The following day, Donghae and Eunhyuk got dressed for breakfast. Donghae was rather excited to meet the orphans, it was as if his instincts were coming out. He wanted to hold the infants and play with the toddlers that were supposed to be there.

“Hae, relax, we still have to eat breakfast.” Eunhyuk said, putting on his coat

“I just can’t wait, I mean it’s sad they don’t have families anymore but we’ll be their family from now on,” Donghae said, fixing Eunhyuk’s tie before pecking his husband's lips. Eunhyuk smiled and brought Donghae in closer for a kiss. Ever since he realized that Donghae is pregnant, he has been falling deeper and deeper in love with him. It was as if Donghae was the center of his life. Donghae clung to Eunhyuk’s arm and Eunhyuk just smiled and helplessly agreed to what Donghae wanted. It’s not like he could say no.

“Also, I looked at the calendar, it’s been a month. You need blood.” Donghae looked at Eunhyuk with a serious face

“I don’t know if I can take your blood while you’re expecting,” Eunhyuk knotted his eyebrows, deep in thought.

“Hmm.. we wouldn’t wanna put the baby in danger. Let’s go talk to your doctor, he might know something.” Donghae said, rubbing his stomach.

“Yeah, let’s do that after lunch, today’s gonna be a long day, are you ready?” Eunhyuk asked Donghae 

“Of course Hyuk.” Donghae smiled 

After breakfast, Donghae became even more excited to see the orphans. He was glad that a majority of them had arrived safely. The vampire and human doctors were doing their medical examinations to see how healthy they are and if they need special care. Eunhyuk held Donghae’s hand as if trying to help the other contain his excitement. Donghae’s smile was especially bright today. It seems that his husband loves children. What more could I have asked for? Eunhyuk thought while smiling at Donghae. Donghae swung their hands back and forth, the others were behind the two princes, and couldn’t help but smile at Donghae’s excitement.

“He really loves children doesn’t he?” Kyuhyun smiled

“He really does,” Siwon answered

When they got to the new building, Donghae couldn’t help but smile even more.

“Please, Hae, you’re going to hurt your face if you keep smiling that hard” Eunhyuk chuckled at his husband

“I can’t help it! I’m excited!” Donghae laughed 

They entered the orphanage through the main doors and were guided to the cafeteria, where all of the orphans, except for the toddlers and infants, were. They were wrapping up breakfast and it was rather loud. The younger children looked rather lost and almost oblivious. The older children looked a bit disturbed but glad to be safe.

“A lot of the kids were found in some rubble, I don’t know how they managed to survive out there for so long without any support, but what matters is that they’re here,” Henry said to Prince Donghae

“Yeah, the guys that helped gather them and bring them here told me that a lot of the kids were living in abandoned houses and buildings,” Amber added

Donghae nodded at the information, it broke his heart to know of the poor living conditions of the children.

“Don’t tell them who we are, it’ll just intimidate them,” Donghae said to Eunhyuk, and Eunhyuk agreed.

“Welcome to the orphanage, this will be your new home until you are either adopted or old enough and able to support yourself. I am Eunhyuk and this is Donghae. We are the heads of this orphanage.” Eunhyuk said in his authoritative voice

“I hope you can make this orphanage your new home, we are very happy to call you our family. Do not hesitate to talk to us” Donghae added.
