“Hey Jessica...” Taeyeon said quietly

“Answer is no” Jessica said bluntly

“But I haven’t said anything yet” Taeyeon pouted

“Answer is still no” Jessica said again

Taeyeon frowned as she sighed heavily while Jessica was running the check up

After a few minutes Jessica finally finished the check-up and was writing down the results onto the page

“So what was it?” Jessica asked as she put the clipboard down

Taeyeon raised her eyebrow at Jessica

“What did you want to ask about before” Jessica asked again

Taeyeon smiled at Jessica’s change in attitude

“Well you know how me and Tiffany are in separate rooms by ourselves. I was wondering if we could move in together” Taeyeon said excitedly

Jessica stared at Taeyeon blankly

“We’ll see” Jessica said as she went over to the door and knocked on it

“Sooyoung. Check-up is done. Open the door” Jessica said rather annoyed

As soon as she had said that the door clicked as Sooyoung took the lock off and opened the door

“Taeyeon wants Tiffany to move in with her. Can you arrange that for me? I’m going to take my break” Jessica ordered as she walked to the nearest elevator

“She seems a little out of it today” Sooyoung said as she leaned against the side of the door frame

Taeyeon hopped off the bed and came up to Sooyoung.

“Isn’t she always?” Taeyeon chuckled

Sooyoung chuckled along as she rested her arm against Taeyeon’s shoulder

“So how was it?” Sooyoung asked as she stared at Taeyeon warily

Taeyeon paused for a moment before looking up at Sooyoung

“Great” Taeyeon beamed as she walked off

Strangely enough she didn’t walk back to Tiffany’s room, but instead she went back to her own

Sooyoung was left dumbfounded as her arm was still hanging in midair. She then walked over to the clipboard and checked the results

“She’s a great liar” A voice said from behind her

Sooyoung turned around to see that Jessica had returned. She then smiled sympathetically

“She just doesn’t want to ruin the mood” Sooyoung defended

Jessica just rolled her eyes

“That Tiffany girl seems to be making her a lot happier though” Jessica shrugged

Sooyoung chuckled

“Everyone needs a friend. Taeyeon finally found one that won’t leave her so quickly”

Jessica just disregarded Sooyoung’s comment and walked off

 

 

Later that evening Taeyeon ran towards Tiffany’s room

“Tiffany! Good news!” Taeyeon yelled as she burst the door open

Tiffany jumped up with surprise, causing her to juggle the book that she was reading a few times

“Sorry to scare you so suddenly. By the way have you ever thought of joining the circus with a juggling act?” Taeyeon teased

Tiffany stuck her tongue out at Taeyeon as she set the book beside her

“What’s the good news?” Tiffany said rather annoyed

“Oh right. You’re moving in with me again” Taeyeon beamed as she pointed her thumbs to herself

Tiffany raised her eyebrow at Taeyeon

“Tsk” Taeyeon exclaimed as she put her hand on her waist

She then walked up and examined Tiffany’s bed

“What?” Tiffany asked curiously

Taeyeon then clicked the brakes of the bed on all four wheels

“Yah!  What do you think you’re doing?” Tiffany said worriedly

“Saving you the trouble of moving” Taeyeon smiled evilly as she pulled Tiffany’s bed

Tiffany grasped to the sides of the bed hastily as Taeyeon started to walk behind her and push on the head board

“Nurse! Nurse!” Tiffany yelled for help

Taeyeon just smiled even wider as she pushed Tiffany out the door and onto the hallway

As the two of them whizzed past patients, visitors, nurses and even doctors, Taeyeon just smiled politely as she bowed her head at them and said ‘Good evening’

Tiffany on the other hand wasn’t so polite. Not only was she in an embarrassing situation but she was also scared to death.

“Taeyeon stop! Now! I swear once you stop I will never let you see tomorrow” Tiffany yelled

Taeyeon chuckled at Tiffany’s comment

“Tomorrow never comes~” Taeyeon chimed

Tiffany was about to retaliate to Taeyeon’s answer but was interrupted when Taeyeon narrowly avoided a nurse

“Just don’t hit anyone!” Tiffany squealed as she covered her eyes in fear

“SORRY!” Tiffany heard Taeyeon apologise

Tiffany peeked from the side of her hand to see a little kid on the side with a horrified look on their face. She then quickly closed her eyes again and wished that Taeyeon would stop soon

Just as she had finished wishing, her bed came up to a stop. She then peeked again to see her inside a room

“Well that was easy” Taeyeon beamed as she brushed her hands proudly

Tiffany then let out a sigh, not realising that she had been holding her breath all the way through the ride

“Now excuse me, I’ll go finish up” Taeyeon smiled as she gave a playful bow and walked out

Tiffany took a quick look around to see that the room looked familiar. When she realised that it was the same room that she and Taeyeon shared three years ago she gasped before smiling widely

She noticed that the room was now decorated with different cards, pictures and stickers. Slowly, Tiffany hopped off her bed and headed to the little corner which had paper with writing on it pinned up against the window with the words facing outside

 

 

“Forever wishing upon a star.
Please star, grant my wish for my dream to come true
                                                                                -Taeyeon”

 

 

Tiffany smiled sympathetically at the note and grabbed the pen nearest to her. She scribbled onto a spare piece of paper

 

 

“Forever wishing upon a star
Please may you grant my wish to forever have a friend beside me
                                                                                - Stephanie Hwang”

 

 

When she had finished writing the note, she frowned at her real name before popping the piece of paper on the far most corner with the words facing out, just like Taeyeon’s

“I’m sure Mr and Mrs Star can see it from here” Tiffany nodded proudly before putting the pen down and walking back to her bed

 

 

When Taeyeon exited the room she leaned against the wall next to the door and slid down. She then pulled her knees up to her chest as she started to feel breathless

*You’ve over worked yourself again* Taeyeon chuckled to herself

“Oh my god. Taeyeon!” Taeyeon heard Sooyoung yell as she came over and helped her up

“I’m fine” Taeyeon said breathlessly

Sooyoung growled under her breath as she tossed Taeyeon’s arms around her

“No you’re not. Go back into your room” Sooyoung said sternly

Taeyeon shook her head

“Tiffany’s in there” Taeyeon muttered as she grasped her chest painfully

Sooyoung sighed with disbelief at Taeyeon

Jessica then came walking up calmly with an oxygen mask

Taeyeon secured the mask and slowly caught her breath. As she did she looked up and smiled at Jessica

“Thanks” Taeyeon whispered

Jessica shot Taeyeon a glare

“You know you’re not suppose to over work yourself. Especially after today’s results!” Jessica lectured

Taeyeon put her index finger up to her mask

“Shhh” Taeyeon hushed with a weak wink

Jessica clenched her teeth at Taeyeon’s gesture

“If you don’t take care of yourself I’m moving Tiffany back. Remember that” Jessica muttered before turning away quickly and walking off

Sooyoung bit her lip nervously

Taeyeon then started to feel better and took her arm off Sooyoung’s shoulders

“Thanks Soo.” Taeyeon smiled as she stood up straight

Sooyoung looked at Taeyeon worriedly

“Go back and rest. Nurse’s order” Sooyoung said worriedly

Taeyeon nodded slowly

“Right after I finish getting Tiffany’s stuff” Taeyeon said as she patted Sooyoung’s shoulder

Sooyoung quickly stopped her

“I don’t think so. Go back and rest” Sooyoung said seriously

Taeyeon slowly turned around and looked at Sooyoung

“I’m serious Tae. You’re in no condition to be running around. From now you are not allowed to go to Timmy’s restaurant either.” Sooyoung said sternly as she crossed her arms

Taeyeon looked at Sooyoung seriously. She knew that Sooyoung would stick to her word this time and did not dare to joke around with her. Instead she just turned around and headed to Tiffany’s room

“Taeyeon. Didn’t I say no?” Sooyoung asked as she followed

“I know” Taeyeon said bluntly. “But I’m not listening”

Sooyoung quickly stood in front of Taeyeon but Taeyeon swerved around her

“Nurses!” Sooyoung yelled

The nurse closest to them stopped Taeyeon by grabbing onto her wrist and turning her around

“Dammit Soo! Can’t you just let me finish something by myself!” Taeyeon yelled in frustration as she threw her hands down hard

Sooyoung and the nurse’s eyes popped open at Taeyeon’s sudden outburst

“Ever since I was admitted here I’ve never been able to do anything I wanted by myself. It always involves someone tagging along with me ‘monitoring’ me” Taeyeon added

“That’s because we’re wo...”

“It’s because you think I’m not capable” Taeyeon interrupted

Sooyoung reached her hand out and patted Taeyeon’s shoulder

“It’s not like that. You know that we are just worried about your wellbeing” Sooyoung explained slowly

Taeyeon shrugged Sooyoung’s hand off her shoulder angrily

“When I take a walk there’s always someone tagging along. Whenever I go too far off I get taken back. I can’t even run without being told off by the nurses” Taeyeon growled

Sooyoung and the nurse remained silent

“I’m still capable of looking after myself you know. Just because I have a sickness it doesn’t mean you can take all my freedom away from me”

Sooyoung gulped as she looked around and saw a group of people looking at their little drama

“Taeyeon let’s just go” Sooyoung whispered as she grabbed Taeyeon’s arm and walked off

Taeyeon remained still and yanked her hand back

“I don’t need your help anymore. I don’t care what happens. At least if I’m going to mmmmphhh” Before Taeyeon could finish Jessica came up behind her and silenced her

“Didn’t I say you’re not allowed to say that to anyone?” Jessica growled into Taeyeon’s ear

Taeyeon pulled Jessica’s hand off

“Why do you always pop out of nowhere! Do you know how annoying that is?!” Taeyeon exclaimed

Jessica just shrugged as she let Taeyeon go

“You have not lost your freedom. We are just protecting you. Second, if no one cared we would’ve just left you to your family. And thirdly, you do need our help if you want to stay healthy” Jessica said sternly

The crowd slowly began to leave once Jessica joined in

“Now hurry up and finish what you’re doing. Sooyoung, ease up a little. It’s nothing serious” Jessica finished off

Taeyeon turned her chin up at Sooyoung and shot her a glare before walking pass her and bumping into her shoulder

Sooyoung scoffed at Taeyeon’s childish act

“Leave her” Jessica motioned as Taeyeon went to get Tiffany’s stuff

Sooyoung let out a frustrated scream and threw her hands into the air

“That girl doesn’t understand that she has a CHANCE to live” Sooyoung exclaimed

Jessica patted Sooyoung on her back

“I think after 11 years of staying here, anyone would lose their hope” Jessica whispered

Sooyoung sighed

“It’s because she doesn’t take care of herself. If she hadn’t gone off by herself all those times she would’ve been all better now”

Jessica chuckled

“She’s an outgoing girl. You can’t change someone’s nature. Now let’s get out of Taeyeon’s way before she runs off again” Jessica said as she pulled Sooyoung away

Sooyoung looked back at Tiffany’s room to see Taeyeon exit with stuff piled high and was about to help her when Jessica stopped her

“Leave her. She wants independence. Give her a chance to experience once in a while” Jessica whispered

Sooyoung bit her lower lip as she saw Taeyeon stumble a little, but nevertheless, she followed Jessica’s orders and turned away from the short girl carrying the pile of stuff down the hall

 

 

 

 

 

“Tiffany! Open up!” Taeyeon yelled from the outside

Moments later the door opened and Tiffany was standing there with wide open eyes

“Wow” Tiffany exclaimed

Taeyeon peered from the side of the stack of stuff and gave a toothy grin

“Your own personal TaeTae Delivery Service. Guaranteed deliver in an hour. Service closes down.... Right now” Taeyeon then gasped as she set the things down tiredly

Tiffany jumped back a little to avoid the stuff being dropped onto her toes

“That’s my workout done for a week” Taeyeon chuckled as she massaged her arms

Tiffany smiled as she went over and massaged Taeyeon’s arms for her

“Someone has a lot of stamina” Tiffany chuckled

Taeyeon smiled sideways as she raised her arm and flexed

“You like?” Taeyeon smiled

Tiffany laughed as she hit Taeyeon’s arm playfully

“Aish.” Tiffany exclaimed

Taeyeon laughed as she dodged Tiffany’s attacks

She then noticed another piece of paper on her window and pulled a puzzled face

“I can’t let the stars grant your wishes alone now can’t I?” Tiffany said from behind

Taeyeon jumped at Tiffany’s voice

“You saw it?” Taeyeon asked nervously

Tiffany nodded proudly

“Kinda cute” Tiffany smiled

Taeyeon blushed with embarrassment

“Forever wishing upon a star” Tiffany quoted “I don’t think it’s necessary to put forever in there. Sooner or later your wish will come true”

Taeyeon raised her eyebrow at Tiffany

“Please don’t tell me you’re the type who checks up their horoscopes everyday” Taeyeon said bluntly

Tiffany gave Taeyeon a weird look

“Why what’s wrong with that?” Tiffany asked innocently

Taeyeon plugged her fingers into her ear

“No astrology talk here please. I can’t stand having my horoscope taken” Taeyeon ssaid loudly

Tiffany giggled at the dorky Taeyeon

“I’m joking. I'm not into that kind of stuff. Now I should probably start unpacking” Tiffany said as she pouted at the pile of stuff

Taeyeon skipped over to the pile and pulled out a Totoro bear

“Aren’t you a little old for this?” Taeyeon chuckled

Tiffany frowned at Taeyeon

“Totoro. Help me find my little sister in the magical cat bus” Taeyeon said in a child-like voice as she held it up and hugged it

Tiffany yanked the little plush toy out of Taeyeon’s hand and stuck her tongue out

“Haha. I’m joking. It’s cute” Taeyeon chuckled

She then bent over to pick up a few of Tiffany’s books and put it on the desk near their beds

“We’re going to be living in here now huh?” Tiffany said slowly

Taeyeon turned around to see Tiffany holding onto her plush toy tightly and felt her heart tighten. She remembered the first time she came into the hospital after being informed that she won’t be returning home for a while. She felt left behind by her family as people enjoyed their lives while she was stuck in hospital

“We won’t be living here long. We’re going to go out there and become successful people” Taeyeon said proudly as she hit her chest with her fist proudly

Tiffany gave Taeyeon an unsure look

“There’s someone out there willing to give their heart to you. Don’t worry” Taeyeon chuckled as she patted Tiffany’s head

Tiffany just nodded childishly as she crawled into her bed

“And you?” Tiffany asked softly

Taeyeon just pulled a wide reassuring smile

“I will also be out of here soon” and she said nothing more as she packed Tiffany’s stuff

Tiffany watched as the pile of stuff slowly began to shrink until everything was put away. She looked around and began to feel a little more comfortable as it resembled a little like her room, except for the equipment beside her

Taeyeon came up and popped up on the side of Tiffany’s bed

“Here” Taeyeon said as she reached behind her neck

Tiffany then saw Taeyeon unlock the chain around her neck and hold it in the palm of her hand. Taeyeon picked up her hand and put the chain into it

“Welcome to your new room present. From me... To you” Taeyeon smiled as she pushed Tiffany’s hand towards her chest

Tiffany opened her hand to see Taeyeon’s necklace with a heart shape on it

“Taeyeon... I can’t take this” Tiffany said as she pushed the chain back to her

Taeyeon just smiled as she pushed it back

“Just a little present. Nothing much”

Tiffany gave Taeyeon a disapproving look

“Besides we’re friends aren’t we?” Taeyeon smiled widely

Tiffany softened at Taeyeon’s smile

“Here. Turn around” Taeyeon said as she took the chain

Tiffany turned her torso around so that her back was facing Taeyeon. Taeyeon then put the chain around her neck and clipped it into place

“Like I said. From me, to you” Taeyeon nodded proudly as the heart hung from the chain above Tiffany’s chest

Tiffany hugged Taeyeon tightly

“Thank you” Tiffany mumbled into her ear

Taeyeon just chuckled as she patted her back

“No problem?” Taeyeon said unsurely

Tiffany shook her head

“I was worried that I would be lonely once I was admitted here. I’m really grateful that you’re here for me” Tiffany whispered

Taeyeon smiled as she hugged Tiffany back

“Same to you” Taeyeon said back

Yeah this week has been hectic

anywho~ for those who have only subscribed to this story~

I have around 3 other fics that are on going

And with school and exams and assignments and homework and all that. I do not have enough time to update each fanfic, each day (WOW! 3 chapters in 1 day is a LOT)

 

So I've decided to do up a schedule (same from MGA)

This schedule is subject to change so its not 100% accurate

I was also thinking of finishing all fanfics within next few chapters and giving up on writing fics :\

But i really hope I don't have to do that. I love getting support from readers :]
