〈 NOX ﹔ the prophecy 〉 blockberry creative's first boy group。
Where is the truth
I’m trying to find my / I’m trying to find my way
I don’t need you
Sometimes I’m crazy / Sometimes I’m lost
But I will find an answer
The video starts with a close up of a tiny game spinner with three parts. It spins from the word "M", and suddenly stops at the word, "A". There's a "?" at the third side. Instead of focusing on "A", it focuses on "?".
The frame changes to Dal's eyes, the left half of his face covered with a white curtain. He has blue contact lenses and takes them off. He suddenly averts his gaze to the left. The music starts to play.
Dal starts singing in the middle of the table in an empty room. He wears white long sleeved shirt with spots of red, long white pants, and is barefooted. There are minor scratches on his feet, hands, and arms. He sits down in a single chair, the sole object. Curtains had been ripped, blowing gently. All parts of the room arre covered with white sheets. As it closes up on him, he is chained to the chair with cuffs. His feet are bound to the legs of the chair, and his eyes hidden with a black fabric. The floor had large blocks of "CURIOUS" there, written in red. He hesitates for a while, trying to avoid stepping on it, but gets jolted all of a sudden, and becomes limp.
The frame focuses back on the needle reverse-turning to "M".
Dal's clothing still looks the same, but he has a black jacket covering him. His eyes don't have the blue color as he is walking down a night market, a setting that had a remarkable Chinese culture. While walking, he stares at his left palm, which is carrying two rings. On his right hand, he holds a mauve ribbon. With a frown he hides it back on his jacket.
As the song reached the second verse, he walks again, this time finding the spinner next to a black munchkin cat with blue eyes. It is raining. Now that spinner has nine needles. Some of them are stagnant, others oscillate or spin slowly, a few are spinning very fast. The shot closes up to one spinning arguably the fastest.
Dal moves his hand and almost touches it, but was hesitant. He tries to chase the cat, face scared, but the cat stops and turns back. Six of the nine needles break into pieces, and the spinning needle stops at "?"
Focus changes. He walks in a long corridor, all covered with white sheets and curtain at its windows. As the songs goes into the chorus, he runs, hallway full of nothing but sheets. It focuses on his eyes, which now have blue contacts. His black jacket has mysteriously disappeared.
He reaches a room, seemingly prepared. He opens the door, to find nothing but the spinner again, rotating next to a mirror. When he sees himself in the mirror, he sees the black cat. The song abruptly stops.
The frame cuts to the black jacket left in the rain with the broken needles.
The scene opens back again, silent, as he stands in the middle of the empty room, stepping on the letters "CURIOUS". The spinner board and all of the needles were broken. He looks peaceful, and holds nine new needles in his right hand, walking towards the screen. He covers it with his hand, and the video ends.

Another month has begun, and with it the NOX saga continues. Today Blockberry Creative released the Music Video of their fifth member, Dal. 'Take Me Now' is a powerful rock song who deals with the topic of second-guessing the things around you and searching for the truth.
Dal was born on the 17 of July 1999 as Tsai Zhihui/Chae Jihee in Seoul, South Korea. He's half-Korean and half-Chinese and speaks both Korean and Mandarin fluently. Zhihui will be the second main vocalist of the group. In his debut MV, he showcases his powerful vocals.
[+541; -32] The music video seems like one of the most complex ones yet. The place he's walking through is actually Incheon China Town, I like that they included his heritage.
[+513; -54] I think the blue and the brown eyes mean something. Blue can mean knowledge, so maybe the blue-eyed Dal has more power and knowledge while the brown-eyed Dal is ordinary and can't stop the events around him from unfurling
- Hul, on twitter there are theories about blue-eyed Dal being manipulated or not himself and brown-eyed Dal being the real him
[+473; -131] Only fans like weird and non-sense Mvs like this
[+422; -55] He looks like Ahn Jaehyun. Both 99-liners have rock songs as their debut and their visuals are captivating. I'm curious if there is a collaboration in the future ㅇㅅㅇ
[+382; -205] Rock music doesn't sell well in South Korea. Also, his voice doesn't suit pop-songs, I feel like he's not very versatileㅠㅠㅠ
[+344; -82] I held my breath when the six needles broke. And there was also a black cat. Does that mean that the character Dal brings bad luck?
- It's speculated that he moves to The Veil. The company released a statement about there being three worlds and The Veil was the darkest out of them.
- Doesn't The Veil just mean that he has a corrupt and y concept like Vixx?
[+302; -21]What's up with the rings, will he get married?
- Yes, he's my future husband
- Shut up and get in line, you're delusional ㅋㅋ
8th of July, 2018
Tsai Zhihui opened the door to the rooftop and glanced around suspiciously. When he checked that he was alone, his shoulders sagged in relief and he stepped in and let the door behind him fall close. He laid down on the patch of grass - that hadn't been cared for as long he had been a trainee but which the company's secretary insisted on calling a 'rooftop garden' - and plugged in his earphones.
If he'd had to spend one more hour listening to that damn house song his dance trainer selected for this week's lessons, he might get homicidal tendencies.
The first notes of the latest Nell album were blaring through his ears, and Zhihui closed his eyes and hummed along. Starring at the sky, he felt himself calming down gradually. It wasn't his teachers' fault his dancing skills were still sub-par. Though she could really do with a better taste in music. Should he ask Changsoo to buy her a Nell album for his next birthday? Was rock even a genre you could perform those idol dances to?
He let his thoughts drift away and basked in the sun. Zhihui hoped they wouldn't look after him here. Then he'd have to find a new hiding spot for days he felt particularly moody or lazy. And that would be just inconvenient, now that the weather was nice.
"I had a feeling that I would find you here.”
A shadow fell on his face and Zhihui irritatedly opened his eyes.
Changsoo was standing behind his head, arms stemmed into his sides. Zhihui couldn't make out his expression since his face was currently upside down but he could bet that it was a disapproving one. Biting back a sigh, he sat up and faced the frowning face of his almost-step-dad-slash-vocal-coach.
A single glance told him that he would have won the hypothetical bet.
Changsoo crouched down to an eye-level and he removed his earphones. “Shouldn't you have dancing practice right now instead of lazing around on a patch of soil?”
“It's a garden, ahjussi,” he said defiantly, chin up high and meeting his eyes without blinking.
“Don't sass me,” Changsoo's voice was gruff but the twitch of his lips betrayed him. Even though he tried to act like the other trainers in the facility, he too, must secretly think the secretary was ridiculous. Zhihui held back the urge to smile.
“Anyways, how do you expect to debut if you don't take your practice seriously?”
Zhihui didn't know how to explain it. Maybe he was just a dumb teenager testing his limits and seeing he could get away with more than he initially expected. But sometimes he felt as if he'd just throw a tantrum and leave someday if he couldn't get his occasional breaks from practice. And there was also this gut feeling that everything would turn alright. But he wasn't sure if Changsoo would understand – he actually didn't understand it himself - and so he took the easier route, settled on crossing his arms over his chest and retorted, “That might be a better argument if the first member that debuted wouldn't be Moon Sour-Face Hawon.”
Changsoo gave him a pointed look. “Isn't that kid your closest friend in here?”
“Hawon lives in La La Land,” he deadpanned. When he realized this apparently wasn't saying much to Changsoo, he went a step further, “he probably doesn't even know what a friend is.”
Changsoo's face shifted only a minuscule bit, however Zhihui picked it up. His remark had made the older guy uncomfortable. He wondered if he went too far with his jab, if he should backtrack a bit. But before he even opened his mouth Changsoo was speaking again.
“Anyways, you've got everyone in a frenzy. All of the trainees plus half of the teaching staff and a manager are currently searching for you.
“But why would they- oh.”
Zhihui deciding to skip dancing lessons never caused much of an uproar. Occasionally someone was sent out to find him or Changsoo and a few of the more lawful trainees used their breaks to look after him. But the fuss was always brought up later, when he attended the next lesson. The only reason so many people would search for him was if his presence was needed, right at that moment, which only left one conclusion-
“I'm going to debut!”
Changsoo grinned, “Imagine the reaction of the staff member when he tried to pick you up from dancing practice and you were nowhere to be found.”
Zhihui hugged him. He surprised himself a bit since he usually shied away from touch but it seemed just right that moment. Like the happiness had overtaken him and he just did it on instinct. He felt Changsoo stiffen in the embrace, not used to this amount of affection from his girlfriend's son. Then Zhihui scrambled up, said a hasty goodbye and jogged towards the door which led back into the building. He couldn't let the CEO wait too much.
Author's Note: Congratulations to nephesh and Tsai Zhihui! Credit of the MV goes to them.
Sorry for the hiatus, I'm back now! I really enjoyed writing Zhihui, he's adorable. Though my proofwriting program wanted to replace Changsoo with 'changes' all the time.
The next reveal is also written, I just need to edit and formate it, so I'll post it soon.
