Despite the dark corridors, the faint light coming from the candles are enough to see the looks coming from the palace workers as Prince Kyujong and Princess ______ passed by. The latter can only look down in shame.
She have heard it from these servants firsthand anyway, that rumor. Now she even can't call it a rumor anymore when she knew herself that nothing about that spreading information is a speculation; it's true. Eyes fighting those tears, hands holding each other under her long flowing hanbok sleeves, she felt helpless from all of these. She never wanted this kind of life at the first place, but there's nothing she can do at the moment but wallow herself in embarrassment.
Meanwhile the anger within Prince Kyujong can't be contained that even his aura exudes it. Unknown to his wife, all the palace maids they passed by right now are flinching on her husband's gaze. As the saying goes 'If gaze could kill, they would've been killed for ten times'. He can't accept the fact that this lovely woman walking beside him feels so small just because of their servants. He can never forget himself for being so reckless letting her feel so bad about herself.

"I'm sorry too, and I want you to also know, that I am aware as to why you left the palace." The princess surprisingly looked at her husband, mouth gaped.
"I told you things won't work the way you want it to be, your highness. Regardless if you married me out of duty. I'm a nobody and I can't even adhere to my newly vested duty as your wife." She tries to avoid the look she knows her husband is giving her.
