The trio of notorious playboys were young bachelors fed with a silver spoon since birth. So it wasn’t surprising that they owned a mansion that all the boys came and stay every so often, but the playboys’ majority of the time occupied the ridicoulsly huge mansion. Joshua walked in to see Seungcheol and Jeonghan in the main room talking, most likely about girls or their parent’s nagging. After all, Seungcheol’s father owned one of the most famous hospital in Seoul and it wasn’t a wonder how he knew the female body so well; Jeonghan’s mother is a fashion designer and model while his father is a famous photographer so it wasn’t a shock that he knew so much about clothing as his mother would design clothes for him once in a while, when she had free time. Then there was Joshua’s family, he loved both of his parents but he disagreed with his father as he is the CEO for one of the most fast tracking corporation in the world and he really didn’t want to take on his responsibility even though he was more than capable to take on the role.

“My two best friends.” He greeted them with a charming smile like the joker. They both smiled back as he sat down near them.

“So how is my dear friend going?” Jeonghan asked politely.

“Not good. I am currently in a sticky situation.” He poured himself some water and both seemed amused as Joshua wasn’t the type to be in sticky situations. If anything, Jeonghan was majority of the time in problems.

“Do tell, after all you always helped me with my situations.” Jeonghan urged on while Seungcheol quietly listened.

“I need help making this one girl fall for me.”

At that moment Seungcheol choked onto the water he was drinking while Jeonghan coughed uncomfortably. Both were surprised to hear Joshua was stuck, because out of the three he always seemed to know how to make a girl’s heart melt or insides get excited. Joshua looked at them with a raised brow.

“What?”

“Dude, I wonder if there is even a girl who could resist your charms.” said Seungcheol, grabbing tissues to wipe the water off his face.

“I honestly don’t know what to say… I mean… is this person even a girl?” Jeonghan scratched his neck.

“That’s the problem. She’s a hot chick that is like immune to my charms or something.”

Both chuckled, they had never seen Joshua so puzzled before. In all honesty both players didn’t know what to say to their friend. They only wondered who could make the young man so absorbed with them.

“Why don’t you just make her jealous or something?” the devil suggested and Jeonghan looked at him with an ‘are you serious look.’

“That’s a good idea but I have this feeling that she’s not going to fall that easily for me if I just told her I liked her.”

Jeonghan face palmed at both his friends, sometimes it made him wonder how he was friends with such people. Both started to form a plan to make the poor girl jealous and Jeonghan felt pity for her but was definitely interested in her.

“Who is the young lady that you’re after?” Jeonghan interrupted Joshua and Seungcheol small meeting.

“Lee Seyoung, why?” he asked confusion.

“I assume she’s apart of your little cupids games.” He concluded, “For whom are you playing cupid now?”

“Soonyoung, he’s been really lonely I noticed so I thought why not give him a helping hand?” Joshua said as if he was a genius or some sort. Jeonghan frowned when he mentioned the younger name and it appeared he wasn’t the only one as Seungcheol held a face with confusion.

“Don’t you know-“

“Yeah, yeah, I know that she doesn’t like guys like me who play with girl’s hearts but I personally want to capture this woman’s heart.” Joshua stated with determination in his voice which left both young men blinking.

Joshua was never interested in his targets.

Both knew this too well as he would practically come home with a different girl every day or he would be taking a young lady out somewhere to capture and destroy their hearts but this particular lady seemed to have him smitten already without him realising.

“How about you take her out on a date?”Jeonghan suggested. He was amused of this situation and wondered what was happening to his best friend.

“I already asked but she flat out rejected me.” Joshua slumped onto the couch and Jeonghan sat next to him.

“How about I help you?  After all when has a girl ever rejected the 1008 angel Jeonghan.” He winked at him and Joshua couldn’t help but smile back while Seungcheol rolled his eyes.

Seyoung Lee didn’t come from a rich, propsporus family, thus she worked her hardest to get accepted to the Univeristy of Seoul. She worked every day to pay for her apartment as her family lived in Busan. She shared an apartment with a Japanese student named Hirai Momo who was a dance student in the same club and it was only natural that both were friends. They had been friends ever since both joined the club and worked together at a nearby café.

“Morning!” Momo greeted Seyoung as she sat down to stretch with her. Since Momo is Japanese, Seyoung started to pick up some words here and there and now she was pretty sure she could converse in Japanese.

“Why are you so late? I was worried it would only be Hoshi and I.” Seyoung whined with a hidden smile. At the mention of the young man’s name, Momo went pink and Seyoung couldn’t help but giggle at her.

“Ayee… Don’t say his name so loud.” She frantically looked around to see the young man talking to his friends.

“Please, I’m sure he likes you as well. Aren’t you guys in the same class?”

“Yeah… just because he helps me with my Korean doesn’t mean he’s interested.” She fiddled with her fingers and Seyoung could only help but laugh at her friend who was obviously in love with the blonde man.

“Well isn’t Joshua Hong after you?” Momo asked.

Seyoung rolled her eyes at the mention of his name. The man was obviously only playing around, he wasn’t actually serious in dating her or having any relationship with her, and why would she want to be in contact with someone who wasn’t even sincere about his “feelings” towards her. She always believed that in life there is no point in playing with someone’s feelings as you would only hurt them and there was a chance you could hurt yourself as well in the process.

“He’s not serious about me.” Seyoung disregarded the manner but Momo was interested.

“The real question is why are you not interested in him?”

Seyoung scoffed at the question. Indeed it was true that Joshua Hong is attractive and he was rich but what turned him off for her was that she never seemed to understand his true motive. She could see that he wasn’t sincere in his actions or words but what made her wonder was why would he pretend then? Why bother playing with other people’s feelings like their nothing? Did he not have a heart himself?

“Why would I be in the first place?” 

“Well…” Momo started, “He’s as handsome as the devil and perfect like an angel.”

Seyoung rolled her eyes as she snorted and went to stretch her leg on the beam.

“Seriously why don’t you just give him a chance?” Momo leaned onto the beam which Seyoung was stretching her leg.

“I know that he’s only playing with me, so what’s the point?”

Momo sighed, “Well why not give him a chance… I mean he might be able to distract you from-“

“Look I don’t want to use him to get over someone. I’m not that type of person.” Seyoung walked over to the music player to play her song that she was dancing to while Momo followed her like a shadow.

“Well think about it Seyoung.” She said with seriousness and Seyoung could see that she was serious.

“Why not just go out on one date with him?” She reasoned with her and Seyoung raised a brow. “One date isn’t going to kill you.” Momo shrugged and then it made sense to Seyoung when she saw a familiar playboy with someone’s massive crush.

She sighed, “She wants me to play cupid.”

Momo got ready to start their routine while Seyoung the music which caught everyone’s attention. Especially Joshua Hong who looked at the duo with great interest, but more importantly his eyes were trained on a particular flower.

He initially had come to the dance room to tell Soonyoung the situation and how it would take a little longer than expected. Soonyoung was about to say something when the music started playing and Joshua knew why she was in the dance team and why Soonyoung had his eyes on her. She was mesmerising when she danced, it was like everything went in slow motion for Joshua. He could see she had passion for dancing and was clearly good at it. Her body moved like it had a mind of its own and was fluid. It made him wonder, who exactly was she? Did she do dancing when she was younger? Or was her father or mother a famous dancer that he hasn’t heard of? Why did it seem that even when she knew that he was looking at her that she was neither fazed nor distracted? How was it that she was so immune to his charms and looks?

It made him wonder who exactly the she was.

“Damn…” Joshua cursed.

 “Joshua-“ Soonyoung called out to tell him but it seemed useless as the said young man was already walking towards Seyoung and when she looked up to see him standing there with his hands in his pockets, looking at her with eyes that she had never seen him with before. He gave her a hand but she ignored it and stood up on her own.

“What is it that you want Joshua Hong?”

“You.”

He took a step towards her and she was uncertain whether to take a step back or stand her ground against him. When he had made his way over to her, she looked into his eyes and saw a flicker of something she couldn’t explain.

“Seyoung Lee, I would like to take you out and get to know you. Would it be okay if we went out tonight?”

Seyoung was beyond shocked. Never had she seen him ask someone out like this before, she knew that this was probably a trick to make her go out with him but for some reason she didn’t want to believe it. His eyes screamed of sincerity. Seyoung glanced at Hoshi and then to Momo who was looking at him. She knew that Joshua was friends with Hoshi, and she knew how much her friend wanted to get closer to Hoshi.

Would it be worth the risk?

She had never played with someone’s feelings before but she could see that Momo had been taken by Hoshi and if she could get them together, then maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. Besides it wasn’t like Joshua had actually had feelings for her and she more than knows he is playing with her but the question that remained is why is he?

She looked at Joshua who had the curves of his lips up and a look that showed he was waiting, patiently for her answer. Seyoung debated with herself and bit her inner cheek, contemplating what to do.

For what felt like of eternity of embarrassment for Joshua, she replied to his question and for some reason he felt like he had gotten her but then that feeling disappeared.

“I’m sorry Mr Playboy but you’re gonna have to try way harder to get me.”

When she had walked away, Joshua was less amused now that she had broken three of his rules, and he felt a slight disappointment in his heart. He knew now that he absolutely wanted and needed to break her heart because in this world, no one could avoid falling for someone like him and it was only a matter of time before she was in the palm of his hand.
