IU rang the bell of Changjo’s house and soon after , the door opened , revealing the man himself .
“Noona....”

NO ONE’S POV:

“Choi Jonghyun !” IU stood up , furrowing her eyebrows .

Changjo sighed and messed his hair .

“I have no choice , okay . It’s for my own good .”

IU paced around the living room , thinking deeply . Eventhough she wasn’t close with Changjo , she felt mad at him for being self-centered .

She abruptly stopped and finally faced him .

“What about Haejin ? What are you going to tell her ? What if she forgets you and hates you for this ? What will happen to all those times you guys spent together ?”

Changjo looked down as his tears threatened to fall . He could not even imagine being hated or even worse , forgotten by Haejin .

“I....don’t know .” He mumbled softly .

IU sighed and sat beside him .

“How long ?”

With that two words , Changjo knew what she meant .
After a few moments of hesitation , he answered ,
“I’m not coming back .”

YOUR POV:

“AAAHHH , OPPA !” I flapped my arms as Donghyun Oppa carried me and started running around the beach . Apparently , Jeongmin Oppa and JiEun Unnie decided to bring us for a vacation at our parents’ beach house . Together with Minwoo , Youngmin oppa , Kwangmin oppa , Donghyun oppa , Jeongmin oppa , JiEun Unnie and IU Unnie , we are playing at of course , the beach .

After a while , Donghyun Oppa put me down . I straightened my floral dress before slapping his arms .

“That was not fun , Oppa !” I merely lied , as I controlled myself from smiling .

He just chuckled before attacking the others by splashing water at their faces .

“Just how old is he...” I mumbled before giggling at the sight .

I headed towards the shade , where IU Unnie was sitting , hugging her knees and resting her head on them .
I skipped towards her and sat beside her .

“Annyeong , Unnie !” I beamed .

She slightly smiled before replying back ,

“Annyeong .”

I noticed the weird atmosphere though . She has been quiet the whole ride and even now , she was giving short answers . And I particularly hate short answers .

“Unnie , what’s wrong ?”

IU POV:

“Unnie , what’s wrong ?”

Should I tell her ?
I mentally shook my head .
No , you promised Changjo .
But.....she will know it soon .

I opened my mouth but nothing seemed to come out the way I wanted it to be .
My shoulder slumped as I heaved a sigh .

“Nothing .”

A promise is a promise .

--2 weeks later--

NO ONE’S POV:
“Changjo , are you sure Haejin knows you are going off today ?” Mrs. Choi touched his shouder , worried .

Changjo nodded slightly , “Yes Omma . Let’s just go in before it’s too late .”

“Why don’t you call her for the last time ?” Mrs. Choi continued worrying .

“It’s fine Omma ,” Changjo glanced at Chunji , one of his good friends .
“She knows everything . Even if she doesn’t know it now , she will know.....soon .”

Chunji smiled before nodding once .
Mrs. Choi sighed , “Alright , if you say so . We’ll wait for you inside .”

After Mr. and Mrs. Choi left , the rest of his friends started saying their farewells .

“Goodbye Changjo , do keep in contact with us .” C.A.P , or , Minsoo , gave him a man hug while the rest just create waterfalls with their eyes .

“One day , we’ll meet you there !” Ricky voiced out while sniffing .

Soon , everyone joined the hug , resulting in a group hug . Changjo bursted into tears too in no moment . Not only will he miss his friends for years , but also you , his first and only crush , or to be more sophisticated , Love .
