"What's his name?"

"The guy who sang last"

"Im Jaebum... My name is Im Jaebum"

Jinyoung was startled by a man speaking behind him. "Ah?"

"I just thought you're talking about me... I'm the guy who sang last," Jaebum smirks at them.

"JB!" Yoojae jumps to hug him.

"Yoojae enough with the bromance," Jaebum pulls away from the hug.

"Hahahaha, by the way, this is Jinyoung a transferee from Gyeongsang, I wanna show him around, that's why we went to your gig"

"Ayo, What's up," Jaebum reach out his hands for a handshake.

"Hi! I'm Park Jinyoung," Jinyoung gives his hand for a handshake.

"Park Jinyoung? Like JYP?"

"Yah, stop teasing him"

"Sorry Sorry! just kidding"

"Your voice... it's really beautiful," Jinyoung says with innocent eyes.

"Ah okay," Jaebum says with an awkward smile. "Aren't you too innocent complimenting me like that? I mean there's a lot out there who has a better voice than me," Jaebum says chuckling.

"I like your voice more," Jinyoung says with perseverance.

"That's enough! You might end up falling in love with each other hahahaha," Yoojae says.

"How old are you?" Jaebum asks Jinyoung.

"I'm 22 years old, 3rd-year psychology student"

"Nice," Jaebum says smiling.

"Ah JB so how you doin?" Yoojae interrupts.

"I'm doing fine, got a lot of gigs these days"

"I hope you're not forgetting to take care of yourself," Yoojae says worriedly.

"I do"

 

Yoojae and JB talk more as they take a sit in the bar. Yoojae tells them that he wanted to flirt a bit and leaves Jinyoung with JB. 

"So... why did you transfer here in Seoul?"

"My mom sold our house in Gyeongsang and moved out with my dad in Canada, instead of going with them, I just choose to transfer here in Seoul, the school promises me to help out with my further studies in Canada if I keep my grades. So I just have like a year and a half and I'm out Korea"

"Hmm... quite nice," JB comments shortly

"But I'm not really into it," Jinyoung leans closer. "I like music... I write songs and melodies. That's why I know that you're a good singer," Jinyoung smiles and Jaebum chuckles.

"Music... music is just my escape," Jaebum says looking down

"Well, you have a good escape then. I'm jealous how you can pursue music... I wanted to feel that too! Being in a crowd singing your heart out. How does it feel?" Jinyoung asks with innocent eyes.

"It feels... It feels unreal. The crowd will start fading before your eyes and all you can see is the bright light of ecstasy and dancing notes before your eyes. Then the crowd will appear again... smiling with satisfied eyes. And you'll realize music is really beautiful," Jaebum explains and smiles. He looks at Jinyoung who shed small tears in the corner of his right eye. "Why? I'm sorry did I say something wrong?" Jaebum asks worriedly.

"I just feel like you understand music more than anyone else... Your voice is beautiful but your soul is even more beautiful. Stay longer! Stay longer to make music," Jinyoung says wiping away his tears.

 

 

Jinyoung and Jaebum become good friends after that night. Every Thursday and Saturday Jinyoung always goes to Jaebum's gigs. Then they will go home together. Jaebum doesn't live near but he never really tells Jinyoung where he leaves. He just suggests to go home together, Jinyoung, on the other hand, believes that Jaebum's house might be near to his apartment that's why he suggests to always go home together.

 

Jinyoung is packing his things to go to Jaebum's gig today. Yoojae appears in the door of his class.

"Is your class done?" Jinyoung asks Yoojae

"Yes, it is"

"Do you wanna go with me, I'm watching Jaebum's gig tonight"

"Actually... Jinyoung actually JB just called me that he canceled his gig tonight," Yoojae says.

Jinyoung checks his phone, "Huh? He didn't message me about that"

"He told me to just tell you," Yoojae explains.

"Wait I'll try to call him"

"No! No need... he doesn't want to be disturbed"

"What are you talking about, I just want to make sure he is okay"

"He is! He is Jinyoung! How about we eat dinner Jinyoung?"

"Oh... Okay," Jinyoung feels weird about JB's sudden cancellation of his gig but he feels like JB has his reasons.

 

 

2 weeks after.

"Why do you keep on canceling your gig?"

"I'm sorry I'm just busy these days"

"Why? What makes you busy," Jinyoung pouts and Jaebum smiles at how childish he is.

"Can't I be busy?" Jaebum smiles and his ice cream.

"I... I just miss you singing," Jinyoung says and looks at Jaebum.

Jaebum looks away, "I'm sorry looks like I'll be singing less and less"

"Can I ask why?"

"Just that, let's go! I thought you want to look for a guitar," Jaebum stands and starts walking when he felt a hand tugging his shirt.

"Don't disappear like that anymore. You got me worried there"

Jaebum looks back and smiles, "Arasu, I'll try to disappear less"

 

Jaebum and Jinyoung were looking around to the different shops.

"Why did you suddenly want to buy a guitar?"

"I actually want to do something"

"What is that?"

 I want to make a song with Im Jaebum"

Jaebum looks at him, "Suddenly?"

"Yeah, I've been planning to make a song with you cause I feel like, we can make a good one," Jinyoung smiles.

"It... It's been a while since I last make a song"

"It's okay let's take our time I still have a year and a half of half before I go"

"You quite have a long time"

"Unlike you... who have a reaaaaallly long time with music. I envy you"

"Don't... don't envy me"

"Hahahaha... whatever are you shy?"

"I'm not"

"Let's make a good song Im Jaebum," Jinyoung reaches his hand for a handshake.

Jinyoung always feels excited every Saturday, it's the day when Jaebum and he will meet and wrap up about their ideas.
