They were half through their meal when Woohyun’s phone rang.

“Yes, Joonhyuk.” And the mention of his assistant name made Sunggyu alert. Woohyun dropped his chopsticks and got up. “Ok. We’ll be there immediately.” He said and ended the call. “They found the witness. Let’s go.”

They dressed up fast, forgetting all about awkwardness and didn't even notice they were in front of each other. Given another time Sunggyu would have been embarrassed.

In 5 minutes they were already in front of Woohyun's apartment building running towards the car. Just when they were in the car could Sunggyu finally catch his breath. Sunggyu wasn't really the athletic type. The only sport he practiced was running after criminals but this didn't happen too often because he would oftenly now rather make them confess in the interogation room. He did this more when he was still at the narcotics department.

He looked at Woohyun. He didn't seem to have much trouble after the run they did from his apartment to the car. But again, he looked like the athletic type. Sunggyu have seen a hint of it when Woohyun would wear tight t-shirts.

"" Sunggyu flinched at Woohyun's sudden swear. "The traffic is so freaking slow! We should be there when he finishes his classes. I swear we would have arrived faster by foot." Woohyun continued. Sunggyu could see Woohyun became nervous as he started to move his foot up and down unconsciously. Then it finally hit Sunggyu.

"I have an idea." He got Woohyun's attention as he turned to face him.

"I'll run to the school. You can come with the car. The school is not so far. If I hurry I'll be there on time."

"Will you be ok? You didn't seem like the runner earlier." Woohyun said a little amused now. Sunggyu made an annoyed face. So he noticed. Sunggyu didn't know he paid attention to him. He thought it went unnoticed.

"I can handle a little run if that means we solve this case, you know." Sunggyu said with a superior tone and already opened the car door without waiting for a reply from Woohyun.

He started running diligently towards the school. Woohyun continued to look at him throught the car window with an amused look on his face. Who would have thought that detective he saw on the first day as a gangster more than anything, could be this cute. This day really changed his perception of Sunggyu. He wasn't so mad he came to help him anymore. He was a good partner. Woohyun was brought out of his thoughts by the other cars horns. He had to move. He laughed at himself for his thoughts. He was in a hurry, a big case on his shoulders but he was thinking how cute a guy was, not even a girl. Something must be really wrong with him.

10 minutes of running and Sunggyu was in front of the school. He felt like dying. So out of breath. He still had some time to calm down. The school yard was still quiet, which meant they didn't finish classes yet. He got out his phone. Woohyun sent him a picture of the kid so he could recognize him. It was better thaj asling every kid if he was Lee Sungjong or knew any Lee Sungjong.

After 5 more minutes kid started to appear. One-two at first. The one's that were in a hurry. But then started to appear groups of 3-4 walking slower, joking and laughing. He was looking everywhere for the kid, when he finally saw him. He was with some kids laughing. His expression changed to a confused one when he saw someone blocking his way. His friends looked weirdly at him.

"Do you know him?" a girl asked

"He looks kind of scary" some girl whispered to the girl from before.

"Who are you? Do you know me?" The kiddo finally asked trying to look confident. It was probably in an attempt to impress the girls, Sunggyu could see behind his fake confidence.

"I need to talk with you."He looked around at his friends. He thought about the witness protection code. "Alone."

"Why would I go with you, ahjusshi? I don't know you. You got the wrong person to mess with. My dad is an important person." He said confidently raising his head closer to Sunggyu. Sunggyu tried to surpass his laugh. The kid wasn't scary at all. If he was anything, he was definitely funny. Sunggyu smiled warmly to him.

"It's not really your choice. But don't worry. I won't do anything to you." he said putting his arm over Sungjong's shoulders. The kid moved his arm away.

"Don't wait for me. I'll see you tomorrow" Sungjong said to his friends.

"Are you really going with him?" some boy asked.

"It's ok." Sungjong said with a smile. Sunggyu was surprised he actually came. Sunggyu could have made things easier and present himself as a police detective but the kid already ran from police once and he could do it again. He wanted to make him talk not to scare him.

After Sungjong waved goodbye to his friends, he looked at Sunggyu.

"So what now?"

"Want something to eat? We can-"

"
