Like an illusion
NOTHING LIKE USJungkook waited for the doctor to comeback with whoever brought him in the hospital.
He still hopes that Taehyung would appear, but not too much. He didn’t want to face the pain of disappointment once more, he’s dealing with enough pain right now, and he couldn’t handle any more if it escalated.
He wanted to be strong, even if he’s not and only pretending.
Just as he was pondering, the doctor came back and what he saw was what he predicted. Typical, it’s Jimin, as he was the one who had always checked up on him all this while, not Taehyung.
A pang on Jungkook’s chest risen, guess not seeing Taehyung hurts more.
He underestimated himself again.
“Hey buddy, how are you feeling?” Jimin approached his best friend.
Jungkook peered at Jimin, he looks puffy from crying. Jungkook felt guilty and wants to answer back but he remembered that couldn’t.
Jungkook looked at the doctor seeking for help.
The doctor smiled seeming to understand. “Mr. Park, ask Mr. Jeon yes or no questions as he will answer with his eyes. One blink for yes and two blinks for no.”
“Oh, thank you.” Jimin smiled thanking the doctor.
“No problem. I’ll leave you two for a while, I’ll go back to my station. Just call me if you need anything.”
Jimin bowed as the doctor left turning his attention back to Jungkook once again.
“Kookie, you made us all worried we seriously thought that you were going to die. I almost had a heart attack.” Jimin held Jungkook’s pale hand.
“And you know, Taehyung almost went out of his mind earlier, shouting at the staff here in hospital, he went ballistic I tell you.” Jimin chuckled, but not quite jolly as he still felt worried for his best friend.
Jungkook looked at him weird, frowning as his eyes widened.
‘Taehyung?! He’s really here?!’
Jungkook’s reaction went unnoticed by Jimin, as he sensed the distress of his friend.
“He’s here Kookie, Taehyung is here.” Jimin answered Jungkook’s distressed thoughts.
