Jesse tossed his briefcase on his bed and plop his body on soft mattress after comes home from office. He heaves long sighs and plans to take a nap since he’s quite tired after whole day at site. Unfortunately his eyes not cooperate with him. He turn his head to his right and see a calendar on his nightstand

“Anniversary” he said to no one in particular

Today is his 3rd anniversary with his wife but unluckily they never celebrate it together. Jesse sadly looking at their wedding picture on the table and he flash sad smile to it. His wife is out on country for 2 weeks business trip

“I missed you Taengoo” single tears drop down to his cheek then he wipe it slowly

He goes to his study table and take out his diary. He opens it slowly and turns the page one by one

Today I told you that I caught a fever and you worried sick. You ask me to take meds and scold me for being stubborn because I not eat meds immediately. You always there when I need you even it is early in the morning. You tell me you hate it when you can’t be there for me when I need you the most. I really touched by your words. How lovely it is if you can stay by my side and attend me when I need you but I said it’s ok, mom can take care of me.

This weekend you have company event and you go somewhere with your colleagues. That place is quite far from the city and internet connection is poor. You’re sad because we can’t keep-in-touch like usual but you try to text me when you’re free. I said we can text when you’re home later at night but you scold me. You said “Why you keep run away when I try to be close to you?” and you’re angry at me. Well, I try my best to comfort you and this is our first little argument.

We have big fight today for some reason. We keep scolding each other but you scold me more than I did to you. We suppose to be happy today but I’m not really in mood to have fun because of our argument. Luckily your mood change at night and text each other like usual. You quite clingy and I know you missed me. I missed you too baby. You complained that you’re bored and tired when your parents insist you to go along with them to their friend’s house.

I try to text you again and you reply “bring me food now!”. I quickly buy your favorite food and go to your place because I don’t want to create mistake again. At your place, we just stare at the foods on the table and you not even touch a bit. Then you glare at me when I ask if you don’t like those foods. After few second I realized that your eyes teary and you cry. I embrace you quickly and comforting you like I used to do. You said you missed me and apologized for your harsh words to me. I said it’s ok and I deserve that treatment from you.

Jesse close the diary as he can’t bring himself to read more about how much he suffer after his breakup with his girlfriend once before. She’s close yet so far with him. Even they unexpectedly marry to each other but still he can’t have Taeyeon like before. Things are not going well between them and Taeyeon still resent him.

After 2 weeks, Taeyeon return from overseas. Jesse welcomed her with wide smile while she looked at him nonchalantly

“Welcome home” Jesse said and carry the luggage to the bedroom

“Thanks” Taeyeon said and follow Jesse to her bedroom. Even they are married, they not sharing bedroom like other couple

“Have you eat?”

“No, I’m not hungry”

“Alright, I left food in the fridge. Just heat it if you want to eat later”

“Ok”

“I go to my room. Good night” Jesse walk slowly to the door

‘Yup, she just talk to me lazily and it’s good enough that her mood is not bad today’ – Jesse

‘True. Hey, about the house that we survey last week, is it settle already?’ – Jesse

‘Yeah, I met with Mr. Im yesterday and he said you can move in anytime’ – Stephan

‘Good’ – Jesse

‘Are you sure you want to buy that house? I mean you not doing something stupid, right?’ – Stephan

‘I’m sure buddy. Don’t worry, I’m not doing anything stupid like what you think now. I just need that house when I need alone time’ – Jesse

Before Jesse put his phone on the table, it ringing and he answer it. It was call from his cousin, Krystal Jung

‘Hey Soojung, how are you?’ – Jesse

‘I’m fine oppa, how about you?’ – Krystal

‘I’m good too’ – Jesse

‘How is Taeyeon unnie?’ – Krystal

‘She’s fine too’ – Jesse

‘From your voice, I assume that both of you still don’t have any progress’ – Krystal

‘Yeah, we still not going anywhere. So, why you suddenly call?’ – Jesse

‘My graduation ceremony is next week on Wednesday, can you come?’ – Krystal

‘Sure, mom and dad come too, right?’ – Jesse

‘Yes oppa and I hope you also come with us and if possible, invite unnie too’ – Krystal

‘I not promise if she will come but I’ll be there’ – Jesse
