Interlude: Tea Break
It's Game On
“What’s with the long face?”
“…”
“Hey, are you listening?”
“Oh! Um, sorry, I was spacing out a little. You were saying?”
“You look troubled.”
“I’m good, thanks.”
“Seriously.”
“Is it really that obvious?”
“Yeah, it is.”
A groan.
“Is everything okay?”
A sigh.
“Yeah, it’s… fine.”
“Okay really, what’s up?”
“Nothing much…”
“Are you sure you don’t want to talk about it? I’m all ears, you know?”
“…”
“Or are you planning to sulk all day like this? Because if you are, I should remind you that you’re probably going to get wrinkles from it and—“
“Yeah, okay fine. I’ll spill, just stop.”
“I’m listening.”
Another sigh.
“It’s just that I’ve been reassessing the risks of the game we’ve been playing lately and I’m… -a deep inhale- I’m worried.”
A pause.
“… It is a huge gamble alright.”
“Yeah, I know and I—“
“But I believe that so long as it’s you, it’s going to be okay.”
A reassuring smile.
“After all, if it’s game, I’ve never seen you lost one before.”
“Yeah…”
