Fic: Which Team Are You On? (OT4)

“Hey,” Mijin says brightly as she flings an arm around Seolrin. “You know we’re actually the Solstice couple.”

“And why is that?” Seolrin asks politely as she tries to remove Mijin’s arm to no avail.

“Because you’re winter and I’m summer, which are the two seasons with solstices! So we’re actually the solstices.”

“Are you saying Yejeong unnie and I aren’t part of the group?” Haeun yells from the corner. “You’re breaking my heart.”

“What heart,” Yejeong mutters, and Haeun ignores her.

“You two can be in a sub-unit called Equinox,” Mijin says. “I’d come to all the shows!”

Seolrin snorts. “Lee Mijin, the biggest Season there is.”

“Nobody can beat Yejeong unnie when it comes to being a snowflake though,” Haeun says, easily holding Yejeong off from strangling her. “She basically invented Team Winter.”

“You know Haeun has like two feet on you, right?” Seolrin says to Yejeong, watching their struggle with amusement. “I think you’re hurting yourself more than her.”

“You could help,” Yejeong says pointedly.

“Why would I do that?” Seolrin gives a sweet smile. “You’re on Team Winter. That doesn’t mean I’m on Team Fall.”

“So which team are you on then?” Mijin asks, with an anticipatory look on her face.

“Hmm.” Seolrin pretends to think about it. “Team Spring, of course.”

Haeun reaches over, half-dragging Yejeong with her, so she can high five Seolrin. Yejeong slumps exaggeratedly onto the floor, like the soul has drained out of her, and Mijin pats her on the shoulder consolingly.

“There, there,” Mijin says. “Just because you’re Fall doesn’t mean you have to literally fall.”

That sets Haeun off, and then Seolrin, and finally Mijin. Yejeong heaves out a sigh and raises her eyes to the ceiling.

“You kids have no respect for your leader.”

“Sorry, leader unnie,” Haeun says, showing her famed puppy dog eyes, and Yejeong starts to soften. “I guess it’s just hard to have respect for a short pushover.”

“Yah, Ji Haeun! I know where you sleep!”

Lmao that’s not what I had in mind when thinking of “which team are you on.” Yejeong really did invent #teamwinter though. She probably runs that account that just spams Seolrin pics every day. Sweet OT4 interactions but I can see your MiRin bias coming through.
