Friends

First Love

Rocky hated seeing Sanha like this. Even though they've been friends for a short time, he felt close to the younger boy. This definitely hurt, but he couldn't possibly imagine what Sanha was feeling. Anguish, probably. Rocky was really willing to let Sanha and Eunwoo date, he would do that just for Sanha.

Yeah... Rocky likes Sanha. He would have said so, but he felt it wasn't right to confess to Sanha when he was crushing so hard on another guy. Now, it just wasn't the right mood, with Sanha crying and all. That bastard. Rocky was so close to beating Eunwoo's pretty face in, but he was more concerned about making sure Sanha was okay. He gently his hand on the younger boy's head to calm him down. Sanha's gasps and sobs filled Rocky's room, making its usual lively atmosphere appear gray and meloncholy. Poor Sanha.

Sanha knew it was a stupid idea from the start. Eunwoo's words echoed in his head over and over again, not making it easy for him to calm down.

"That's nice... But Sanha, you're really embarrassing me. How can I like you when you're like a younger brother to me? It would be disgusting to date you when that's the case."

His heart hurt so much he had to clutch his chest with one hand. How could Eunwoo say such things? It was bad enough other people heard him confess in the hallway, but he also got rejected so harshly. "Rocky, it hurts! It hurts right here... Rocky please make it stop!" Sanha was comfortably curled up on Rocky's bed, right next to his lap. It was hard to understand how this could have gone so wrong. The worst part about all this was that Eunwoo didn't want to talk to him. Then again, Sanha didn't want to talk to Eunwoo either. He was sad and angry all at once. There was no way his nice hyung could have said something so cruel.

"Sanha, try going to sleep, okay? I'll call your parents and get them to let you sleep over." Rocky didn't want to let Sanha go home and be alone like this. What a good childhood friend Eunwoo was. What kind of friend would completely humiliate you? Next time, he would definitely give that Eunwoo bastard a hard time. As Rocky got up to walk to the phone, he was stopped by a light tug on his shirt. At least it felt like a light tug to him, but Sanha felt like he was pulling harshly.

"This is your fault! You told me to confess to him, you said it would be okay! Liar! You did this!!" Sanha started throwing punches at Rocky. "I hate you!"

Ouch.

Those three words stung Rocky like nothing else. "Yah! How was I supposed to know he would be an ? At least you tried. He's just not into you, okay?!" He tried shaking Sanha out of his fit, but the boy kept trying to hit him.

"Hyung is not an ! It's just your fault for forcing me to do it. Everything was fine before I confessed to him..." Sanha sniffled and shut his eyes as more sobs escaped him.

Rocky just sighed and pulled Sanha into a tight hug. "You're in shock, Sanha. Just calm down." Thankfully, Sanha did eventually calm down, and eased into Rocky's embrace. "There you go.. Don't worry. He may have left you like that, but I'm your friend till the end, okay? I'm still here." He looked up at the ceiling, gently rubbing circles onto Sanha's back. The boy was sniffling and gasping for breath while calming down. His crying fit would soon be over. "No use crying over him. He doesn't deserve your tears."

Sanha nodded slowly before closing his eyes. Rocky really was his best friend if he could deal with this sort of thing from him. He was truly as affectionate as he was spontaneous.

At school the next day, Rocky found Sanha crying at his desk, surrounded by the other kids in the class laughing and talking. He couldn't quite make out what they were saying, but he could tell they were making fun of Sanha. Bullying Sanha. His (friend) Sanha. How dare they? Rocky pushed his way through the small crowd, throwing glares at whoever dared say anything else.

"Don't you have anything better to do?! Get away from him!" Rocky shooed them all away before sitting in his seat behind Sanha. "Sanha? What happened?"

Sanha was wiping his tears when he turned around to give a pained smile to his friend. Seeing that hurt Rocky. "It's okay, you don't have to worry." It was obvious that Sanha was not okay, so he didn't know why he even tried acting happy. "Just leave me be."

"Now what kind of friend would I be if I left you like that? Of course I'd worry. I'm your best friend, right?" Rocky patted Sanha's shoulder before the teacher walked in to start class. This was all he could do for now, but he'd ask for the details later. Rocky definitely wanted to know what those 's said to Sanha to make him cry like that.

But during class, he could hear whispering. People in the desks near his were talking about Eunwoo.

Eunwoo.

Hearing his name made Rocky's blood boil. But he continued to listen, hearing very... interesting things. Apparently, Eunwoo had confessed to someone else; a guy by the name 'Bin', a sophomore, was now Eunwoo's boyfriend. They were now the supposed 'popular gay couple' at school. As for Sanha... Rocky couldn't help but think of what awful things they could have told him.

At the toll of the bell, Rocky gathered his things and tapped on Sanha's shoulder, but the boy had simply gotten up and left with his head down. In the hallway, he could hear the words "loser" and "" be yelled out. What sacks of -

There was no time to deal with them. Rocky went running after Sanha, catching up to him outside of the school. He looked even worse than before.

Rocky decided to try and talk to Sanha. "Don't listen to them, okay? There's nothing wrong with being who you a-" He was cut off by some sobbing, and Sanha dropping to crouch.

"He rejected me because Bin is better than me." Sanha said softly into his arm. Poor kid did in fact hear the whispers as well. Even then, it was hard to believe Eunwoo said those words just because he liked someone else.

"You heard, huh? But no one could ever be better than you. Eunwoo just made a poor choice not to accept your confession." Rocky was sure that he himself would have accepted it in a heartbeat. If only he had beaten Eunwoo to being Sanha's crush... Then again, Sanha's love for Eunwoo ran for years, ever since they were a lot younger.

"I hate Eunwoo." Sanha sobbed out quietly just before Rocky knelt down to hug him.

Moonbin laughed with Eunwoo in the hallway, joking about stupid things. They had known each other for two years now, and they were each other's best friend. Just as Sanha and Rocky, they shared a special type of bond. But they were in no way dating. It was really just a rumor that they started for a specific reason.

Eunwoo didn't want Sanha to think he had a chance. Sure, he was harsh with his words, but Eunwoo would have hurt Sanha more if he accepted the confession and dated him with no romantic feelings for him. It would be too cruel. Honestly, Eunwoo thought he was sparing Sanha even more pain. He did care a lot about the younger boy, but just not in a romantic type of way. Another strategy to keep Sanha from hurting more was to make him believe he couldn't date him now. Eunwoo wants him to forget about him and find someone else to like.

The two older boys walked, joking around, until they fell silent and still at the sight of the two younger boys hugging on the ground outside the school.

"I feel really sorry for him. Couldn't you have just eased him into the rejection? He's just a kid." Bin looked worriedly from Sanha to Eunwoo.

He could have rejected him nicely, but that type of rejection just wasn't the type to make people forget about them. A nice rejection said "Try again another time." But to show absolutely no interest in the way he did would help. Eunwoo was a junior, and Sanha was a freshman after all.

"At least apologize to him!" Bin scolded.

Maybe he should. Eunwoo took a step forward, but paused when he saw Rocky look up. There was such a face of hate and disgust on his face, Eunwoo couldn't help but just stand there. In comparison, Eunwoo kept a pokerface as he walked away, Moonbin after him. Moonbin followed Eunwoo everywhere, but sometimes he couldn't deal with how dense and stupid Eunwoo was with some things.

Bin looked concerned at Sanha as they passed, but then turned to Eunwoo with a sad expression.

The next day, Sanha was alone after school, due to Rocky having some business to attend to with a teacher.

Sanha didn't want any trouble, so he kept to himself as he gathered his stuff so he could leave. but then three students approached him. They were sophomores, Sanha had talked to them once or twice before. "I-I don't want to cause any trouble... If I could just-" They cut him off. One of them actually had to look down at him. And knowing Sanha, he was a really tall kid as is.

"Hey, we don't want any trouble either. We just wanted to invite you to our little hangout party at my house today." One of them said. "Don't worry, we're not like the s who have been bothering you. Neither are the other people joining us. Only cool people will be there, and we think you're pretty ing rad."

Sanha smiled a little and nodded. A party like that sounded nice. He could meet new people and make more friends like this, so he agreed.

He went into one of their cars and went to their house. It was a really nice house.

Moonbin had been at his locker, listening to the conversation. He wasn't very interested in parties, so he wasn't going to join in. Neither did he recognize Sanha's voice. He had never heard the boy's voice before, so how was he supposed to know. It wasn't until he looked out and saw Sanha in the car that he started to panic.

He immediately called Eunwoo.

Ringing... ringing... more ringing... Damn voicemail!

Moonbin cursed and was about to dial again when he saw Rocky. He ran up to him, shaking him a little. Rocky only greeted him with a glare. "Yah, glare at me later! Sanha just got into a car with a group of people! They're taking him to a party. Listen, those are not good people! They will hurt Sanha."

Rocky was unsure of whether to trust Bin or not, but he couldn't take chances and not go. If Sanha really went, he had to be there. Rocky demanded to know the address, which Bin thankfully knew already. The person was an old acquaintance of Moonbin's, and he just happened to remember where he lived.

But Eunwoo was who knows where, doing who knows what, and not answering the damn phone!!

Moonbin was at least a bit releived knowing Rocky was on his way to Sanha. Of course, Rocky didn't have a car or anything...

Chapter 9: As tense as some of the events in this story got, I had a lot of fun reading it, everything came together perfectly and the cliffhangers kept me waiting for more. Not to mention how the story was wrapped up, I loved how it was done, everyone eventually found their way and it even got a little tense in the very end between Rocky and Sanha, but we know how that got resolved, thank you for such a good fic

Chapter 9: Praise Moonbin and all the other hyungs for being so stunned about Rocky's behavior! Argh. I hate drawing conclusions out of something and never asking. The ability for us to communicate is there for a reason people. Use it and don't be stupid. It's nice that they all got a happy ending though. And it was wonderful how much the older guys looked after/cared for Sanha. Just aww. Rocky sure lived under a rock here... Seriously, hadn't he even once heard about it? Ah well right, the whole school already thought they were together so it wouldn't spread anymore... Oh well. All is good now. Oooh an epilogue, I want the hyungs nagging at Rocky for getting Sanha sick (even if he was already sick before that) as they all spend Christmas at Sanha's to cheer up the sick boy, brightening his day.

Aiee. I accidently deleted my comment. Bad reader *smacks self* anyway this is one of my top favorite fics I can't wait for the next chapter. I hope Rocky realizes he was being to hasty with accusing poor innocent Sanha. T.T

Chapter 8: *facepalms* and here everyone thought Rocky would be the wise one to ask. Sanha was going to tell him right then and there why he was late but he cut him off! Seriously, he knows Sanha is an innocent sweetie pie but he still dares to accuse him of cheating, like?? Maybe he has some past experience with someone cheating on him so he has zero tolerance but.... Like... D: keep this up and everyone in the world will hurt Sanha and his innocence will be completely ruined. Like the harassment wasn't enough.... And if Rocky isn't there to protect him... Then what about the bullies? All Sanha wanted to do was to confess in the first place, then he got rejected and lost a friend for a moment, then he got picked on, then harassed, then he finally got happy a bit and all he wanted was to help his friends to be happy and now he's hit with this? Dear god.

Chapter 7: Now I just feel like they're all stupid lol. I mean, great, Sanha planned something for all of them to get their feelings cleared but the unnecessary crying fest wasn't the best way. But, uhh, yay for MJ and JinJin. And I think Moonbin either went after Eunwoo or Eunwoo is sitting/standing outside his house, trying, for once, to be the man and get stuff done by having a heart to heart talk with Moonbin. He did try that already but he still didn't have the answers. Maybe now he does. This reminds me of the quote that says even if your mind doesn't know the answer, your heart does and maybe the pain he felt finally made him realize how he feels. But I swear I'll hit my head on the table if it's Moonbin that goes after him first. Like, no! Don't give in for someone as stupid as Eunwoo before he knows what he wants from you. I mean, he pretty much said it himself. These people tho... What a big plan and lots of hurt. The lunch scene was cute though and I awwed at the part where Moonbin awkwardly joined the two

Chapter 7: Awwww that was a cute way to end it after the intensity that the whole Moonbin and Eunwoo event put into place, but now that Mj and JinJin are resolved, how about Eunwoo and Moonbin?
