Chapter 9

      A/N: Seulgi is currently 13. I tried to protray her character more like her age. Im sorry if i failed as an author but i promise to do justice for her character! I have big plans for her in the future. I did mention that i write in advance so currently i'm already 6 chapters ahead beacause im writing on my phone (so i can review) I thought of a Seulgi Pov but im still a newbie and i know im not good at writing, it would be hard for me to give you guys the idea that im trying to show with my words (EXCUSES!) Im sorry for disappointing you guys but i did also promise i'll improve in the future.      ___ "Honey, wake up."   "Five more min, Mom."   Suzy giggled when her daughter wiped the drool off her face still half asleep.    "Hyunnie~" Suzy cood near Irene's ears, hugging her daughter tightly.    "Eomma, five more... Mom?" Irene suddenly opened her eyes. She tackled the woman beside her with a hug.    "Hyunnie missed me?" Suzy said, still cradling Irene in her arms.    Irene could only nod in her mother's embrace and hugged her like they've been apart for 2 years when infact it's just 2 days.    Suzy pulled out from the hug and kissed Irene on her forhead.    "Join us for breakfast okay? Oh and uh..." Suzy pulled out something from her bag. "Seulgi had something for you. She said she wanted to give this to you for all the birthday's she missed."   Irene's ears wiggled in excitement when she heard the name. Irene was handed a small purple velvety box.    "Join us later okay." Suzy said already at the door.    "Yes mom." Irene said without taking her eyes away from the velvet box. She can't stop herself from smiling when she saw a piece of paper stuck under the box. She pulled out the paper and read the it's contents immediately after realising it was a letter.     ' Dear Hyunnie,           Im sorry if this is the only thing I can give you. You should recieve more! I missed like a ton of your birthdays. Even though you can't come for mine, you always send me gifts. Not just for my birthdays! It might sound as an excuse but I did't send you gifts because I was saving money so I can give you something special. You're probably laughing now so I'm sorry for being too cheesy. I hope you like it!'   Irene finished the letter but she was not laughing like what Seulgi had thought. She felt her eyes sting and she know's she's close to crying.    Irene opened the box and saw a slick silver ring. She took it out and a tear trickled down her cheek and more followed when she read what was inscribed.    Ddeulgi's    She was overwhelmed, she was overjoyed, she feels she's on top of thw world, and she feels... angry.    She's angry at Seulgi for thinking this way.    She doesn't need gifts. The mere attention from Seulgi is enough. More than enough.    Irene smiled after she put the ring on which surprisingly fitted perfectly.    ___   "Good morning, Hyunnie. What took you so long? Your breakast is turning cold." Seunghyeon greeteed cheerfully.    "'Morning dad. I just...uhmm..." Irene wasn't sure what to say. 'I was busy bawling my eyes out' was too embarrassing to say.    "Did you wash your face dear?" Suzy asked with a mischevious smile.    "...Yeah? Why?" Irene was confused at the sudden question.    "We're just making sure you wiped you tears properly." Seunghyun jeered.    Joohyun blushed madly at this which made her parents laugh out loud.    "You knew?"   "We saw the whole thing dear."   "Eomma! Appa!" Irene whined to her parents, swaying her shoulders cutely.    "We're sorry hyunnie but we know how much you missed Seulgi. We just want to see our daughter happy. I can't even remember the last time you cried because of happiness with us!" Seughyeon teased.    "It's not that Dad..." Irene felt nervous as she thought her father was serious. She was assured when Suzy said, "Your father's kidding Hyun."    ___   "Hyun." Seunghyeon called to her daughter who was sitting adjacent to him.    "Yeah dad?"    "The board has talked about it already and you will be graduating alongside with your team and with the other señors in two weeks."   "Already?!"    Irene already knew she'll graduate from training and become a full fledged agent but she didn't expect it to be this soon. The fact that she'll graduate with her training señors, that trained longer than her, was shocking.    "Dad, are you sure?" Irene asked, doubting her skills if she was deserving of such honor.    "You're better than me at my training days! It's only right that you'll graduate early. The board already agreed to this."   "..."    "Don't worry Hyun. It will be a big honor because for the first time, the president himself will be the one to promote you guys! I envy you kids."   "Mwo?!"   ___   "Don't you like it unnie?" Seulgi asked worriedly.    "Don't change topics! This must have cost a lot!" Irene scolded the younger girl, arms crossed cutely across her chest.    "I just thought... you'll like it." Seulgi mumbled the words. Her head was hung low and she played with her fingers afraid of looking at Irene.    Irene's heart softened at the sight of the sulking girl.    "Seulgi, I love it. I really do. It's just that you should save money."   "How about you then? You send me lots and lots of gifts." Seulgi childishly retorted.    "That's because Im paid by the agency. Im earning money now and you're not. Just because you're stinking rich, doesn't mean you can spend your parent's money like that." Irene answered back trying to assert dominance as an unnie.    "...I just want to give you something."    "It's okay Seulgi. You can always send me presents but Be responsible while spending money."    "I just want to buy couple items for us. Promise! This will be the last time!" Seulgi held her palm out and crossed her heart.    "Couple items?"    "Yes! I also bought one for me. Look! I also put an inscription in it just like yours." Seulgi took her ring out and proudly showed Irene what was inscripted.    Hyunnie's    Irene's eyes widen when she read the inscription. She blushed madly at the thought of Seulgi being the first one to share her first couple item with.    "...Stupid." Irene talking to no one exactly, head hung low as she was trying to hide her cherry like face.    "unnie?"   "Where did you learn how to flirt huh?" Irene asked suddenly feeling bitter.    "What's flirting unnie?" Seulgi asked innocently.    "Nevermind. But why did you choose to inscribe those?" Irene reffered to the inscriptions.    "Ddeulgi's and Hyunnie's?" Joohyun nodded.    "Because you're mine and Im yours!" lrene's mouh fell agape.    Irene was happy. She was swept of her feet. Badly. She was speechless. Seulgi realised what she said and sensed the awkward atmosphere and was speehless after. It was dead awkward.    "Seulgi I brought you- oh. Sorry." The girl almost dropped the cup of hot chocolate realising Seulgi is currently talking to someone.    Irene lifted her head at the unfamiliar voice.    "Seungwan-ah! Come. I'll introduce you to Joohyunnie." Seulgi gestured the girl to sit beside her.    'Seungwan. So it's her.' Irene thought.    "Hyunnie, this is Seungwan. Wannie, This is Joohyun-unnie."    "Hi Unnie. You can call me Wendy." Wendy put the mugs down and waves at the camera.    "Hello, Just call me Hyunnie." Irene gave wendy a genuine smile. Irene felt guilty getting jealous in the first place after seeing how sweet Wendy is.    "Seulgi has been talking about you all the time." Wendy smiled brightly looking at Seulgi who was looking flustered.    "Reeeeaaally? What did you tell her Seeeuuulgi?" Irene narrowed her eyes at Seulgi. "It's not nice talking about someone behind their backs you know."    "It's not what you think unnie! Wannie help me please." Seulgi pleaded.    "Don't worry unnie. She just told me how pretty you are, how she missed you so bad, how badly she wants to hug you because you're cuddly, the way you-"   "Wannie! I can't anymore. I'll comeback after you're done embarrassing me." Seulgi left, leaving the two girl's who were laughing hard at her as she was covering her flushed face with a pillow.    "Creep." Irene wiped a tear at the corner of her eye.    "I always thought she was just exaggerating everytime she brags how pretty you are but I understand her now." Wendy sa
