Recount:

Nails: if someone likes you enough, their eye colour appears on your nails. If more than one person likes you enough, the rules remain the same, you just have some nails one eye colour and other nails another; whichever crusher likes you more claims more nails if there is an uneven amount of nails divided between the crushers. 

"Crusher": term of someone who likes another strong enough that their eye colour appears on said other's nails.

"Host": term of someone who is liked by another enough that said other's eye colour appears on their nails.

Eye colour: eye colour changes depending on one's mood, be it becoming more in depth or clouding over. Since this occurs, the nail colour on the host changes along with the eye of the crusher. 

Dark Pink: if the crusher decides to never reveal their feelings, the host's nails will turn a dark pink until they take notice, and then all colour disappears. This occurs more often than any other effect. 

White: if the crusher decides to reveal their feelings, the host's nails will turn a white until the crusher reveals themselves, to which afterwards all colour disappears.

Focus: if the crusher reveals their feelings, and the white on the nails of the host disappear, that doesn't mean the crusher no longer loves the host, so why does all colour disappear? It is thought that colour disappears from nails once the host knows who their crusher is. Therefore, if the host concentrates enough, they can make the colour of their crusher appear on their nails once more, as long as said crusher still likes them.

Jimin: Host of two crushers, them being Taehyung and Hoseok.

Hoseok: Crusher of Jimin, currently dating Taehyung.

Taehyung: Crusher of Jimin, currently dating Hoseok.

Namjoon: Crusher of Seokjin, Host of Seokjin, currently dating Seokjin.

Seokjin: Crusher of Namjoon, Host of Namjoon, currently dating Namjoon.

Yoongi: Host of unknown crusher.

Dreams: It is thought that host and dreamer are not only connected physically by the eye and nail, but also mentally by dreams. Therefore, if either slips into REM during sleep, the other will also experience the dream. If both do so, the dreams combine and interact with one another. However, if the crusher or host sleeps and has a dream while the other is awake, it will not effect the other (because they are connected by subconscious, not consciousness).

Hoseok was giddy over his nails, chattering excitedly about how the colour had gone from a light almond colour to a brilliant, pure white.

"So soon, too!" he chirped as Yoongi dragged him and Taehyung behind him, heading back to school from Jimin's house. "I've only just noticed it, and yet its all the sudden white! I wonder who it is?? Oh, Taehyung I hope you're not jealous~ After all, we are prepping for a relationship between us and Jiminie. Ah, but don't worry, I'll turn them down kindly; there's no way I'd replace either of my maknae."

Taehyung didn't reply to Hoseok's rambling. He just stared at the ground with a small, sad smile as he stumbled along to keep up with Yoongi's pace. Yoongi himself was also excited, knowing that some weight would be lifted off the two's shoulders once they started dating for real. Which Yoongi had hardly any doubt that they wouldn't, seeing as they've been practising for this anyway. 

After he felt he was far enough, Yoongi came to a stop and tossed his maknae in front of another. Hoseok ended up tripping and landing on his side, but he was too animated to care; he just laughed it off and got back on his feet. Without looking at the other boys, Hoseok kept on with the small conversation that only carried to himself, whilst Yoongi and Taehyung had a silent argument about Taehyung's confession. It took several minutes of convincing, but with his eyes alone Yoongi was able to both calm down Taehyung and build up his confidence enough to avow.
