When the show ended, she continued to clap her hands while the dancers alternately appeared from behind the screen to salute. She clapped her hands until her hands were red, but she didn’t care. She is very satisfied.

“What do you think?” She asked excitedly to Jiyong as they came out of the hall toward the deposit place.

Jiyong thinks for a moment. “I was never really interested in ballet,” he said honestly. “But the show is good. Very good, actually.”

“Really?” Dara’s eyes glowed happily.

Jiyong smiles at Dara’s excitement, “I can see that you really enjoyed it.”

“Oh yes, of course,” said Dara firmly, then sighs loudly. “Actually I used to dream to be a ballerina.”
