A few days after Jiwoo’s lunch date with Matthew, Jiwoo gets a text from him asking if she was free on Saturday. She smiles and replies that she is indeed free. He then asks if she would be his date for a formal event and possibly meet his parents.

Jiwoo thinks about it for a minute.

“Somin?”

“Yeah?” Somin replies from the kitchen where she was getting a quick snack. 

“I think Matthew wants to introduce me to his parents”, Jiwoo says from the sofa in the living room.

“Oh, are you two a real couple now?” Somin asks as she pops her head out through the kitchen.

“No…”

“Oh”

“Right?”

“It is a bit strange”, Somin agrees.

“What should I say?”

“What do you feel like saying?”

“I don’t know!”

“How do you feel about going to meet his parents?”

“I don’t know…how should I feel?” Jiwoo asks.

“I would be happy that he thinks I’m good enough to meet his parents”, Somin said.
