It's You
Description
My new neighbor, Kwon Jiyong, returned to Seoul to find a new atmosphere. That’s what he said. But I think, the reason is more than that. He is a nice, fun, and reliable person. Slowly–maybe since that Christmas Eve–I began to look at him in a different way. And since then, it also seems difficult to imagine life without him.
–Dara about Jiyong
From the beginning, I felt there’s something interesting about Park Dara. Everything feels right if she is there. Everything feels better when she is there. However, right now in her heart, there’s still someone she is waiting for. Her first love. I hope she can stop thinking about that person and start to look at me. Because life without her is not life at all.
–Jiyong about Dara
Foreword
He sips his drink slowly and looks out the window. Snow starts to fall again. He stands there for a moment, staring at the snowflakes that are floating outside.
Something is missing.
His forehead frowns faintly. Of course something is missing. He knows there’s something missing. It’s just that he doesn’t know what is missing. And whether it’s important or not.
He takes a deep breath. Well... maybe it’s not really important. Maybe…
He turns his back to the window and looks around the room. The big hall starts to get crowded. People look happy, smile at each other, laugh, and chatting. An acquaintance smiles and waves at him. He smiles back and raises his glass.
That’s when he sees her.
The woman just entered the room. His eyes following the woman who greets some people while smiling broadly. Strange... He realizes he can’t take his eyes off of her.
He sees the woman taking a glass of drink from the tray offered by a waiter while talking to someone beside her. Then the woman raises her face and looks across the room. Right at his direction.
Their eyes meet and time stops.
Very weird. His brain doesn’t know her. He is sure he doesn’t know her. But why does his heart seem to say the opposite?
Why does his heart say to him that he misses her?
