CHAPTER THIRTEEN

“H-how did you even f-“

“I was assigned with my own Moirai”

“And that is?”

They were talking about the Moirai and the Seraph they saved when Jiyong entered the room, carrying two paper bags with their breakfast. His eyes darted to the man standing beside her bed, brows furrowed in wonder.

“Is everything okay?” he asked Dr. Lee

“Everything is okay, no need to worry over something”

He left the door open, waiting for the doctor to come out but he just stood there and started a staring contest with him

“Seems like the sky is a little bit happy right now” Dr. Lee said amusedly, looking at her making her blush hard

“Do you still need something else?” Jiyong said impatiently, eyes narrowing seeing the two exchanged private joke that only them can understand. How can he even comment about the Sky when the blind is ing close? So they’re already close just like that? It takes one operation and they’ll act as long time friends?? Or they know each other even before?

“I’ll see you in a bit” Soohyun said directly to Dara, smiling lightly yet his eyes was teasing and she nodded in return, eyes narrowing at him. It was like talking in secret

“What for? another check up?” Jiyong intervened, not liking the closeness of the two. He’s irritated to say the least

But Soohyuk didn’t answer him. He went out of the room offering him an unfriendly nod before exiting the room.

“Do you know each other?” Jiyong asked, glaring at her

She just grinned at him before pointing at the bag he was holding.

“I’m hungry” she chuckled, seeing him narrowing his eyes at her

“Answer me first” he annoyingly said, but was fixing the plates and utensils already

“I’ve missed you” she whispered shyly, his heart skip a bit but he’s determined to know the relationship between her and the doctor

“Chèr” that did it, he missed her calling him that. The warmth seeped through his chest, making him finally feel at ease.

She’s back. She’s safe. And she’s with me.

 “You don’t fight fair” he grumbled as he sat beside her, he scooped a bit of mashed potato and fed her

“I’m already healed, I can eat by myself” she shyly protested, shades of pink finally appeared in her pale face

“No”

“Chèr! And the plate is overflowing with food! I can’t finish that!” she whined

“We’re sharing it Chèrie. Pabo” he pinched her nose and she automatically scrunched her nose. God I really missed her.

“Then eat up too. You’re making me uncomfortable with your stares”

“Is that so?” he grinned evilly before leaning closer, only few inches separating them

“Eat” she squeaked as he moves closer

“You need it more”

“You need it too”

“You need it the most”

“You look horrible and looks about to pass out so you need it more than me”

“I need you the most” he whispered hoarsely, squeezing out the words to come out of him “I almost lost you” he placed the plate at the side table before pulling her to his lap, his face buried at the crook of her neck. “I was so scared. I don’t know why I’m feeling this. It’s the first time I’m feeling this and I don’t want to feel it again. It is the first time that something scared me of losing”

“But I’m alive and well, you can say I’m safe already” she run her hands to his head down to his back soothingly, he breathed deeply as he moved closer, tightening his hold on her.

“Does it still hurt?” he lightly kissed her wounds

“You look like the one who’s hurting more” she jokingly said

“I am” he honestly answered that caught her off guard

“Hush my baby I’m already fine” she tries to lighten up the atmosphere, not liking the heaviness that surrounds them

“Call me that again” he whispered

“Baby?”

“Again”

“Baby” she felt him sighed hard as he pulls her closer to him, if that was possible. She was about to pull out when she felt something wet dropped from her neck, and he was shaking lightly. He’s crying.

“Jiyong”

“Just a minute, ani, 10 minutes please” she felt him kissed her neck before burying his face again. “I’ve missed you, I’ve missed you so much”

Youngbae, Daesung and Seungri closed the door quietly, all of them have that stupid grin on their face as they sat on the sofa placed across Dara’s room.

“Should we welcome the human Jiyong?” Seungri enthusiastically said

“I didn’t know he’s that clingy”

“He wasn’t clingy to start with. Only Dara does that to him”

“But if we confront him and he’ll say that it’s only a joke I don’t think I can keep calm and not hurl him across the room” Youngbae shook his head, knowing Jiyong’s nature

“I’ll help you spank him hyung” Seungri offered

“Why would he even call it a joke? The way he clings on her doesn’t look funny at all”

“Exactly. And they don’t look like joking in the first place”

“And why are we gossiping like at the corridor?” Youngbae sighed “Come on let’s disturb those two clown love birds”

The moment they entered, Jiyong was finish eating, feeding the last food to Dara who’s already grumbling because of fullness.

“See? It wasn’t that hard” he murmured, tapping her nose making her glare playfully at him

“Noona!” Seungri sat at the other side of her bed. “How are you?”

“Now that you’re here I’m good as new” she beamed at Seungri making the latter blush

“What the f-food” Jiyong groaned, cursing loudly inside his head. He seriously wanted to sleep but it was impossible if the three gaytards are here.

“I want to sleep” said Jiyong who was glaring at the three who’s busy talking to Dara. “I SAID I WANT TO SLEEP”

“Hyung there’s the sofa over there. We’ll take care of Noona while you’re sleeping” Seungri said, glancing at him before focusing on her again.

“WE NEED TO SLEEP. AND YOU THREE NEED TO GO OUT.”

“But noona said she’s not sleepy yet!” Seungri whined making Dara giggle

“BUT YOUR NOONA NEEDS TO SLEEP WITH YOUR HYUNG YOU Y-“his eyes widen as her eyes narrows at him “IT’S NOT A CUSS” he vehemently denied

“I won’t sleep. I spent weeks sleeping” she stubbornly said, crossing her arms and pouting childishly making the three chuckle with her cuteness

Surrendering to the tiredness and sleepiness he’s enduring for weeks, he walked back to Dara’s bed, occupying the space he slept in few hours ago.

“Don’t leave then. Guard your beloved noona” he sulkily said as he lay beside her, his arms draping possessively in her waist pulling her closer. His face buried at the back of her neck, while his legs are tangled with hers.

“Such a show off” Youngbae groaned in fake disgust

“You don’t want to get out, and I don’t give a-“ he stopped when he felt her hand intertwined with his

“Sleep” she murmured as her other free hand taps his arms lightly, luring him into sleep. He can still hear her soft voice talking to his brothers, it makes him more sleepy. Pulling her closer, he kissed the back of her neck and whispered “Sleep with me baby” she hummed in approval and squeezed his hand in answer. He was listening to them until he slowly succumbs to tiredness and slept peacefully.

She woke up first and saw Jiyong sleeping peacefully beside her, his hands wrapped protectively around her while his legs are still tangled with her. Making sure she won’t go anywhere, even when sleeping, he still protects her. She went to the bathroom to pee and fix herself up a little, and as she exits the en suite, Soohyuk went inside the room and ask her to come with him to the garden to talk.

“Is there something going on between you two?” Eros, ani, Lee Soohyuk looked at her with curiosity

 “No, why?”

“You fully well know that it’s a sin falling in love with your Moirai right?”

“But I’m not”

“Well from the looks of it, you are, you both are.” Soohyuk looked at her with brows furrowed.

“Are you questioning me Eros?” she was somewhat annoyed, never did he questioned her, she was used to him being gentle and he always follow her.

“I’m sorry Sky” he bowed his head, looking guilty and somewhat in trance

“What’s happening to you?”

“I don’t know. I’m sorry. My mind is messed up” Eros looked up and she saw confusion

“Fien” she looked around and true to her intuition, the Prince of Eternal Fit was standing few meters away from them. “He’s messing up with your emotions”

Soohyuk was about to go after Fien when Dara stopped him. “We’re not fighting here.” She said with authority “I’m still feeling weak, I want to rest” he guided her back to her room, while updating her with some of the happenings in Promise Land while she was away.

“Sera says she misses you a lot. She managed to train the Cherubs excellently. The princess is fit for a Queen too”

“I miss her, and my King and Queen, and also Bada” she sighed dreamily

“Don’t you miss me?”

“Of course I miss you silly, the only difference now is I get to see you more often.”

“My Moirai is making me crazy, she’s a blabbermouth.”

“We don’t get to deal with the same people Eros, we all have different missions and obstacles.”

“I’m fervently hoping that you’ll pass yours without much difficulty” Soohyuk looked at her seriously, as if delivering something through his eyes.

“I’ll pass this without breaking a sweat” she said confidently

“Says the one who got her mortal body messed up” He grumbled, while pushing her wheelchair inside the room.

They were greeted by an angry dragon sitting eerily calm at the bed, arms crossed and eyes are throwing invisible daggers to Soohyuk.

“I didn’t know doctors offer personal errands too.” His voice dripping with sarcasm

“Well the Sky is beautiful right now, I can’t resist” she know that Soohyuk’s trying to piss Jiyong off, and he doesn’t need to exert extra effort to push him further.
