Chaeyoung and Mina were having lunch together. Chaeyoung just finished his work and he went to pick up Mina from her house so they could grab a lunch together. They were having their lunch at the 

Chili's Restaurant. 

 

"Chae” Mina called 

 

"Hmm?" Chaeyoung was munching on his burger 

 

"Must you work? I mean it's the holiday and people usually get to take a break from working" said Mina while poking on her salad 

 

"I was away about a couple of weeks because of the accident. I need to work now so I can replace the day offs I took. I don't wanna do it later, I wanna finish everything now" 

 

"But it's almost New Year and there'll be celebrations going on" Mina put down her fork 

 

"I know Mina ya. But I didn't neglect you for my work right? Look I'm here having lunch with you" 

Chaeyoung smiled 

 

"Yeah. Maybe you're right. But I kinda miss you when you go to work" Mina look back her fork and continue poking her salad 

 

"Hey. Whenever you miss me, remember I'll always be in here" Chaeyoung touched her chest where her heart is located. 

 

Mina blushed. 

 

"You can be so cheeky sometimes. By the way, let go of your hand now people might think different"  

 

Chaeyoung looked around and saw some people staring at them. They were looking at where Chaeyoung's hand was touching. They thought Chaeyoung was ert or something. 

 

He cleared his throat and continued eating. Mina chuckled. 

 

Suddenly he remembered the question Sana asked Mina a few days ago when they were taking care of the sick Sana. 

 

"Umm, babe" 

 

"Yeah?" Mina looked at him 

 

"I need to ask you something so answer me honestly alright?" 

 

"Yeah sure" she smiled 

 

"What if.." 

 

"Yes?" 

 

"What if I was like Tzuyu? What if what happened to Tzuyu, happens to me? What will you do?" he asked 

 

Mina was speechless. She just looked at him. Mina looked at Chaeyoung who was eager to know the answer. 

 

"Chae.." she said softly 

 

"I overheard your conversation with Sana that day" 

 

"No, what happened to Tzuyu will not happen to you" 

 

"But what if Mina? Please tell me what will you do" Chaeyoung held her hands 

 

"Please stop asking me. I don't like your question" Mina started to have tears in her eyes 

 

He looked at her. He decided to stop asking. Chaeyoung didn't want to see her crying. But somehow, he was unsatisfied of Mina's reaction. He felt upset. 

 

"Forget it. Bill please" he turned around and all called one of the waiters

  They were now in the car. Mina was afraid to speak to Chaeyoung who seemed to be mad about earlier. Mina did not like the question Sana and Chaeyoung asked her. It pressurized her. Her mind was confused to her own answer.    "Chaeyoung.." Mina called him softly    His eyes were fixed on the road. He somehow didn't want to reply but at the same time he felt that he shouldn't act that way.    Mina had her head down after not hearing anything from Chaeyoung. What she didn't notice was he was driving somewhere else instead of driving her back to her house. Soon, they arrived at a familiar lake.  It was the lake where they usually take a walk together or for a date.    He made sure that no one was around at that area.    Chaeyoung stopped the car and stepped out. He slammed the door hard. Mina was startled.    "All I need is just an answer Mina! That's all!" He walked to the side of the lake and shoved his hands into his pockets.    Mina sighed. She slowly stepped out of the car and closed the door silently.    "I'm sorry Chae.." she said while holding her hands together. She stood like an innocent child beside the car.    "Sorry is just a word Mina. Why can't you just answer that question?" Chaeyoung had his back showing to her while crossing his arms.    "Why are you suddenly asking me this?" Mina's eyes were teary    "Because I was curios why you did not answer Sana that day! You were stuttering and it made me much more curious if you would feel the same way that Sana feel to Tzuyu"    Suddenly Mina ran towards him. She let her arms wrap around his abdomen. Chaeyoung felt the arms around him was hugging him tight. Very tight. Then he heard Mina was sobbing.    "I'm afraid that I would lose you. I would hate it if it happens to you. I don't want to say harsh things towards you but I think my emotions will play with me. I can see that only news and pictures can play in Sana's mind. So I'm afraid it will happen to me too. I don't want to lose you because I love you so much Chae" she cried.    Her tears were wetting Chaeyoung's coat. He turned around and cupped her face.    "Then why didn't you tell me earlier?" he wiped away her tears using his thumb    "I was afraid you would be upset and hate me" she cried again    "No no I won't hate you. I would maybe be upset but I won't leave you. How can I leave you if I couldn't stand a day without you?" he stared into her eyes       "Chae.. tell me that you love me" she whispered       He smiled, " I love you Mina. I love you so so much"      He kissed her forehead then her tears. Then he kissed her lips. After that he let go of the kiss.  Suddenly, Chaeyoung kneeled down on his knee. He looked straight into her eyes from the bottom.     "I have something else very important to ask you" he took her hands and held to both of it    Mina somehow knew what he was doing. She slowly smiled.    "Since the day I met you-"    "Chirp chirp chirp" a bird was chirping by the tree beside them.    Chaeyoung looked at the bird and cleared his throat    "Since the day I met you-"    "Chirp chirp chirp" the bird cut his words again    "Since" Chaeyoung stopped and looked back at the bird to see if it was trying to cut his words again. Looks like it wasn't so he continued    "Since the day I met you-"    "Chirp chirp chirp"    "YAH! CAN'T YOU SEE I'M TRY
