Ji Wook loved to take care of his pregnant wife.

He never knew before how fulfilling it is to see that he could help her do the simplest of things that she now had difficulty in doing.

She asks him for help to wear her flat sandals when she had to go out because she had difficulty reaching down with her already big baby bump and she cutely demands certain foods that she was suddenly craving, poking him in his arm while he reads a book in their bed. He had to help her wash and blowdry her hair when she was just too sluggish and tired to do anything especially when she has cramps.

He would be tired from work but he would never be tired in helping her. In fact, it made him really happy that she wanted his help especially since he isn't with her majority of the day and could only serve her on mornings and evenings.

To top it all off, she never failed to show him her appreciation with her purest smiles, sweetest kisses and sincere i love you's. Sure, she was grumpy and moody at times but she would always be sorry at the end of the day.

Having a pregnant wife was proving to be an enjoyable experience for him even though his already daddy co-workers looked at him ridiculously whenever they heard him talk fondly of his pregnant wife's antics.

Did they not like serving their wives when they got them pregnant? How foolish and stupid.

Their life continued to carry on until the day came when he wondered if having her pregnant was indeed enjoyable or not.

On Bong Hee's 39th week of pregnancy, Ji Wook had the biggest fright of his life.

They were bickering a bit about his attitude towards the two new lawyers of their firm with Bong Hee scolding him for being grumpy towards them when she suddenly gasped in pain and held her abdomen.

He jumped in his seat in surprise, quickly going towards her to hold her shoulder. "Are you okay? What's wrong?"

She didn't reply to him, she couldn't with her face scrunched up and her biting her lip to withstand the pain.

"Bong Hee-ya." Ji Wook was quickly entering into a state of panic. She wasn't due yet in another week! Was she gonna give birth earlier?!?

"Wait..." she barely responded and breathed repeatedly to calm herself down.

"Are you going into labor? Should i go prepare the car?" he made a move to get his car keys when she grabbed his arm and shook her head vigorously.

"Jagiya, calm down. We talked about this remember?" realization hit him when he recalled how they attended this one seminar where expecting parents were trained and informed on what to do when the mother is suspected to be going into labor. He was more than willing to accompany her to attend the seminar cause he didn't like not knowing what to do when the time comes.

Her sudden painful grip to his arm made him flinch.

"I'm sorry." she quickly apologized and scrunched her face in pain.

"No it's okay. I can take it." he covered her hand with his as a gesture of support. He didn't care if his arm ends up with a bright mark with her painful grip although he couldn't help but reflect her painful expression in his face due to instinct to seeing her in pain.

He looked at his watch as he timed her contractions to determine if she was having real labor. If it were up to him, he would instantly take her to the hospital, false labor or not.

"argh damn it." Bong Hee couldn't help but curse as another wave of needle-like pain shoot up in her pelvis.

"Tell me what should i do? What can i do to help?" he begged her as he wiped away the sweat that were quickly building up in her forehead. She had contractions before but never this bad.

She was teary-eyed when she finally opened them in temporary relief when the pain subsided.

"Just stay by my side."

Later, he was running the moment he came out of the car, demanding for a nurse to assist his pregnant wife when her water broke. Bong Hee didn't actually notice it immediately, she even had the nerve to joke when she saw the thick thread of water trickling down her thighs. "oops, my water broke." he almost had a heart attack when he saw the floor.

Having a pregnant wife wasn't really that enjoyable after all.
