When Youngjae awoke the following morning he was filled with determination, today was the day he would send that email. So with a smile twitching at the corner of his lips, he reluctantly left his warm bed and sat down in his computer chair, opening the draft he had saved last night. He looked over it once more to make sure there weren’t any grammatical errors and took a deep breath, slowly moving the mouse to hover over the ‘send’ button.

“Here goes nothing..” He muttered to himself as he clicked and watches as his email sent. He let out the breath he had been holding and slumped back into his chair. Well, there was no going back now. Youngjae just hoped he had made the right call.

Eventually he got up from his chair and made his way into the kitchen to start cooking breakfast. Eggs seemed like a quick fix and so Youngjae took a few from the carton in the fridge and grabbed a pan. setting the eggs on the counter and the pan on the stove. He pulled out a bit of butter and the stove, spreading the butter around the pan when it was hot enough to melt it. Once everything was ready he picked up his first egg and cracked in on the side of the pan. He did the same with the other and smiled at his luck for not getting any egg shells in his food.

After everything was cooked and Youngjae had settled himself onto his couch, he felt his phone buzz. He pulled it out from his pocket out of curiosity,  and after seeing it was a reply from Daehyun he nearly dropped his plate of eggs. He let out a short curse and managed to catch it in time, putting the plate on the table for the time being as he turned his attention back to his phone. His fingers hovered anxiously over the ‘reply’ button as he quickly read the contents of the email, tapping it when he had read everything nearly three times to make sure he wasn’t seeing things.

Daehyun had agreed to having a collaboration. And now it was up to Youngjae to choose when and where. Needless to say, he was practically having a heart attack. First of all, who in their right mind would be awake this early in the day other than himself, and secondly, he had no idea if he should suggest his place or ask if they could film at Daehyun’s. It seemed too imposing to ask if he could come to the other’s house, though if they recorded it at his house he’d definitely have to do some cleaning. Youngjae chewed at his lip nervously, struggling to make the decision. He set his phone down and decided to think it over for a while, picking up his plate and turning his attention back to the movie.

Once he finished with his meal, Youngjae got up from the couch and made his way into the kitchen, putting his plate and fork in the dishwasher as well as cleaning up what was left from when he had cooked. Not having decided on exactly how he wanted to reply to the email yet, Youngjae decided he might as well shower and get ready for the day. He did have to stop by the store later, and perhaps he would drop by Yongguk’s studio to say hello.

After he’d finished getting ready and had given himself a good once over in the mirror, decided he looked alright, Youngjae grabbed everything he would need and headed out. He locked the door behind him and getting into the driver’s side of his car. He started up the engine and off he was, deciding to get his groceries first and then head to Yongguk’s studio. He didn’t need to buy any perishable from the store so he would be alright leaving everything in the car for awhile.

When he pulled into the parking lot of his local grocery store he couldn’t help but groan, knowing he was going to have difficulty finding a parking spot. About ten or so minutes later, Youngjae found a decent spot, and exited the car, making sure to lock it before heading into the store.

He took out his phone, grabbing a cart and pulling up the grocery list. He didn’t need much, but Youngjae was running out of enough food at home for this trip to have been necessary. He sighed as he began the trek through the aisles, grabbing the things he needed and perhaps a few things he didn’t. Once everything was gathered in the cart and checked off the list, Youngjae made his way to the register and paid for everything, taking his bags out to the car and loading them into the trunk. After everything was situated he got into the driver’s seat and started the car, pulling out of the parking lot and heading in the direction of Yongguk’s studio.

About ten minutes later, Youngjae pulled up to the building and exited the car, turning it off and locking the doors before heading over to the door. He made his way inside and down the familiar halls until he reached the studio he was looking for, and he wondered if he should knock or simply invite himself inside. Deciding to be courteous, Youngjae gave a short knock on the door and awaited the older male, smile tugging it’s way onto his lips as he bounced excitedly on his heels.

“Youngjae?” Came a deep voice, Yongguk’s face a mix of excitement and confusion as he opened the door. “What are you doing here?”

“Surprise!~ I was out for the day and I decided to stop by and explain why I hung up on you so fast.” He gave a nervous chuckle, smile still on his lips. “You’re not too busy are you? I guess I should have probably called ahead.”

“It’s alright, I was just working on some lyrics, come on in.” Yongguk stepped aside to invite the younger inside. Youngjae nodded and entered the small studio space, taking a seat in a chair next to the desk where he could see various papers scattered about.

“You don’t keep a very clean workspace do you?” He joked, picking up the first paper he saw and skimming over the words that were scribbled onto the page.

The heavy weight carried on two shoulders

“How is it so far?” Yongguk asked, sitting down is his desk chair and looking at Youngjae curiously. He hadn’t showed it to anyone yet and this was the first opinion, other than his own, that he was going to receive on it. Needless to day, he couldn’t help but be a bit nervous.

“It’s amazing!” He said, setting the paper back down on the desk and looking up to the one who had produced such beautiful lyrics. “Your fans will love this, how do you do it? Everything you write is so great but you never run out of ideas or inspiration or anything. That’s true talent right there.” Youngjae smiled warmly to the rapper, and after a bit more chatter of Yongguk’s career the topic of conversation moved on to Daehyun, and the news that Youngjae had stopped by to deliver in the first place.
