Vampires amongst human in the mid-1800s were not rare but yet not often seen. Humans knew for the fact that there are vampires among them, swiftly walking under the bright afternoon sun, eating and drinking right beside them. Nobody had any clue who the vampires were amongst the human and they had no issue living together as long as each’s life were not risked,

Peace only lasted the day after the Prince Baek, found an injured human-like figure in the forest during his irregular hunting trip. “Human? No! It’s got blood-shot red eyes, with tar-liked black blood flowing from its wound? Would it be?” Before he could continue his thoughts,

“Help me, please, sir. I have been injured by a wild boar that came charging at me while I was on a mis.. ermm,  searching for food for my master. Please help me”. Hoping that the above standing did not hear his almost slip, the injured pleads,not realizing all Baek could hear and think about were the stories told by his grandpa.

“Vampire? Could it really be? Could this be the day I have been waiting for… The day I have been waiting for has finally come” Baek thought. Baek had always been fascinated by the way his ancestors killed the vampires while the war before time had happened.

Recalling the tale that had been passed down from centuries ago, the story his grandparents had always read to him as his bed time story before he eventually passed, where only the blessed (the royal) are given the special power to kill a vampire with the blessed royal weapon. However, none in the palace; including the current King, believed in the fluff he said, thinking that the passed King had been brain washed by his own grandparents with stories and tales that nobody in this life had experienced or witness.

With hunting and killing as his nature, blood and excitement as his running, Baek decided to try out what his grandpa had told.
