Classes were suspended the next day.

It had rained terribly hard in the early hours of morning, eventually forcing schools to suspend their classes for the safety of their students. This was a blessing for Nayeon, however, as she eventually slept in for a few more hours.

The rain had stopped in the afternoon, the sun peeking out of the clouds not too long after. Deciding to put the free day to good use, Nayeon decided to go to the park with her dog in which she was frantically looking around the house for at the moment.

"Kookeu?" Nayeon calls out as she sprints down the stairs, she couldn't find the dog in the second floor of their humble abode.

She finds Dahyun in the living room sprawled on the sofa, hopelessly surfing through the television channels.

"No, I did not see your dog," Dahyun had cut her off before she could even utter a word.

"I didn't even ask you yet."

"Well I'm not deaf to not hear you from upstairs, smartypants."

Rolling her eyes and pushing her specs up her nose bridge, Nayeon trudges to the backyard and finds Kookeu running around in circles, trying to catch his own tail. Giggling at the sight, she scoops Kookeu up in her arms, immediately cooing at the small dog and heads back inside to get the leash from her room and change her clothes.

Nayeon was simply dressed in a slightly big white shirt and denim pants, paired with white shoes. She opted not to bring a bag and decided to just bring her phone and stuff some money in her pocket in case she decides to stop by a café.

"I'll be back by dinner!" the bunny-teethed girl exclaims as she puts the leash on the small dog.

And so Nayeon steps out of the front door, holding onto Kookeu's leash as they head to the park.

It seemed that Nayeon wasn’t the only one who planned to spend the afternoon at the park either. The park wasn’t exactly packed, but there was a good amount of people spending their time there too. The sun was out and shining; it was a nice sunny day.

The warm gentle breeze was relaxing enough to have a picnic, and there were families having one too. Children were out flying their kites or running around, a few couples just strolling around hand in hand, and some dogs were even present at the park.

Kookeu barked as he found fellow dog friends and tried to run towards them, the leash restraining him from doing so. Nayeon could only laugh at the cute dog before bending down to take off his leash.

As soon as he was freed from it, Kookeu immediately speeds towards the dogs, Nayeon following in tow.

Nayeon was happy to see more dogs too, eventually asking owners if she could pet them. Some were multiple times bigger than her dog, and some were just the same size. The bunny-teethed girl found herself in a conversation with one of the dog owners.

“She’s big! How heavy is she?” Nayeon looks up at the owner of the Golden Retriever as she rubs its belly, its tail wagging happily.

“She weighs about twenty-six kilograms.”

“Twenty-six?!” Nayeon exclaims, eyes widened both in shock and in amazement, “That’s like, thirteen Kookeu’s!”

The dog owner couldn’t help but laugh at Nayeon’s innocent comparison.

After playing with other dogs, Nayeon follows after Kookeu as the small dog just runs around, chasing after butterflies. The sun wasn’t setting anytime soon, so the bunny-teethed girl takes a seat on the nearest bench where she can have an eye on Kookeu as he runs around, taking pictures of the cute dog from time to time.

She smiles in contentment as the warm breeze hits her again, her bangs ruffled by the wind and Nayeon reaches up her forehead to fix her bangs in place.

"Gucci, come back!"

Not far from where she was, Nayeon spotted a tall figure with a ball in hand running after a Chihuahua, who was chasing after a cat and paid absolutely no attention to her owner.

This made her giggle, seeing the tall girl take long strides as she tried to catch up to her dog who had small legs, but ran quite fast. It was quite a sight for her to see.

Kookeu was just rolling around the grass when the cat turned towards Nayeon’s direction, running faster as the dog behind her started catching up.

“Gucci I told you to catch the ball, not the cat!”

And that was when Nayeon went stiff the second she laid her eyes on the tall girl’s face.

It was –

“Tzuyu?” she breathed out.

She did not expect to see her here, and with a dog?

The cat had gone between Nayeon’s legs, which snapped her from her daze, the Chihuahua quickly in tow.

“Hey! Can you catch him for me?”

And Nayeon does, she closes her legs and scoops the dog in her arms as they collided.

Thankfully enough, the dog didn’t even try to bite her and just barked at the stranger before him. With the cat gone in sight, Nayeon stood up and put the dog named Gucci down, who was now running back to his owner.

Tzuyu quickly caught up, bending over with her palms on her knees as she catches her breath and scoops Gucci up in her arms looking down at him.

“Gucci this is not the time to exercise,” Tzuyu panted and the dog barked as if it was a response. She shakes her head before looking up at the person who helped her.

“Thank you so much for catching him for me. I’m sorry for troubling you-“

The tall girl stops in the middle of her sentence as her eyes land on Nayeon, the familiar smirk immediately tugging on her lips, “Didn’t expect to see you here, shorty.”

Nayeon glared at her, which seemed to be of no use as the tall girl’s smirk grew to a grin, clearly not impressed with her nickname.

“Same goes to you, big ears,” Nayeon rolled her eyes and retorted sarcastically. “I must be the luckiest person on earth.”

Tzuyu just laughs.

Nayeon couldn’t ignore the fact that Tzuyu was wearing something quite similar to hers. The tall girl was wearing a shirt which fit her perfectly, denim jeans and white converses too. She was also wearing round specs, and Nayeon could only groan at their outfits.

Tzuyu noticed it as well and seemed to like it, however. A small bark caught their attention and Nayeon looked down to see Kookeu by the tall girl’s feet.

“Cute,” Tzuyu smiled, “Is this your dog?”

Nayeon nods and Tzuyu bends down to meet her dog.

“What are you doing?”

She puts down Gucci, and the two dogs immediately started playing with each other, running around as they chased the other.

Tzuyu smiles at the two, turning around to see Nayeon, “I’m letting them play with each other, if that's okay with you."

Nayeon just sighs as she takes a seat on the bench yet again. Tzuyu was still standing up, smiling as she looks at the two dogs playing. It was a rare sight, seeing Tzuyu smile genuinely and Nayeon’s expression softened.

Maybe she shouldn’t be so hard on the girl this time, seeing as how the tall girl wasn’t interested in teasing her at the moment and was mainly interested in the dogs.

“Your dog’s name is Gucci?” Nayeon starts a conversation, her demeanor changing at the sight of Tzuyu’s love for her dog.

The tall girl looked back at her with the smile still on her face and nodded, “Yeah.”

Tzuyu takes a seat beside Nayeon, her eyes still fixated on the dogs.

“Gucci as in the brand?”

She nods, “Gucci as in the brand.”

Nayeon looks at the two dogs as well, who were still chasing each other and she couldn't help but giggle.

"That's a cute name."

Tzuyu's turned to Nayeon for a brief moment before returning it to the dogs, "Thank you."

"What's your dog's name?"

"Kookeu."

"Kookeu?" Tzuyu repeats the name, letting it roll off her tongue and becoming familiar with it before looking at Nayeon yet again with a smile on her face, "That's a cute name too."

Nayeon smiles and thanks the tall girl.

Silence grew between them as they looked at their dogs with contented smiles on their faces, yet they were both comfortable with the silence this time. The sun was beginning to set, creating a sky light orange in color.

Tzuyu averts her gaze for a brief moment to look at Nayeon, about to ask a question but she found herself staring at the girl beside her instead.

The sun had hit her face perfectly, creating shadows and enhancing her features. She noticed how Nayeon didn’t wear any makeup, her face completely bare and she looked very pretty with it. Her porcelain skin seemingly looked tan against the sunlight, and Tzuyu thought it looked beautiful on her.

She thought Nayeon was beautiful.

 Breathtaking up close, even.

Feeling a pair of eyes on her, Nayeon turned her head towards Tzuyu. The latter was caught aback from the sudden action, but didn’t bother to turn away and just stared at the girl.

She wanted to appreciate her beauty more.

Suddenly feeling flustered with the weight of her stare, she asks, “W-what are you looking at?”

Still holding a neutral expression, the corner of Tzuyu’s lips tugged upwards creating a small smirk before shaking her head.

“Nothing.”

Nayeon just purses her lips.

To have Tzuyu stare at her like that felt weird for her even after the past days of having her annoy her every now and then. Maybe it was because of the atmosphere surrounding them.

No teasing, the comfortable silence and presence of their dogs, the sun setting above them and the two of them sharing a bench together, it created a different aura around the tall girl.

“You're pretty though," Tzuyu mumbled out of the blue.

Nayeon tore her gaze away from the tall girl, feeling her cheeks burn lightly. She wanted to hit Tzuyu on the arm for even chuckling at her flustered state.

"It's not funny, Chou Tzuyu." she tried to sound serious but Tzuyu's chuckling wouldn't let her otherwise.

"Hey, I was just looking at you."

The tall girl's chuckling died down eventually, and Nayeon leaned back when it did.

"Did that make you uncomfortable? I'm sorry."
