Jamie entered her classroom to find Jongkook already seated. Jungkook was attempting to keep busy by reading his book, he didn’t dare glance up at the girl marching her way towards him.

               Before Jamie even sat down, she reached over and tapped his back to get his attention.

               “Jungkook-ah? Can I talk to you?” she asked softly, earning glares from her classmates.

               Jungkook sheepishly nodded in his seat, he lifted his head and turned towards her.

               Jamie looked at him and said to him,

               “About this morning, what you asked me… they are-“ she was cut off by the entrance of the homeroom teacher.

               “Quiet down everyone, take your seats and get your books out. Turn to page two hundred and seventy three.”

               Jungkook turned back around and Jamie reluctantly followed the teacher’s instructions. She was itching to tell Jungkook the truth but had to wait until the next break now. She tried to keep her composure but Jamie was becoming too self-conscious as time went on. She felt worse and worse.

               She drabbled with the edge of her desk, tracing each corner with her fingers. She couldn’t help but question what JungKook must have thought of her. After he had been so nice to her and introduced her to his friends- she felt she had finally started to fit in. But now he was giving her the cold shoulder. As time passed, the more ill and discomfort she felt. Her stomach tightened and she felt guilty although, truthfully, she had nothing to be ashamed of. It was all just a misunderstanding. It wasn’t just Jungkook making her feel this way, but her other classmates. They all must think terrible things about me. Jamie shifted anxiously in her seat under the watchful eyes of her judgmental classmates until she finally mustered up some courage to leave. She stood up and approached the teacher who was sitting at his desk.

            “Excuse me, I’m not feeling so well… can I go to the nurse’s office?” she nervously asked, her teacher gave her a nod of approval allowing her to be dismissed. She headed to her seat to grab her backpack before turning away.

            As she headed into the school infirmary, she heard laughter coming from within.

            Taehyung was sitting down in the nurse’s office, snacking on some of the candies meant for guests. He was conversing with Nurse Choi in casual speech about her plans for the weekend when a small knock interrupted and a timid girl approached.
