Chapter 33: the thing with Xuan Yi was obviously wrong, she mocked a traditional Indian dance so yeah she deserves to receive the criticism, the thing that bothers is me the people yelling “cancelled” “problematic” etc. What she (+ the other few who helped with the “choreo”) did was wrong, but I want to say that it was out of ignorance and not knowing the significance of the dance (tbh I didnt know the significance of the dance either lol but we all learn something new everyday right?) Not alot of people know how/why their actions can affect others + not everyone is knowledgable about every other topic in the world. I’m not going to cancel Xuan Yi for her one (1) ignorant mistake, I hope someone gets a hold of her and educates her I guess? because she clearly doesnt know what she did was offensive.
