Escaping the Void
Description
The world had always consisted of vampires and humans. At one point they lived in harmony, mainly because at one point vampires were only able to roam at night while humans were only mobile during the day. As technology advanced and as biological changes occurred, they ran into one another more often. The two kingdoms often collided, the Vampier Kingdom of Void and the Human Kingdom of Light. The kingdoms had multiple wars, and at the end of the third Great War, the humans and vampires decided enough was enough. It was time for peace as both sides had lost a considerable amount of lives. The councils on both sides met at the First Meeting in an area that was the midline between the two kingdoms. The council decided that each king would sacrifice a child into a marriage between the kingdoms. The palace in which they would reside would be built at the midline, so that the people wouldn’t be upset about one side ruling over the other.
It was then that Prince Donghae met Prince Eunhyuk. Due to certain biological changes, both es were able to produce offspring. Prince Eunhyuk was the son of the Vampire King, Kim Junsu, who ruled over the Kingdom of Void. Prince Donghae was the son of the Human King, Jung Yunho, who ruled over the Kingdom of Light. The kings were not fond of this idea but they could not risk being overthrown by the people. So they forcibly agreed. Their sons and the council they would appoint, would be the mediators of all future conflict. The go through zone in case there was ever the chance of war. The building of their new home would take half a year, even with technological advances, and both princes had six months of freedom.
Donghae is an optimistic twenty one year old. He is well educated, having gone to university and graduated a year early. He is happy that there will be fewer wars in the future. However, he didn’t expect himself to be the scapegoat of peace. Donghae did all he could to learn about vampires and how to care for them, since his spouse was one. He didn’t know what to expect. Eunhyuk on the other hand, is a bit more realistic about life. He is also twenty one years old and is also educated. He thinks that a marriage between the two kingdoms will only create more trouble. He doesn’t know what to expect of the marriage or how long it would even last. He doesn’t know his partner at all and hopes that the latter would not get too attached. The last thing he needs on his plate is a relationship.
