The weeks had gone by, and now it had been a month since they had gotten married. Eunhyuk never once thought that he’d be with a human. He was rather fond of Donghae, the sweet human who cried for others, the one who never let his power get to his head and never once forgot to thank those around him. Eunhyuk himself was rather humble, so to have a humble partner that matched their status was a rare case. Eunhyuk’s parents would often introduce him to other vampires that he could potentially bond with, but they always seemed so power hungry that Eunhyuk knew they would never love him. Only his status. He’d always hated it, being prince meant having to act a certain way around others.

Always looking and acting pout together, never looking weak, of course, Eunhyuk could do it, anyone could. But he could never be himself, not even in his own home. In fact, underneath the calm and collected facade was a man who was rather romantic. He has his fair share of worries, but can’t seem to bring himself to share them with anyone. Because no one wants to listen to him if it’s not about politics, and no one wants to just let him speak. There was once when he trusted someone he knew with a letter, the letter was of no significant importance, just a thank you letter to his teacher for being a good educator. But that person went and spread it to a news outlet.

Of course, since it wasn’t that big of an issue, no one made a fuss, but it did leave Eunhyuk with a grand lesson. No one wants to listen if they can’t gain anything from it. No one except for Donghae. Donghae was strange, often when Eunhyuk would get upset about something, he would notice. And without Eunhyuk saying anything, he would hold his hand and calm him down, especially if they were in a public space. Donghae also got mad for him. The way Donghae cared for him made him feel as if he was the most important person in the world. And to some degree he was, but it was another feeling. Sometimes when Eunhyuk woke up early, he would watch the peaceful look on Donghae’s face. Donghae really did become his pillar.

Donghae had slowly but surely become attached to yet another being in his life. But this was something more, and whatever it was, it wasn’t the same feeling he had toward the other people he was attached to. Having given his most precious ity to Eunhyuk made him feel even more so attached to the said man. He was gentle, gentle with his caresses and kisses. He was understanding, either Donghae was an open book or Eunhyuk was really good at reading people because Eunhyuk always knows if something is on Donghae’s mind. Donghae was glad that he had been married to Eunhyuk.

“What are the updates on Ryeowook and Yesung?” Prince Eunhyuk asked during the council meeting.

“Yes, so they’ve wrapped up their search in Aramoor and are currently in Ballater. It has been three days since they arrived and have not found any suspicious activities in Aramoor, however, there is something going on in Ballater.” Siwon responded 

“Ballater? That place is usually quiet and doesn’t give trouble, what could possibly be going on?” Prince Donghae asked 

“Since Ryeowook is known among the humans, Yesung gathered the information. There seems to be an underground market located there.” Kibum responded this time

“Underground market? May you clarify?” Prince Donghae was confused, 

“Organs, drugs, alcohol. It’s a black market Prince Donghae.” Sungmin interjected 

“Is the King aware?” Prince Donghae asked, almost angry 

“I believe he is not,” Kibum answered 

“Let him know, we cannot have those kinds of activities going on.”

“Yes, it seems that the organs are being sold to a few vampires in particular. We have yet to identify them, but it can be estimated that the black market was founded long before your birth, Prince Donghae.” Henry informed 

“That justifies nothing. Once the orphanage project is complete, iron out the details for this one because that black market has to stop.” Prince Eunhyuk declared 

“Yes,”

“Speaking of the orphanage, how is it coming along?” Prince Donghae asked 

“Yes, the orphanage building had been built to accommodate the children. During the last meeting, it was decided that the psychologically stable older orphans would work at the orphanage until they are able to support themselves. We have been putting together research and data as to how to figure out the psychological stability of an individual without it being noticeable.” Victoria responded 

“When will the gathering of the children begin?” Prince Donghae asked in a slightly better mood. 

“They are currently being gathered to be brought to the midline as we speak. They will arrive by nightfall on Friday of next week, it would be easier on them for you to visit them the day after” Kyuhyun answered 

“Yes, Saturday morning after breakfast Prince Donghae and I, along with the rest of you, will go and visit the Orphans.” Prince Eunhyuk answered
