Today was the day. Today was the day she would step out of her shell. Today was the day Joohyun was going to befriend Wendy Son.

She practiced alternative conversations in front of the mirror and revised ways to confront approach the mysterious black and blueish haired girl. Noticing the time of her next business lecture was upcoming, Joohyun straightened herself up, grabbed her bag and proceeded to the hall. Prepared and in good spirits. What a lovely day for a potential new friendship.

However, Irene’s hopes slumped when she realised Wendy was indeed not showing up to the lecture. Did I scare her away? wait, how could I have done that, you didn’t even speak to the goddamn girl pabo!

Trudging out of the hall and into the campus green area, the shining sun and light breeze mocked Joohyun’s miserable state. UGH! Maybe this Wendy Son wasn’t reliable after all, should Irene waste her time? Maybe Seulgi and Joy were right.

As much as she wanted to ponder on her thoughts she noticed said girl and couldn’t help but watch her carefully, her every move as she read that thick book, the way her head bobbed to the music she was plugged into. Wow, she can multitask too. Irene then only realised how much of a creep she looked like. With that she sat down on the grass, fairly far from Wendy.

Joohyun readied herself and chose to continue with her mission on befriending the girl. In order to get Wendy’s attention in the right way, she would have to change her demeanour and tap into the ‘Irene’ side of her. If she was just Joohyun, Wendy might have no interest so she needed to get into contact with her ethereal and confident side. Was Wendy worth all this troubled though? Why should you change yourself for this girl Joohyun? You have never cared about what people think about you, why start now?

Joohyun had an internal battle with herself but suddenly her legs started moving towards Wendy’s direction and she couldn’t stop, there was some kind of need and attraction to the girl. Pushing that feeling down, Joo-Irene went with an inflated ego and puffed chest, she rested her arm on her hip as they swayed loosely, showing off her great figure. She saw Wendy’s eye linger in her direction then proceed to take another drag of the cigarette situated between her fingers whilst quickly turning away, Irene smirked. Hyun you’re befriending her remember, not seducing her? Focus on your task.

And with task in mind, she shook her head and neared the bad girl. She sat on the other side of the bench and looked straight, not in Wendy’s direction. She didn’t know if Wendy noticed her presence or if she was just ignoring her. With that Irene felt the awkwardness and caught a whiff of the smoke Wendy blew. Although it was attractive to see the latter pull the out of with her index finger and thumb rather than a V shape, Irene hated the smell and without thinking curtly blurted “Smoking is detrimental to your health, you know?”

“And so is depression, take your pick or just pick another bench.” Wendy deadpanned.

What did she mean by that? Was she depressed. Joohyun definetly needed to help the girl now.
