CHAPTER 5: RECALL

“I still don’t understand why I let you idiots stay in my apartment and making yourselves like owners of this apartment while the OWNER feels like I'm just occupying some space here!” Wendy shouted at the two girls who were busy filling their mouth with food. It's a usual early morning sight of Wendy's apartment most especially when the two younger girls are there. The two girls finished all the food that Wendy made for breakfast and left a little bit for her, Joy and Yeri are no joke in terms of eating. Joy once said 'food is my ', Wendy just shuddered at the memory. Wendy got hysterical, you can't blame her, she was being slave at her own house, but she can't do anything against those idiots as she called, they're satan's spawns and Wendy is way powerless, or she just love those two.

It's Monday,  the three girls were busy preparing their stuffs for school, suddenly Wendy got a phone call from her mother. It's surprising since Wendy's parents rarely make a phone call, and Wendy doesn't want to call them either,  it's like a not-so-close parent-daughter relationship. Wendy then decided to answer the call.

"Mom?"

"How are you Seungwan-ah?"

"Im fine mom, no need to worry about me, I- I can handle myself"

"That's good then, I just called to monitor you. Seungwan dont do anything stupid or else"

"I know mom, that's the main reason why you sent me here"

"Good, keep up the good work, you've improve alot."

"I know"

" okay bye-"

"Wait!"

"What is it Wan?"

"Naeun... how is she?"

"She-she's fine"

"..."

"Bye Seungwan"

Mrs Son hung up the call immediately. Wendy just sighed, she turned around and face the girls.

“Wendy are you alright?” Joy asked in concern

“Yep! Of course! Let's go were going to be late” Wendy faked a smile and dragged the two girls out of the apartment.

10 years ago…
“Weirdo! Weirdo! Weirdo!” children screamed mockingly at the very poor 11 year old girl who was on the verge of tears. She told them to stop, but the bullies did the opposite. The girl clutched her hands on the hem of her shirt to stop herself from crying in front of her bullies. The situation got worse when one of the bullies threw a stone and hit her abdomen, she yelped in pain and started crying.
“You deserved that because you're a weirdo!” the kid got another stone but before he could hit the poor girl, someone stopped him.
“Stop it!” the girl who was on the age of 7 shouted at the bully angrily. The younger girl rushed to the older girl and hugged her tight.
“Stop hurting her! I already called a teacher so back off!” the younger girl shouted at them.

The teacher came, which made the bullies ran away.
“Are you okay unnie? “ the 7 year old girl asked
“My-my tummy h-hurts” the older girl sobbed

They went to the clinic to treat the older girl's wounds, it's like a daily routine for the both of them to go to the clinic since the older girl is prone to bullying.

“I talked to Eunji” the older girl softly spoke
“Unnie, is this the reason why you got bullied again?” the younger frowned
“T-they caught me talking to Eunji” the older confessed
The older girl then began telling some things that that the younger girl cannot decipher, she just let the older girl do her thing.

It's always been like that, everyday the younger girl always listen and believes whatever the older girl is saying, despite of her very young age, she's very understanding. She knows what's up with the older girl. They're sisters after all.

“Wendy” someone called her

“Wendy”

“………”

“Wendy Son!” the girl raised her voice with a hint of irritation

“U-uh yes?” oh god “I-Irene?”

“Are you listening? I just asked awhile ago about the song and you're not paying attention, remember Wendy,  I don't want to fail in this subject just because of your stupid daydreaming.” Irene said coldly.

“I'm sorry” Wendy apologized
