Oɴ Yᴏᴜʀ Sɪᴅᴇ [ DISCONTINUED ]Haeun knew exactly what she had to do.
She had to clear out Lucas's name.
Which meant, she had to catch the actual kidnapper or murderer.
Which also meant she had to come back to her actual job.
She left early in the morning, leaving right after she finished breakfast. (She left Lucas a sticky note so he wouldn't worry what time she would come back.) She boarded the bus and got off at a stop, a stop that she hadn't gotten off for nearly over a year. With a deep breath, Haeun headed to the police station while praying everything would work out for her.
"Haeun?"
The girl turned to look at the senior with a big smile. "Chief! Great to see you," she sounded a bit too excited and glad she met the very person she came to see. The older woman looked extremely happy to see her as well but her smile faded as she spoke,
"What are you doing here? I haven't lifted your suspension yet."

The picture on Eunha's desk caught her eye and she chuckled - the picture of Haeun smiling brightly after joining the detective department. Eunha noticed how Haeun's eyes wandered around the room.
"How have you been?" Eunha changed the question. "I haven't seen you around."
Haeun shrugged her shoulders, "Fine, I've been fine. Working part-time jobs here and there, taking up a few classes."
Eunha nodded, "That's good, that's good."
Haeun wondered how was she suppose to bring up the ultimate question - the main reason as to why she was here to meet Chief Kim.
"Chief... I was..." Haeun hated how nervous she sounded at the moment. "I was wondering if you could lift my suspension and let me work on a case."
"And you know my answer, Haeun. You still need some rest," Eunha folded her arms. "Looking at you now, I don't want the same thing to happen before, Haeun."
"This time it's different," Haeun had to persuade her chief. "Someone needs my help and I can't turn away when I know I can help them."
"And that someone is...?"
Haeun hesitated to answer but just by
