Epilogue
The Fault In Our Fate==
It was ringing, then it was quiet.
Too quiet for his liking.
The sky is not that blue anymore, as what his eyes can make out of his blurry sight. His body feels numb. Too numb. It’s like he doesn’t have limbs. It’s like he’s just an intangible existence.
But his head can still feel, and he turns at his side, trying to understand what kind of environment he is in. Yet when his gaze lands on his right side, he sees Sehun. Laying next to him, staring right into his eyes. A small smile blooms on his thin lips.
He closes his eyes, and when he open them again, he sees a young boy, bony limbs and pale white skin. Same soft, warm look in his eyes. Young Sehun is staring back at him with a smile as well.
“Hyung,” the kid says, “I never wished you a happy birthday.”
He suddenly feels pain. All over his body. But not physical pain – it’s like all his being is dissolving into foams until nothing will be left of him because no, I can’t end like this – we can’t end like this –
“Happy birthday,” Young Sehun smiles wider, “to us.”
Luhan cries. He sobs loudly, his entire body is shaking. He blinks, only to find grown up Sehun again, still staring at him. “Sehun,” he calls soundlessly, and he thinks about how he would never have the chance to tell Sehun face-to-face that he –
“Sehun,”
“Sehun,”
“Sehun,”
He feels warmth seeping
