Chapter 18

  Minho POV   I heard faint sounds of people talking. My surrounding feels warm and I know I'm on a bed right now. Where am I?I then remembered about my encounter with Henry. I almost stood up but stopped myself. Stay calm Minho.    I slowly opened my eyes to peek. I'm in a room. A big room. Everything is white. I closed my eyes again when I heard someone talking again. They're inside. "I'll just smoke outside. Stay here and gaurd. You better keep an eye on him, rookie." The bulk guy exits the room leaving the skinny guy with a very high caliber gun. Idiots.    I just noticed my left hand was cuffed but my right hand and my legs are free. Who on earth would leave an elite agent with this lame attempt to atleast keep me restrained? It's just me and the skinny guy in the room.    The boy walks nearer, probably to the couch beside me. Come closer. Just a little bit. And...   "Ummph!" He drops to the floor with a faint thud.    One hard kick to the crotch was more than enough. I feel guilty though. The poor guy didn't even have the strength to scream. I immediately grabbed his gun with my feet just in case. The room was intended for prisoners. No windows. Just one bathroom. Atleast there are no cameras inside.    After a moment of struggle, I managed to get the keys out of the guy's pocket. After releasing myself, I removed the guy's vest and put it on me for protection.    "How's it going in there rookie?" It was the guy's radio. I answered it for him. "He's still unconscious." A slight pause before he talked back. "Ooookay... I'll be there in moment. Just stay put." I chuckled. How gullible.    I waited for his arrival at the side of the door. I stayed at the side where I'll be hidden when the door is opened. After a minute or two, three knocks announced his arrival. I gripped my rifle tighter with my index near the trigger.    "Kid, you there? Hey! Screw you." The door opened and he entered with incoherent curses. When he noticed the unconscious body on the side of the bed, he pulled out a pistol and aimed at the bed. He pulled the sheets and revealed a stack of pillows. I closed the door which got his attention.    "Put the gun down or I'll blow your head off." He stood still. " you. You're not going away-" "I'm not saying it again." With a very reluctant look on his face, he slowly put his gun down on the floor. "Kick it to me." He complied. I picked it up and cocked it multiple times so all bullets dropped to the ground. I removed the gun's magazine to be sure. I expertly dismantled the pistol, parts after parts. Now I feel safe. Maybe not yet.    "Put your radio down and kick it to me." I aimed the rifle back at him again. "What's the poi-" "You sure like to make me repeat myself." He again complied with my request. I stomped the radio when it reached my side.    "Get the cuffs. Cuff your hand to his feet." He chuckled. "You must be kidding." I just glared at him. After visibly gulping, he got the cuffs and did what was told. If my life wasn't on the line, I would've laughed at how awkward their positions are in the moment.    "What do you want?" I locked the door to avoid unwanted company. "I'm afraid I'm in no position to answer your question." He nonchalantly leans his back on the couch. "I can kill you anytime I want you know?" He shrugged he's shoulders.    "Tell me Kang," He started. "did you honestly think killing me would make a difference?" I stayed mum. "How naive of you." I unconsciously furrowed my brows. "Kill me but it won't change the fact that we're winning this war now that you're here." What war? Then it hit me. "What's the red cloud planning?!" He started laughing hard.    The radio that I stompped earlier started beeping. So he was stalling time. Damn it. With one last disgusted look, I stormed out of the room.
