A/N: hey, please forgive my ty story but don't forget to comment. 

The Roller Derby Team’s outing. The most awaited night of the year for member, Jung Eunbi. The school principal had promised to lend them the van used for transportation and let them sleep-over at the GYM if they managed to win regionals, and they did.

 The outing had been proposed by vice-captain, Jung Yerin as a way to both bade farewell and thank Team Captain, Kim So Jung (known to everyone as “Sowon”) for everything she’s done for the team as well as congratulate her on her graduation. Each and every member had put their greatest effort to make this happen and now, a few days preceding the upcoming graduation, their hard work had finally paid off. 

  “Eunha-yah” A pair of hands shook her from side to side, waking her up from her day-dream. She groaned loudly. She knew she shouldn’t have let her sit next to her on the back of the van, but how could she deny her offer? She didn't want to seem rude or anything but the girl had just interrupted her internal monologue. 

    “What do you need, Yerin?” Eunha answered after taking a very deep breath, trying her best to remain calm.

    “Your love and attention, of course” The older girl said with an evil gleam in her eye. Her grin was wide as she batted her eyelashes cutely. This had no effect at all for Eunha simply pushed the —already too close— Vice Captain of the RD team away.

    “Ugh, don’t be gross!” She managed to cry out loud.

    “I’m not even gone yet and you’re already bullying your underclassmen, Yerin-ah, you make me doubt whether it is actually safe for me to leave” Sowon’s voice could be heard from the driver’s seat.

   “Eunha’s not even my underclassman, I can bully her all I want! and don’t you worry, So Jung-ah, everything will be just fine,” Yerin assured but it only made everyone else in the car feel just as doubtful. 

    “ah…” A voice in the middle row echoed mockingly and the two people besides the owner of the voice cringed.

 There was a long awkward silence until another person in the middle row spoke.

    “How long ‘till we get there, Unnie?” the other first year asked, trying hard to ease the tension her fellow first year had created.

     “Not long. Why? are you hungry already, Umji-yah?” Sowon teased.

      “How did you find out about this place anyway, Unnie?” The second tallest member of the team —and Eunha’s fellow second-year— asked and after that, the conversation once again flowed with ease.

“This place is so pretty, Unnie, I’m surprised!” First year —and fellow Eunbi— cried.

   “Was that some kind of shade?” Sowon scoffed and SinB twirled her hair innocently.

   “Not at all, unnie” she pursed her lips “In what way would this be considered shade?”

Sowon didn’t answer but Eunha knew SinB was really testing the eldest patience.

They were in a park, a few miles behind their school which was pretty much untouched so the scenery was quite the sight. In Eunha’s opinion, it looked more like a forest than an actual park. She helped Sowon extend the blanket and everyone sat down on top of it and started taking out what they had brought for the picnic. 

    “Yuju-unnie and I prepared sandwiches for all of you” Umji said in a sweet tone as she handed them out.

   “I brought bubbles!” Yerin added enthusiastically and Eunha couldn’t help but chuckle.

   “You like blowing bubbles, don’t you, Eunha-yah?” Yerin asked the laughing girl who just flicked her in the forehead as a response.

    “OW!” Yerin cried, which made Eunha laugh harder. “and I bought these with my own money because you had mentioned liking them a few weeks ago”

  Eunha’s laughter stopped and she looked at the older girl who handed her a blue bubble stick with a genuine eye smile.

   “That’s actually… really sweet, Yerin” Eunha’s heart skipped a beat as she took it from the other girl’s hands. Yerin was staring so intently, she couldn’t help but feel self-conscious.“Thanks”

Eunha tried to not let the girl who was staring at her distract her from her —she admitted— guilty pleasure, but, after more than a minute, Eunha could still feel Yerin’s gaze and she swore that if she could melt into a puddle, she would have at the moment Yerin made her realize she had payed attention to her when she talked, even though, Eunha had always felt as if talking to a wall this whole time. Eunha’s biggest problem when talking to Yerin had never been whether she’d listen to Eunha or not, she couldn’t care less, at least not anymore. What was really occupying Eunha's mind when they talked was a little voice in her head begging her to ignore her loudly beating heart every time Yerin looked her way and that hopefully Yerin never realized it was because of her.
