~Blind~

Summary: There are things that Minhyuk has been completely blind about but he never expected one of them to be Hyungwon.

Pairing: HyungHyuk (Hyungwon X Minhyuk)

            Through the years that they've known each other Minhyuk has seen Hyungwon break down a grand total of only one time in their long friendship, which the both of them fixed by getting horribly faced and hung over enough to forget why either of them were crying for anymore. Minhyuk could confidently say that he knew Hyungwon like he knew the back of his hand. Hyungwon wasn't easy to read and was never expressive but Minhyuk always knew how to be there for him when it counted most and in return he gained a permanent spot in Hyungwon's heart. Hyungwon was someone he could always count on, rain or shine, Hyungwon became his rock too.

            Which was why his suspicions were peeked when his phone rang and he saw that it was a text from Hyungwon that read:

            'I love you.'

            Alarm bells should have been ringing in Minhyuk's head but it was late and they were adults. This was Hyungwon he was texting; rational, calm, and carefully meticulous Hyungwon who doesn't do anything remotely insane unless Minhyuk himself was involved in the equation. So, Minhyuk simply smiled to himself and figures everything is as fine as always because who doesn't like an occasional drink to unwind at the end of the stressful week.

            'How drunk r u rn? Do u need a lift from the bar or something? :P No fair, you should have told me so we could have gone together D,:'

            'I'm not drunk, stupid. I'm at home.'

            Minhyuk raises a questionable brow at the quick response that's written with perfect grammar, which means Hyungwon was definitely not drunk. Which also means something was definitely wrong.

            'But u just texted me something weird af while sober???????'

            'Txting I love you to my best friend while sober is weird af?'

            'If one of us was a girl, I'd say yes, but since we're both dudes and this is u we're talking about it's definitely… still Y E S'

            'U do realize that u say I love you to my face all the time right?'

            'Yeah but that's me. I'm in touch with my emotional side. :'D We've established that you're a zombie that's only in touch with their sleep :P'

            'Lmao'

            The corner of Minhyuk's lip twitches upwards even though he can't see Hyungwon laugh, at least he got some indication that the latter was entertained by the conversation. But there was a nagging feeling Minhyuk couldn't shake off, it was like a radar he had set for Hyungwon only and the readings on it were definitely all over the place. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

            'Srsly though, anything up? Although if ur confessing to me that's cool too u know lol ^3^ <3 We can try a date tmrw~ ;D'

            'LMFAO as if. Like I'd confess over txt msg. Nothing's up. Just felt like it, I guess.'

            Minhyuk frowns and quickly types his reply.

            'Ur being rly weird… And by rly weird I mean rly ing out of this world type weird…'

            'I'm just tired'

            'Then u needa get ur into bed like now cuz I think ur hallucinating or something o.O'

            'Alright. Goodnight.'

            'I love you'

            Minhyuk's fingers hesitate to text back a response after he reads Hyungwon's last message. He definitely can't shake off the feeling that something is terribly wrong.

            'I love you too'

            With his final message sent, Minhyuk abandons his comfortable bed immediately and grabs his jacket and keys before heading out the door. He's heading to Hyungwon's place. He wants to wipe any doubt from his mind and to make sure that Hyungwon was as perfectly fine as he keeps telling him.

            When Minhyuk gets to the apartment complex twenty minutes later, he doesn't bother to knock or ring the doorbell, he uses his spare key and let's himself in.

            Everything is wrong.

            Everything he sees is so wrong.

            There's recently emptied soju bottles on Hyungwon's coffee table which was without a doubt consumed after Hyungwon stopped texting him. The entire apartment itself was a complete mess; papers strewn across surfaces, pillows and blankets were on the ground, everything appeared heavily disorganized.

            The worst of it all is that Hyungwon is no where in sight.

            Minhyuk immediately heads straight for the bedroom where he hopes with every fiber of his being that Hyungwon really was knocked out under the sheets. He slams the door to Hyungwon's bedroom open, his heart is beating exceedingly fast before it just drops completely because Hyungwon isn't in bed e
