One year later

Dear Diary,

Today is my first wedding anniversary with Haewon. After Mark left me alone, I went back to the church. I confessed that I had some slight change of mind and decided to continued my wedding ceremony with Haewon. My heart was broken at that day but I didn’t want to make my parents disappointed.

This morning, I took Haewon to the fancy restaurant that just opened and I gave her a new house. A huge two-storey mansion overlooking the lake that I love so much. I’m writing this from the side of the lake, and if I look up, I can see the house. It’s beautiful. I always dreamed of having a house here.

Except that person I share it with is entirely different. It’s been one year since I’ve last saw Mark. Word in the town is that cancer took him from his life. I really can’t believe it, but I don’t have any other choice. Maybe Mark looked healthy at the day, but who knows his condition was as bad as mine now.

Haewon can’t see it, but I’m dying inside. I break little by a little every day that Mark isn’t with me. It’s taking all I’ve go
