Jiyeon's POV

I don't know if I'm doing the right thing to ask Eunjung to work on a house design for me, at first she thought I was kidding but when she realized that I was serious, she was taken back by a surprise for a reason why I wanted a house. I'm quite surprised at my new thought too, it's still a long way to go and I may get too excited just from the beginning, but that's me, I can't stop until I get whatever I want, especially the one I want, this person.

I discuss with Eunjung to have her to design a house model for me , I start planning about a life that it's not only for one person , but a place for two people to be living in, and Eunjung doesn't seem happy about it, she thinks I'm getting too far to plan on it when I'm just dating someone

" Jiyeon, can I say something as a friend?"

" Sure"

" I think it's too soon for you to put too much thought on this" Eunjung seems hesitant

" I know " I say, " But I know what I'm doing"

" Are you sure you know what you're doing? It's not like you to plan so many steps ahead, especially in relationship" Eunjung carefully looks at me , she is right somehow, I've not taken relationship seriously for a long time, I didn't think I've ever been in love after that one.

" You're right it's not like me to do so, that's why I'm positive I know what I'm doing because I've never been so sure like this before" I tell her

" It's that new feeling when you fall in love " Eunjung looks uncomfortable, " it may change at some point" she adds

" It could, but I know this would last" I argue, believing in my instinct " This person brings me back hope, she's different"

" And I honestly think it's too soon for you to believe you know her" Eunjung has that tone which I believe she still has that feeling left for Hyomin.

" Yeah, you're not wrong to think so, it's true I haven't known her long enough to learn much about her" I agree, " And to be honest with you, I don't think she has that much feeling for me, not as half as much I have for her"

" Jiyeon" Eunjung seems to feel bad for me

" But you know what, it won't keep me from feeling what I feel for her" I insist

" You're falling hard Jiyeon" Eunjung's face is filled with concern

" I fall for her every time I see her" I confess

" She may not be one of those people you think you can finally take a hold of" Eunjung warns

" I'm aware of that" I smile , which makes Eunjung frown harder

" I sometimes can even see the dull light in her eyes, she's scared to get hurt that she might not even wanna try " I honestly tell Eunjung

I didn't miss to see the guilt in Eunjung's eyes, she is not good at hiding it , I didn't mean to bring up their scarred painful past but it's not wrong of me, if I need my future I have to do this , I don't want it as a shadow of my relationship . I take Eunjung's silence as her permission for me to continue.

" I don't really care who she loved in the past, or what past that might have left her a deep scar, and like I said, she's different , she makes me forget how it feels like to be sad when I'm with her , so I'll prove to her that she made a right decision to begin again with me " I say everything from the bottom of my heart .

" I just worry that you'll get hurt" Eunjung sighs

" Thank you , but that is the least I could care , I need happiness and I would not regret if one day it didn't turn out the way I wanted it , but right now I'm in love and I'm happy , I can worry about the rest later"

Eunjung keeps silent for a moment before she speaks again, " I wish I was as brave as you" , I look at Eunjung , my best friend and my sister-in-law to be

"Do you regret losing her?" I wait for this to come , and a question seems to send a shock wave to Eunjung , she is stoned for seconds .

" You know?" Eunjung is clearly shocked hearing such a question, her eyes are wide open

" Yes" I reply simply

" How did you know, did she tell you?" Eunjung is totally lost in surprise

" No, she didn't " I shake my head , " I accidentally found out" I hand her a polaroid photo I kept it for a while, Eunjung looks at it with her pale face.

" You haven't answered me if you regret losing her?" I ask again, Eunjung bites her lip, and I know it's not easy for her to answer me

"Yes, yes I do " Eunjung answers , her voice is a mixture of sadness , sorrow and pain

" Do you still have a feeling for her?" I decide to ask, Eunjung is dumbfounded, I know she didn't see it coming.

" We've been friends for so long and you know me Eunjung , whatever I fancy , I'll always remember it and won't stop until I get it " I frankly tell her, " And when it comes to love, I'll fight for it without being afraid to lose " I can see that Eunjung doesn't blink as she listens

" Just forget about house design I asked you a favor to work on it for me if you don't feel comfortable, we are still friends" I smile, " But if you still have a feeling for her, please back off, she's now with me and I'll do anything to make her happy "

This is the most mature and open talk I've ever had with Eunjung all these years since we've been friends

Tiffany's eyebrows knit, she spent a whole day to read articles and researches on reliable sources, the more she read about them, it only confuses her more, not that it's hard to understand but they all confirmed her knowledge and medical facts about paralysis and damaged nerves which define a loss of feeling. Tiffany looks back.

Flashback

" Are you tired?" Tiffany asked as she saw Jessica moved her head back and forth as if she wanted to shake off her tiredness after long hour of reading

" A bit, reading makes my back hurt" Jessica complained

" You always sit upright when reading" Tiffany said, " How about being more relaxed"

" I was taught to sit this way, most appropriate way of reading " Jessica didn't like it when people pointed out something that she believed it was a right way to do

" You may be right, but some parts of your muscles don't function the same" Tiffany reasoned with her theories

" I don't want to argue with you anymore" Jessica brushed it off, Tiffany only smiled at the stubborn woman.

" This will help" Tiffany walked behind Jessica

" What are you doing?" Jessica frowned

" Relax" Tiffany instructed, Jessica felt stiff as Tiffany put her hand over Jessica's shoulder and began to massage, but it wasn't too long until Jessica felt relaxed ,

" Better?" Tiffany's voice brought Jessica back

" Mm" Jessica, " Thank you" , Jessica moved her shoulder up and down to shake off an embarrassment for having enjoyed Tiffany's massage

Tiffany stopped as Jessica got better , she seemed more relaxed . Tiffany had an idea , she then walked in front of Jessica and stared down at Jessica's feet

" What?" Jessica asked , Tiffany didn't answer , she lowered herself and squatted in front of Jessica , then she slowly massaged on Jessica's ankle which Jessica didn't expect it .

" You ... you don't have to do that" Jessica stuttered, it became awkward

" I just wanna know if it could help" Tiffany looked up

" Help what?" Jessica become uncomfortable

" It's so stiff" Tiffany mentioned about Jessica's ankle's joint as she touched and pressed on it

" No use" Jessica dismissed Tiffany's intention

" Maybe we could try?" Tiffany suggested

" No, thanks" Jessica denied , Tiffany sighed

" Alright" Tiffany gave up , she looked up to find Jessica's face distorted

" What's wrong?" Tiffany asked worried

" Nothing" Jessica didn't sound convinced

" Are you feeling pain?" Tiffany figured it out, but Jessica kept shaking her head.

Tiffany knew better as a nurse , she checked on Jessica's ankle where she touched it earlier to find that the muscle around her foot got contracted , she quickly massage Jessica's foot .

" It's just a leg cramp , no worry" Tiffany said as she kept massaging Jessica's foot

" Thanks" Jessica bit her lower lip

" You're welcome , just let me know next time when you feel it" Tiffany smiled and Jessica just nodded

Tiffany didn't think so much about it then until it hit her later that Jessica's legs have been paralyzed and they lost sensory nerve, but why Jessica felt pain.

" Can you feel a cramp?" Tiffany can't get a question out of her head

"I'm not going to sign any more document today, just put them off until tomorrow unless it's important" Hyomin tells her secretary, and her secretary knows better than to disturb her boss as she doesn't seem to be in a good mood today , which it's quite rare to happen.

"Yes, president nim" Secretary Kim courteously makes her way out, holding her breath

And as soon as Hyomin is alone, she sighs and leans her back on her chair, she doesn't understand why she feels so bothered today and everything looks annoying to her, even smallest thing like signing document which it shouldn't be a problem for her . In fact, she should be grateful that today she can work in peace when a person who always distracts her doesn't show up today, it's maybe a fact that Jiyeon was supposed to come for meeting re: a project site visit plan this morning but she gets the last-minute notice from her secretary that Jiyeon couldn't make it and asked to postpone the meeting to tomorrow . It could be part of it that the cancellation effects Hyomin's work that makes her not so happy, but deep down, Hyomin knows it by heart that it's not a real reason.

Thinking about it again, Hyomin hasn't received any form of communication from Jiyeon beforehand and until now. Although Hyomin hates to admit it, but a notification on her phone which she assigns especially for Jiyeon's message, has become her favorite sound lately, it brings her smile when she receives new message alert even though she doesn't even look at it. But it's not today because she hasn't received any. Hyomin contemplates whether to ask Jiyeon what it's going on but then she holds it off.

" Secretary Kim, can you please find out for me why Park Jiyeon cancelled a meeting" Hyomin gets her assistant to work on it for her and she knows Ms. Kim can do anything, and she never disappoints Hyomin, shortly after she comes back to Hyomin with full information.

" Thank you for information" Hyomin thanks to Ms. Kim

" You're welcome, would you like me to send flower on your behalf or anything? Ms. Kim asks

" No, it's fine" Hyomin dismisses the idea

" Understood" Ms. Kim said before taking her leave again

Hyomin once again contemplates whether to call and ask Jiyeon how she feels , but she doesn't want to make it obvious that she worries about her , she convinces herself that Jiyeon would only have a slight fever , or probably just a headache , and nothing is serious to worry about .

" Get out of my head Jiyeon" Hyomin complains, frustrated.

Hyomin clicks her high heel against the floor as she is waiting, hiding her nervousness, she can't give herself an answer why she made it here, in front of a door of Jiyeon's condominium. She successfully talked a security guy to believe her and let her in without an issue , Hyomin startles a bit when she hears the door open

" Hey" Hyomin greets sheepishly as the door opens revealing a confused Jiyeon

" Oh hey" Jiyeon can't believe it's Hyomin though
