Taeyeon change a lot after he was left alone by his family. He still unable to contact his wife and daughters. He used to ask Tiffany about Jessica but he end up get murderous glare from her. Starting from that moment, he never ask again. He also stop going out with his girlfriend. Now he only focus on his work and searching for his family. He not giving up on them

“Taeng, you’re zoning out. Something wrong somewhere?” Yul sit beside Taeyeon at the cafeteria

“Nothing wrong Yul”

“Still thinking about your family?”

“Always”

Yul fold his arms on the table “I don’t know where they are now but they are fine. I tried to ask my wife about them but she is not telling me. I just heard a bit from Seulgi since he often meet with Irene”

“What should I do to bring them back Yul? I am hopeless now” Taeyeon said weakly

“Be patience for a while okay? Soon you will find a way to settle your problem”

“I don’t know if I have chance to meet them. Sooyoung obviously hate me not to mention their mother. I worry about Yeri. Usually she will sick if we apart from each other too long. I miss my family” Taeyeon vision blurred by tears

“Don’t give up, okay? Sooner or later you will meet them” Yul paused “If you want them back, make sure you not repeating the same mistake. No playing around anymore. If only they give you chance but you still the old Taeyeon, I bet it will be the last time you see them”

Taeyeon remain silent as he register what Yul just said to him. Yul continue after no respond from his friend “You’re silent, are you not agree with me? You don’t want to quit cheating? If you still wanted to enjoy your life then you just continue but don’t expect your family return to you. You’re greedy, don’t you realize it? You want to enjoy yourself with random woman and at the same time you want to keep your family. If there is no more love for them, set them free. Sica and the girls deserve someone who can protect them. Someone that they can rely on and always be there whenever they need him. If you can’t do that then it’s better to stop looking for them” Yul sighs heavily “We’re not getting young, Taeng. We will need our kids to take care of us. We’re not always on top. Now you might not need your daughters but when you fall then you will see the value of your family. Remember the day you take Jessica as your wife. You not marry her just because she is pretty and smart but you want to start a family with her. You vow to protect her until you die but what happen now? All you do is breaking her heart. Meanwhile Taeyeon daughters getting fond with Siwon. They are very happy whenever Siwon come to visit them and bring lot of foods. Jessica also happy seeing her daughter having fun. The girls also often going out with Siwon either go to the mall or just go to convenient store to buy snacks. Siwon spoiling the girls like his own daughters

Irene arrive at home but she didn’t see her sisters around. Only her mother lounge at living room watching TV

“Mommy, where is Yeri and Sooyoung?” Irene sit beside her mom

“They are going out with uncle Siwon”

“Ohh” Irene said “Mom, do you think Uncle Siwon like you romantically?”

“Ayy, why would you think like that?”

“Who know if only he fall for you…will you accept him?”

“I am too old to date”

“You still look young though” Irene nudging her mother lightly

“I do look young but about dating again, I don’t want. I’m tired thinking about love”

“I don’t know yet sweetie. I still can’t make decision. I don’t want to separate all of you with your dad but at the same time I so sick of him. He not change since before. I will considerate if this is his first time cheating but he did it before you born. You’re 24 years old now but he still act like he is single. I don’t think his parents make mistake when they register his birth”

“I not encourage you to divorce with daddy. He is my father and I love him. I love both of you. Whatever is your decision, we will support you. If you decide to stay then we will make things right together but if you choose to part way then we will go far away. You hurt enough mommy. I and Sooyoung know it even you try hard to hide from us. We’re really worry about you. You deserve someone who can make you happy. Either you choose daddy or not, we don’t mind as long as you are happy”

“Thanks darling” Jessica hugging her daughter and kiss her temple “Whatever happen in future, mommy first choice is 3 of you. No one will ever take your place in my heart. Having you and your sisters are enough for me. All I want now is seeing my babies live happily without stress about family problem. You just focus on your work while your sisters focus study hard. The other matter let mommy handle it”

“Okay mommy” said Irene “But mommy as long as you can work things out with daddy, please do it. Please mommy…for all of us” her mother just answer with short nods. After that she excuse herself to her room

Joy and Yeri already arrive at home when Irene return to living room after showering. Yeri sit on her mom laps while Joy sit on the chair watching TV

“Unnie!” Yeri squeal seeing her unnie show up at living room

“Hi baby, where are you going earlier?” Irene squish Yeri cheeks

“I go out with Uncle Siwon and Sooyoung unnie. We buy pizza for dinner” the maknae pointing at 2 box of pizza on coffee table

“Unnie, Seulgi oppa buy rice cake for you” said Joy while pointing at plastic bag beside pizza box

“You all meet him earlier?”

“Yes, we bump into him and Wendy unnie. They buy snack so he buy for you too”

“Okay” Irene said happily

“Girls, let’s eat now. You two still need to do your homework after this” Jessica said to her daughters

Taeyeon go to the mall to buy something. When he exit the store, he saw Jessica in front of ice cream shop. Without thinking twice, he run to his wife

The said woman tilt her head looking at Taeyeon blankly “What do you want?”

“Sica, where are you going all these times? Where do you bring our daughters?” asked Taeyeon

“It none of your business”

“Please Sica, bring them back to our house” Taeyeon begging

“No way, just bring your mistress to stay with you. No one stopping you anymore”

Suddenly Yeri run out of the shop with ice cream “Mommy!” she grin then she look to her side “Daddy!” she throw up her arms asking her dad to carry her where Taeyeon quickly do it

He showered Yeri with kisses and hugging the girl tightly. He miss the little one so much “Baby, daddy miss you”

“I miss you too daddy” Yeri kiss her dad cheek “When I can go home with you?”

“Yeri” Jessica calling her daughter sternly “We’re going home now. Uncle Siwon is waiting”

Taeyeon noticed that a man stand beside Jessica. It make his heart broken more. He startled by Yeri voice “Daddy, I will go home now. We will meet again, right?” the girl voice shaking

“Yes baby, we will meet again. Be a good girl, okay? Say hi to your unnie. Daddy miss them”

“Okay daddy, I love you” Yeri hugging her dad tightly

“Daddy love you too” Taeyeon caressing Yeri back not minding Jessica cold stare. He put Yeri down after that and Jessica quickly grab Yeri hand “Don’t be too harsh on her”

“Not your business!”

“Bye daddy” Yeri looking at her dad sadly

“Bye baby” Taeyeon send his daughter of with teary eyes

Since he already bought what he need, he decide to go home. He not in mood to walk around anymore

Meanwhile at Siwon car, the ride is silent. Yeri abandon her ice cream and let it melt in plastic bag. Jessica also not saying anything

“Jessica, are you okay?” Siwon asking softly

“I’m good”

“Emm, that man earlier…is he their father?”

“Yeah, right” Siwon stop asking more before he make Jessica more upset

Taeyeon have meeting around Irene workplace so he use that chance to meet his daughter. Right after office hour end, he rushed to the building to wait for Irene. Soon as he saw her, he hurriedly approaching the girl. Without any complain, Irene following her dad to nearby park

“How’s life now?” Taeyeon start their conversation

“Everything is fine daddy”

“Do you hate daddy?” Taeyeon ask hesitantly

Irene shaking her head slowly “No…never in my wild imagination hating my own father. If not because of you, I won’t be who I am now. Your behavior maybe bad but you’re the best dad. I never hate you daddy, believe me but I can’t disobey mommy” she confess while look straight to her dad eyes

“Thank you for not hating daddy. Daddy also love all of you so much. I’m very sorry for hurting your mother and all of you too. Maybe daddy is too late but daddy will never stop begging for apologize. Daddy regret everything. Even if we’re not allow to meet each other, daddy always waiting for you guys to come back to our house. Daddy never stop waiting. Daddy never stop loving all of you”

Irene tears slowly dropping down her cheek when she saw her dad holding his tears. She is not strong seeing him on verge of crying and look weak “Daddy, we will be back. Let mommy calm down first, okay?”

“No honey, you mom hate me so much. She will never forgive me. I hurt her a lot since back then. Daddy deserve resentment from her”

“Daddy” Irene holding her dad hands “Whatever happen, we always a family. We love you and never hating you. No one will break us until death do us apart. If everyone resent you, remember that I always hold your back. I never leave you daddy. I always updated about you. I know everything happen to you daily. Seulgi keep me updated. Please daddy, be strong for us”

“I don’t know how long I can be strong. I commit lot of sins to my own family. I’m really a jerk”

“Hyun, promise to daddy…if in the future we’re not together anymore, please take care of your sisters and your mom. Be a good daughter to your mommy. Lead your sisters to good path. Daddy know you will make it”

“Dad, are you leaving us?” Irene worry

“No, daddy always here but daddy need you to promise”

“I promise dad”

“Thank you sweetie” Taeyeon smiling weakly “Tell Sooyoung that daddy apology. Daddy miss her so much”

“Dad, she don’t hate you. She just upset because of what you had done. She will forgive you though”

“I hope so”

Irene stare at her dad softly “Please dad, change to a better person if you want mommy to forgive you. Show her that you’re not the old version of yourself. Make her believe that you able to be a good husband and father. There is still a chance for you to win her heart. She not hating you completely. I’m with her every day so I know her well. If she hate you, she already sending divorce paper but nothing come, right?”

“Yup” Taeyeon nods his head

“Believe me that she giving you chance to change. She maybe not saying anything but her action can tell. It has been a month yet she not doing anything. Why would she leave you hanging if she really don’t want you anymore in her life? Do the best for us, okay daddy? We need you. We need our dad beside us”

“Who is the man with her? I bump into them last weekend. She and Yeri are with someone”

“That is Uncle Siwon. He is our neighbor”

Taeyeon frown “Do you think your mom like him?”

“That’s why I want you to work hard to win mommy again. It not possible if mommy fall for him because he treat us kindly. Don’t lose to anyone, dad. She is still you legal wife. Do you dare to see him with mommy or he walk us down the aisle on our wedding?” asked Irene

“Of course not” Taeyeon deny “I will do my best even your mom is hard to break”

“Yeah, work extra hard. Maybe it easy for you to woo her before but not it very hard”

“Hmm” Taeyeon sighs

“Daddy, I have to go now. It’s getting late. I don’t want mommy to worry” Irene stand up from the bench

“Okay, drive carefully” Taeyeon hugging his daughter then kiss her forehead “This is pocket money for you and your sisters” he give generous amount of money to Irene

“Thanks daddy”

“Please unblock me from your number so we can keep in touch”

Irene scratch her head “Emm, can you buy new number to make it safe? I still use my number so contact me after you get new one”

“Alright” Taeyeon agree “Kiss everyone for me”

Taeyeon walk Irene to parking lot then he also leave after make sure Irene leaving safely

Taeyeon walk lazily to the door. Someone is ringing the bell disturbing his rest day on weekend. He not expect any guest to come. As he open the door, his eyes turn wide when he saw his parents outside

“Appa, umma, why do you come without inform me?” he said while inviting them in

“Do we need to make appointment if we want to visit our son?” Mdm. Kim asking sarcastically

“Why do your house look empty? Where are my granddaughters?”

The question make Taeyeon nervous to death “Hey, why are you not answering your appa? Is that question is too hard?” his mother ask

“Umma, appa…actually…there is something happen and they…moved out” Taeyeon stutter badly

“WHAT?” the elders shout

“What happened Kim Taeyeon? Why would your family leaving you?” Mrs. Kim ask firmly

Taeyeon hand shaking in fear “I…I cheating and Jessica find out. She is really angry then she bring the girls run away. We are not together for a month now”

As expected, Taeyeon got a hard smack from his father “What a shameless son? No wonder your family leaving you. You deserve it” said Mr. Kim

Taeyeon crying in pain while rubbing his head. Then his mother speak “Do you divorce?”

“No…we just live separately”

“Jessica should just divorce you. She should find a man better than you” Mr. Kim sternly said

“Call her to come here. I want to talk to her” Mrs. Kim stated

“U…umma, she block my number” Taeyeon quietly said

His mother rolling her eyes and grab her phone. She dialing Jessica number. After few beeps, the line connected

Mrs. Kim: Sica, umma and appa at your house now but we shocked that you moved out already. We heard from Taeyeon already but it better if we here from your side too. Can you come here and we discuss about the problem? According to Taeyeon, it has been a month since the chaos happen so it not nice it we left it hanging for too long

They hang up then Mrs. Kim glare at Taeyeon again “You are very disappointing” she said to her son. Taeyeon just sit silently, nervous at what going to happen later

Jessica arrived an hour later as she promised. She only come alone without the girls. They settle at living room and Taeyeon parents start their interrogation. Jessica telling them about their son behavior even the elder already know that Taeyeon never quit from being a player. Taeyeon don’t say anything regarding the issue. His parents giving him dirty look. They are really shame on him.

“So…what are you two going to do now?” Mr. Kim looking at the couple

“I choose to separate for a while. I need to calm my mind” Jessica stated firmly

Taeyeon look at his wife “I don’t mind if you want to stay away but please let me meet the girls”

“How long you guys will stay at different place? There are pro and cons if you choosing this way. You can’t just choose to leave your relationship hanging by staying separately for years. You have to make closing. Remember that you two have 3 daughters that need your focus. It may be comfortable to stay separately but what about next time? Don’t delay it. Either you cut it off or start again? Both choice are not wrong. You can start fresh with the girls or you can divorce but still meeting them whenever you two are free. The choice is in your hand now” Mrs. Kim looking at Taeyeon then Jessica

“I always give you chance before this but you take it for granted. I know you will do the same thing again next time. You used to promise too but look what happen now? All you could do is asking for forgiveness, want a chance then repeat the same mistake. I’m so sick of lie!”

“This is last chance I want from you” Taeyeon begging with his eyes

Taeyeon slump his shoulder “I will not give up. If we divorce, the girls will stay with me”

“I also not giving up fighting for my daughters. They will be abandon child because you will not taking care of them!” Jessica balled her fist. If not for her parent-in-law, she already slap Taeyeon face

“Calm down will you two?” Mr. Kim stopping the couple bickering “You haven’t divorce yet but already this chaotic. What if your daughter witness this scene? Both of you will end up hurting them. Please discuss properly like an adult. You shouting at each other only make the situation worse. Don’t you embarrass if your neighbor hear it?” he looking at them sternly “I give you 1 month to make decision. If you can’t give me answer when I come back exactly a month from now, I will take your children with me and your umma. I will take back the legacy that I give to both of you. I mean my words Taeyeon, Jessica. This is important decision so don’t take it for granted”

Mrs. Kim added “Jessica, please move back to this house. Staying separately will not solving problem. It no different like you run away from your problem. Bring your kids back soon as possible”

In the evening, Jessica bring Yeri to the playground. Joy also join them while Irene go out for date with Seulgi. Jessica sit on the bench watching her daughters playing happily. Joy is 19 years old but she still wanted to play around with the kids

Siwon also come to join them. He sit with Jessica on the bench. Sometimes he laughing seeing the kids’ antic. It make Jessica wondering why he not married yet since he love kids so much

“Oppa, can I ask something?”

“I am barren. I can’t give her child so I decide to let her go. She not agree with the break up but I want her to have complete family with husband and kids. I can’t do that for her so I choose to set her free”

“It’s hurt to hear” Jessica clutching her shirt

“It really hurt. It took years for me to get over her. Letting her go is not easy because I love her so much but I don’t want to be selfish. Her happiness is a matter to me. I let her go completely during her wedding day. My heart broken into pieces when I witness a woman that I love so much stand in front of altar with another man. Moving on is the hardest process when you really love that person”

“You’re amazing that you can go through it alone”

Siwon turn his body to face Jessica “I don’t know what happen in your marriage but I advice you, as long as you can find a way out of your problem please don’t choose to divorce. It’s hard Jessi, believe me. I had been there before. I know I just a stranger and I don’t have right to involve in your personal but as your friend, I don’t want to see you and your daughters hurt. Your girls need their dad and you need your husband too. You can be selfish but what about the girls? Will they be fine if you divorce? I don’t think they will be okay especially Yeri. She don’t know anything. They miss their daddy. Joy and Yeri used to confess when they go out with me. I feel sorry for them but I can’t do anything. I just able to say everything will be fine soon. Their father may be bad but his daughters still need him. I can see how much he miss Yeri when we bump into him before. Think carefully, okay?”
