Jaehwan just couldn't help but feel jealous when he found out that Sanghyuk's mate was Wonsik. He'd had a crush on Sanghyuk for ages and been by his side for just as long, yet fate felt that Wonsik was a better fit for Sanghyuk's mate? How? Wonsik had ignored Sanghyuk, had stood by and watched as people bullied him, and had bought into the lie that the sibling's father was a good man even though he had been around to see the bruises that man had left on both of his children.

Watching the pair took some of the sting out of it. They really did work well together, each bringing out the good in the other the way no one else ever could. Yet Jaehwan still couldn't help but feel a bit bitter about the whole thing. No matter how good Wonsik was to Sanghyuk now, it didn't undo all the times Sanghyuk had come home from school and locked himself in his room so he could cry about how he was treated at school without anyone seeing. It didn't change the fact that it was always Jaehwan who entered Sanghyuk's room through the window and comforted him.

In time, Jaehwan was sure that his feelings for Sanghyuk would fade, taking his jealousy with it. But for now, he was angry and bitter and jealous.
