Alex's POV

It's been a week and a half a Momo is avoiding me like the plague. I really want to talk to her and explain everything to her but I can't since she won't let me talk to her about anything other than work related stuff. On top of the Momo situation Eunjung is mad at me now too. Well she was already mad at me for 2 weeks straight now. I ended up having to talk to her little sister to relay messages to Eunjung since she's not taking my calls or texts. I sighed thinking about all the that's happening in my life and I all I could do was sigh again. why me!

I was currently backstage at Twice's concert in Japan listening to them sing looking bubbly and happy. It almost made me forget about my troubles. Now it as time for the Momo, Sana, Chaeyoung and Nayeon to dance to Yonce by Beyonce.

About halfway through the show they had a talking segment, half came back stage to change while the other half stayed. Chaeyoung, Momo, Jihyo and Tzuyu came backstage to change and re hydrate.

"Unnie, I'm so hyped up tired but really energized. Is tat weird?" Chaeyoung spoke quickly.

I chuckled at her words and shook my head. "It's really good. Y'all are doing amazing. Unnie and I we're talking about taking you girl's out to eat after the concert," I smiled at the fact that the girls eyes immediately lit up including Momo who was avoiding looking at me.

They changed, took a quick restroom break and drank some water before returning back to the stage with all smiles. Then came the next set of members came backstage and did the same routine.

"She still ignoring you?" Mina asked as she sipped her water.

"Yeah, I just want to talk but no dice," I looked at the monitor and saw Momo talking.

"She'll come around hopefully cause to be honest I've never seen this side of Momo. She looks upset and hurt when she's around you especially," Nayeon explained sipping water too.

Over the past week or so I've become really close to Nayeon and Mina. We talk about our stress and occasionally drink inside my apartment. We even made a group chat to talk to each other when we're not together. I have one with the maknaes too since they found out and insisted that we have one. It's kind of cute especially the names that they told me to save them as in my phone. I sent them back out smiling and giving them a thumbs up. They changed a few more times during the rest of the concert. They sang "One In A Million" as their ending song to close out the concert.

They came backstage and the crew clapped for them and gave them high fives.

"You girls did amazing so Alex and I decided to take you out to eat before taking you back to the hotel," Sadness unnie announced making Twice scream with excitement.

We sent them to go change as we helped pack everything up and prepared the van to go.

"Yay food!" Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung exclaimed as we all piled into the van.

I feel full and happy. I think I might of over ate a bit but it's okay, I'll burn it off later. I took a quick shower and changed into shorts and a t-shirt. I glanced at my phone and saw the blinking red light on my screen. I picked up my phone unlocking it seeing that my group chat with the maknaes was blowing up. I guess since I wasn't answering they were calling me too since I also have 6 missed calls. Aren't they tired by now? They should be resting. Then and incoming call from Mina came in.

"Hello," I answered.

"So you answer Mina unnie's call but not ours?! Alex unnie your mean~" I heard the youngsters whine.

"I just got out of the shower and just saw all your texts and calls," I stifled a laugh.

They're so cute.

"Alex unnie please come to my room cause the young ones desperately want some Alex time," I heard Nayeon in the background.

"Okay, I'm on my way" I said before hanging up.

I was now on the 4th floor of the hotel a few doors down from my destination when something dawned on me. Aren't Nayeon, Mina and Momo sharing a room. . I already told them I'll come so it's too late to back out now. I finally reached their room and knocked. After 2 seconds the door opened revealing Momo who was dressed in pink silky looking pajamas. She seemed shocked but that was immediately replaced with a blank expression as she held the door open. I awkwardly stepped inside and was greeted with a baby cub, tofu and Yoda pouncing on me pulling me over to Nayeon and Mina. We sat and talked for awhile and played a few games. Things were going well besides the fact that Momo avoiding talking with me as much as she could. I looked at the time on my phone and decided we should all head to bed for their activities in the morning.

I wonder how in the world do I keep getting into these awkward situations. Here I am sitting in the hotels cafe with Momo waiting on the rest of Twice to come down. Sadness unnie and a few other managers left to go help set up the venue for their last concert day in Japan. We sat in silence as I sipped on my coffee and she ate her omelet.

"Momo," I said trying to get her attention.

"Yes Alex unnie?" she asked not looking at me.

"Can we just be on speaking terms atleast? The silence is killing me," I spoke looking at her.

"We are manager unnie," she quipped back.

"Really Momo are you serious right now," I sighed.

"This is what you wanted so you can't get mad at me for this,"

I sighed shaking my head. "You ignoring me wasn't even in the cards. You choose this option all on your own."

"Fine be a child about this but you can't say later that I didn't try to talk to you. You want it to be completely professional then you'll get just that Momo-ssi. I'm going to go check on the others," I stood up leaving her with Sana who just came into the cafe.

Momo's POV

I let out the air that I didn't even know I was holding in. I watched as Alex walked out of the cafe clearly mad. So what if she's mad she dashed all over my feelings.

"You okay?" Sana asked sitting down with her breakfast.

"I'm fine," I answered looking at her.

"Momo your my best friend so I can tell when there's something off about you. Spill," Sana urged.

She stared me down until I finally gave in and explained everything that's been going on.

"This makes so much sense now. The longing looks that you two give when the other isn't looking. Now the sudden cold aura around the two of you," Sana nodded like she just solved the hardest puzzle.

I finished up my food thinking about if I was really being to cold to her.

"I never thought I'd see the day that Alex unnie would get pissed off though. Why didn't you just hear her out though?" she questioned.

"Cause I'm really hurt. I confessed, we kissed and then she tells me that it can never happen again. Would you hear someone out who broke you like that," I stated feeling agitated about everything all over again.

"I think you reacted to quickly because you were so hurt at the time but I would at least want to hear the reason why," her voice was smooth and filled with wisdom.

Soon after the rest of the members sat down with their plates. We sat and talked as we ate excited and sad that it was our last concert day in Japan. My parents are coming tonight and I'm so excited. I watched Alex get up from the table to answer her phone stepping out into the hallway. I watched her eyebrows knit together and pace back and fourth obviously arguing with someone. I watched all her little movements like when she pinches the bridge of her nose or bites on her bottom lip with her thinking face. Just because I'm not talking to her doesn't mean I'm not watching her from a distance which isn't helping me either. She hung up the phone and looked up making eye contact with me from across the room. Alex blinked a few times before looking away from me as she walked up to the table.

"Okay, you girl's have some free time before I get you to sound check tonight. Your free to do what you want to do until it's time to go. If your leaving the hotel Sadness unnie is on her way back so she'll take you anywhere you want to go," she explained.

By the end of the discussion Sana, Jihyo, Tzuyu and Dahyun were planning to go do some shopping while rest of us decided to stay in the hotel and maybe check out the indoor pool. We went back to our respective shared rooms.

"Have you made up with Alex unnie yet?" Mina asked suddenly.

"Wait, they're fighting? Lovers quarrel?" Nayeon asked.

"No to be honest I made it worse and now she's calling me Momo-ssi." I sighed sitting on the bed.

"How the hell did this happen? Oh god my ship is sinking!" Nayeon exclaimed.

"Momo what happened?" Mina asked.

I told them what happened a week ago and about what happened this morning and they both just face palmed themselves.

"You should definitely talk to her Moguri," they reasoned out.

"Guys I can't talk to her,"

"Why not?"

"Cause I wouldn't even know what to say plus she was really pissed off earlier. She probably doesn't want to talk to me anymore," the thought alone made me sad.

"Alex is nice I'm sure she's calm down by now. Just go talk to her," Mina assured me.

So here I am standing in front of Alex's room way too nervous to knock. I took a deep breath before knocking and waiting awkwardly. Soon she opened the door surprised to see me standing at her hotel room door.

"Momo-ssi, is everything alright?" she asked looking at me.

"Can we talk?" I asked.

"Okay," she opened the door for me to come in.

I sat down on the couch as Alex sat down in the chair next to the couch obviously creating space in between us.

"What's wrong? I thought you girls would be resting before tonight," she leaned on the armrest.

"We are but that's not what I'm here to talk about," I started.

"Go ahead and let me know and you manager unnie will try to help as much as she can," she gave me a slight nod still not making eye contact.

I guess this was to be expected since I did the same thing to her for a week and a half. Still stings though.

"Can you explain it all to me. Why can't we kiss again?" I asked bluntly.

"Because it's unprofessional and I really shouldn't get involved in a relationship with a member of the group I'm managing," she curtly answered.

"Okay, I get that your royally pissed off but I'm royally hurt Alex. So could you please just drop the formalities and just talk to me," I looked at her pleadingly.

She finally made eye contact with me and I saw her eyes softened and her eyebrows knit.

"Falling for you would be dangerous for your career and my job at the company. If something like this gets out we're screwed, game over," she reasoned.

"It won't get out. You're scared then let's just be scared together." my voice cracked.

"I can't Momo, I just can't. It's best if you found a nice guy and fall for him instead plus I won't be able to show you how I feel because I'm emotionally inept. It's just not gonna work out,"

"I don't want some dude I want you Al-lex," my voice was hoarse.

"Okay, please don't cry. Nayeon will kill me if I make you cry especially when you have a concert tonight," she smiled at me wiping the tears that were threatening to fall.

I dived into her arms hugging her tightly nuzzling into her shoulder. I sniffled feeling relieved that our talk worked out.

"You just gotta promise you'll let me explain before you walk out on me next time, deal?"

"Deal." I could tell I was smiling hard burying my face into her shoulder taking in her sweet aroma.

We're finally together. Finally!
