I haven’t seen Sojung this distracted and tense (well not like I’ve known her for a long time). It’s just herself is so different from the calm Sojung that I know 

We’re inside the director’s room and we’re waiting for Yuju to arrive. I guess she’s acting this way because of Yuju... the person whom broke her and up until now she still haven’t gotten over her

Eunha stood up from her chair and walked towards the door and just stood there until we heard a knock coming from the other side

As soon the door opened, a tall girl with a fringe with her hair tied up gave Eunha a tight hug and a peck on the lips

I turned my head in the direction of Sojung and I saw her trembling, her eyes quivering, both of her fists clenched on her lap

“Are you okay?” I leaned to her direction and whispered and I know it’s a pretty stupid question because it’s obviously that she wasn’t okay even how hard you look at it

She turned head to me but never did she make any eye contact. She lowered her head and nodded which made me worry and concerned about how she was feeling at the moment

I cleared my throat—aloud—so that the couple flirting near the door would stop from making Sojung more uncomfortable

“You do know that we’re still here” I joked and glanced at Sojung who’s head was still looking down on her lap

“Sorry. Was just excited that I finally have seen my baby” Said Yuju with a gleeful voice which made me close my eyes in disbelief

She was staring at me and then looked at Sojung who was sitting across me and then Yuju tilted her head, trying to guess who was the girl who had her head down

“Ah. that on the left is the photographer, Sinb and the one on the right is Sojung, your co-model” Eunha said enthusiastically and whispered and told Yuju to sit beside Sojung and I could tell that she was also trying not to make the air around us thicker

I guess Eunha had no idea about the two models’ past with each other

Eunha discussed the plan and other objectives of the photoshoot and there was one that caught my attention

“The both of you should show that you have a great chemistry with each other”

I doubt that she could be able to say that if she knew what the two’s past is...

I could already imagine how awkward and dense the photoshoot would be unless the both of them could take away their personal feelings while working but I doubt it... specially on how Sojung is acting

“Sojung-ssi, why are you so quiet? That’s very unusual for you to be this quiet” Eunha said looking worried at her which Sojung reciprocated with a weak and forced smile

“I’m sorry. Many things was just running through my mind” Sojung said weakly and Yuju was staring at her with guilt visible in her eyes

Sojung stood up and excused herself because she still had other business to attend to which I think she just made up to run away from the place because she was getting suffocated

After she exited the room, I excused myself also to go after her. I jogged towards Sojung and held her wrist and made her turn to my direction

I saw her eyes was colored bloody red and tears were falling nonstop from her eyes making me unable to do anything

I don’t know why my heart was breaking down seeing her in a weak and fragile state

“Why are you crying?...” and here we go again with the stupid question. I clearly know the reason yet why was I asking her?

She didn’t answer me but instead even broke down and her sobs went louder making me pull her into a hug and started to caress her back to help her stop from crying

“It hurts...”

“It still hurts...”

She kept saying that between her sobs and all I could do was listen to her and told her to let it all out because it would help. I know it would.

It took a while before her sobs stopped and when it did, she broke off our hug and gave me her fake smile

“Has she ever been this sad and lonely?” I asked in my mind

I stepped closer to her and held both of her hands and looked at her in the eye “Do you plan on always running away when you’re scared of something?”

She furrowed her brows and tried pulling her hands from my grip but I didn’t let her

“Don’t run away Sojung. Face her and... you know I’m just right here by your side to catch and to watch you” I said with determination because I can’t just let her run... running away wouldn’t make her feel better. It would just cause her more pain

“And why would you do that?” Her voice was hoarse and she was taken aback at what I was saying to her

I took a deep breath before saying “Because I’m your wife... and that’s what they do right? They’re always there to catch their other half... and it’s perfect... our contract ends exactly when you’re modeling contract ends” I couldn’t believe what I just said but it’s true, I’m willing to back her up and stay by her side so that she could overcome her fear of her past

I came with Sojung to my the set and I watched over her the whole time because Yuju was always beside her due to the preparation for the photoshoot

And I don’t know what came up to me and I kept taking stolen photos of her while she was in the process of having her make up done and looking at the photos, a smile kept lurking on my face

“Why are you smiling, Eunbi?” Sojung asked with a smirk on her face making me flustered all of a sudden

“H-huh? W-who was smiling?” I want to shrink down and disappear because of how embarrassing that was

“You could’ve just told me you wanted to take photos of me but oh well, at least I know that you’re mesmerized by my beauty” I scoffed at what she said although I agree that she’s beautiful but talk about such a huge self confidence she have

“Stop being overconfident of yourself, Kim Sojung” I said while trying to contain myself from smiling

“I’m not being overconfident Hwang. I’m just stating a fact and maybe you should be the one who should stop denying that my beauty have captured you” she said sarcastically with a mix of boast and I raised my hand up in the air to admit that I have been defeated

“You two make such a great couple” Yuju interrupted making our smiles fade and the air around us grow thicker like it can suffocate us anytime

“What? Did I say something wrong? It’s true though. Both of you has so much chemistry” Yuju looked at me then at Sojung with a smiling face

I saw how Sojung’s body stiffen up and both of her fists where clenched. I know at that very moment, she wanted to scream at Yuju and ask her why she appeared in front of her again when everything seem already perfect

I leaned away from the wall and walked towards Sojung and put my hand on her shoulder and squished it trying to tell her that I was here and I would never leave her alone until her pain goes away—until she moves on from Yuju...

The door of the room opened and a staff peeked inside and said “Five minutes before the start of the photoshoot. Double time if you want to get home early”

Yuju stood up and excused herself and when she was gone, Sojung’s body suddenly felt weak and her clenched fists were slowly opening

“Don’t make it obvious that you haven’t move on from her” I said as I remove my hand that was placed on her shoulders and tucked both of my hands inside my pocket

“How?”

“I don’t know” I shrugged and continued “I guess you should try to show her that you’ve been even better when she left because that scar she have left you, made you an even stronger person” Then I removed my left hand from my pocket and offered it for her to take which she hesitantly took before standing

I smiled at her and interlocked my hand with her and put our hands on my pocket and looked at her with a weak smile

“Show everyone, specially her, that you’ve been better and always remember I’m just here to back you up”

Oh and I saw a comment saying that this inspired from a movie was it? It’s actually isn’t. I haven’t watched that... not very fond of tvs or movies~ I’m more of a book person
