Hyerin was humming the song that she was listening to as she made her way to her early morning class. Just a few weeks ago Daniel woke her up in the morning and walked her to the subway station, but it felt like it happened ages ago. She did everything herself that day and she even dropped-by to have breakfast with Daniel’s parents who told her that Daniel was still in his room, asleep. Usually Hyerin would get up from the breakfast table and bother Daniel but after he asked her to go away the day before she just sat there and politely nod.

She took out one earpiece from her ear and listened to the bustling crowd around her. Girls were laughing with their friends, birds were chirping in the trees and yet there she was feeling so alone. A notification rang through her phone and she lifted her phone up to see who had texted. The notification window on her locked screen flashed from Jaehwan. “Look behind” and with that Hyerin turned around, smiling. Jaehwan was walking towards her and to her surprise, so was an ecstatic looking Hyunah.

“Look who I met at the entrance!” Hyunah said once Hyerin was face-to-face. Jaehwan smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck.
