A Resolve Through GrowthAugust 1st, 2015
“Seungwan-ah! Say Ahhh!”
Joohyun held up the tteokbokki with chopsticks in one hand and using her other hand to make sure no drops get on their new beautiful checkered picnic blanket. One Wendy bought for Joohyun for their anniversary.
Wendy chomped down on the offered rice cake and as soon as the sauce hit her tongue her eyes started to bulge out, she could never hide her true feelings and Joohyun loved that about her.
“Joohyun, this is amazing. What did you do differently?”
“Those peppers you showed me the other day were delicious. I thought they might go well with the recipe. I assume it was a success?”
“I forbid you from ever making those again unless you want a fat girlfriend.”
“What about this?” Joohyun reached under Wendy’s shirt and pinched the small bit of fat on her stomach. Wendy would have jumped any other person who did it, but she could only shyly push the hand away.
“I’ve been busy and you keep making good food…”. Wendy signature pout was brought out, just like Joohyun had hoped for with her previous action.
“Uh oh, is someone upset?” She leaned over to kiss the girl in the forehead to relax the tensed scowl and deflate the puffed cheeks.
“I’m glad you decided to grow out your bangs, it is a crime to cover this pretty face.”
“Pretty ironic coming from the head turner who wore a dirty old cap for ten years.”
“Thanks for the new one by the way.”
Joohyun really did love her new hat. She wasn't sure what the logo meant, it just looked like the Nike symbol, but not quite. Wendy just said it was related to the time she spent overseas. Joohyun didn’t question it because she thought it was cute and had a beautiful shade of her favorite color. The old hat meant a lot to both of them for their own reasons so it was merely retired rather than tossed away.
“It looks good on you. It makes me wish we were inside though.”
