Wendy sat alone at a cafe near Red Velvet’s apartment building. Seulgi was busy practicing at the company for her solo comeback; Irene was doing some hosting duties; Joy was filming her latest drama; and Yeri was hanging out with another celebrity, God knows who.
This was exactly the worst moment for Wendy to be alone. Sunggyu, that cheating bastard, just broke up with her. She caught him red-handed, but she was actually willing to forgive him. He kept on partying with other girls, but he promised it was nothing, and Wendy had nothing to worry about. Being the trusting girl that she is, Wendy believed him. She thought their relationship was stable – what’s there to be insecure about? She loved him, he said he loved her, and all is well.
But all was not well.
Just a few hours ago after their date, Sunggyu left his phone at her place, and a certain girl kept on calling his number. Wendy tried to ignore it, but the girl was persistent. She then finally saw the message notification on Sunggyu’s phone:
“Sunggyu... last night was great. When will we see each other again? I miss you. My body is craving for you.”
Just as she read the message, Sunggyu came into the door.
“Wendy-ah, I think I left my phone here.”
Sunggyu was shocked to see Wendy red-eyed, holding his phone, with tears streaming down her face.
“Oppa, please explain.”
Sunggyu rushed to her side and saw his buddy’s messages.
“Wendy-ah... I’m so sorry. I need to be honest and tell the truth...” Sunggyu couldn’t look at her in the eye.
Wendy was in a daze. She couldn’t believe this was happening.
“Sunggyu, just tell me it isn’t true. Tell me she’s just one of those sasaengs. Or if it’s true... Sunggyu, you love me, right? Please...” She was desperate. How naive she was to think that Sunggyu was the love of her life.
