The next day, Gui Gui didn’t hang out with Mei Mei and Ya tou because she wanted to be alone. Aaron overheard from Mei Mei and Ya tou.

“I wounder if Gui Gui is alright” said Mei Mei, worried.

“Let’s hope she is” said Ya tou.

“How can her mum abandon her again?” asked Mei Mei.

“She’s gone far away” replied Ya tou.

Aaron went looking for Gui Gui after what he heard. He found Gui Gui walking along the classrooms, sadly.

“Gui Gui!” shouted Aaron.

Gui Gui quickly wipe her tears off.

“Hi” said Gui Gui, trying to smile.

“Were you crying?” asked Aaron, seeing Gui Gui’s red eyes.

“No, my eyes were itchy” said Gui Gui.

“Oh, okay” said Aaron, faking it.

“Let’s eat lunch” said Gui Gui when she was about to turn
around, Aaron grabbed her hand and embraced her.

“I know everything, take this as a favour that I owned you when Hebe left, cry it all out” said Aaron.

“Thank you” said Gui Gui, who cried harder.

“Gui Gui!” shouted Ya tou and saw Aaron and Gui Gui hugging.

Gui Gui breaked the hug and wiped her tears.

“Ya tou” said Gui Gui.

Aaron turned to see Ya tou.

“You guys were…” paued Ya tou, smiling.

“Ya tou, not that way, he was kust comforting me” said Gui Gui.

“Yah, don’t think wrong” clarified Aaron.

“Sure…” said Ya tou, still smiling.

“I treat him as a brother” said Gui Gui.

“I only treat her as a sister” said Aaron.

“You guys don’t have to make it so clear” said Ya tou.

“It is good to clear things up” said Gui Gui.

It has been a week already, sometimes Aaron hang out with Gui Gui’s group. The whole school went to assembly, Gui Gui was only sitting few seats away from Aaron.

“Everyone, please stand” said the principal.

Everyone stood up.

“Today is a special day” said the principal. “Having a
student back”.

Everyone started mumbling except Aaron and Gui Gui.

“Let’s welcome back Hebe” said the principal, as Hebe
walks onto the stage.

Aaron eyes widen and Gui Gui was also very shocked. Gui
Gui turned to look at Aaron, to see his reaction.

“Hello everyone, I am back” said Hebe, she was looking at Aaron.

Classroom:

“Long time no see, how’s life?” asked Hebe.

Aaron stared at her for awhile. “Of course, I’ve been good, so good that I can’t describe it.

Hebe was expecting another answer, she kept quiet.

“Why did you come back?” asked Aaron coldly.

“I came back because…” paused Hebe, she walks closer to Aaron and hugged him. “I miss you, please say you miss me too”.

Aaron stood still for a moment and breaked the hug.

“I miss you too…” paused Aaron. Hebe smiling.

“As a friend” continued Aaron.
Hebe’s smile faded away. Aaron left the room, leaving Hebe there.

Gui Gui was holding the rail while looking down the balcony.

“What are you doing?” asked Aaron.
Gui Gui jumped because she got scared.

“Have you ever heard knock on the door before coming in?” asked Gui Gui.

“There’s no door” said Aaron.

Gui Gui looks around and realise she is not in a classroom.

“Oh right” said Gui Gui, embarrassed.

“What are you thinking about? you’re so into it” asked Aaron.

“Nothing” said Gui Gui.

“Unless you are thinking about me: chuckled Aaron.

“Why would I think of you?” said Gui Gui, blushing.

“Then why is your face so red?” asked Aaron, leaning closer.

Gui Gui’s face got redder, Aaron was about an inch away from her. Gui Gui closed her eyes, Aaron started laughing then Gui Gui opened her eyes, all embarrassed.

“Hahas, did you think I will kiss you?” asked Aaron, laughing.

“No, I was just tired” replied Gui Gui. “So how’s Hebe?”

“I don’t know, don’t care” said Aaron.

“As if” mumbled Gui Gui, looking down.

“You always change the topic, I have something to give you” said Aaron.

Gui Gui was about to look up when Aaron lifted her chin up and kissed her cheek. Gui Gui was shocked and pushed Aaron away.

“Yah! What do you think you are doing? You want to die?” shouted Gui Gui who was still trying to calm down.

“Calm down, it is just a friendly peck on the cheeks” said Aaron.

“Aaron Yan, you are dead” shouted Gui Gui and started chasing Aaron around.

Aaron and Gui Gui was running arounf a table. Gui Gui was on one side and Aaron on the other.

“If you are a man, stop running” said Gui Gui and found an apple.

She threw it at Aaron and Aaroun caught it.

“Thanks, I was hungry” said Aaron and bit the apple.

“Yah!” shouted Gui Gui and started chasing again.

They ran around for like 20 mins and felt really dizzy.

They both gave up and started fighting instead.
