Joohyun: Let's go

Mino could not believe his eyes at first. He rubs his eyes before checking the text again

"Let's go"

He then tosses his phone onto his bed before jumping around in excitement, like a kid who got the candy he has been wanting

Mino's POV

'YAAASSSSS, okay Hugeboy, calm down and don't screw this up' Mino says in his mind

3rd Person POV

Mino grabs his phone and replies cooly

Hugeboy: Really? Aren't you busy??

Joohyun: Waeyo? Can't believe that I agreed to go out with you? Cancel it then

Hugeboy: NONONONO!!!! Just making sure, you know

Joohyun: Ke ke ke ke, let's have donkatsu (Pork cutlet)

Hugeboy: Jinjja? Is it really okay for you to eat fried food?

Joohyun: ?? Why not?

Hugeboy: Don't you have diet plans

Joohyun: Ahh, no worries, I can always exercise tomorrow

Hugeboy: Okay!!!!!! Send me your address, I'll pick you up

Joohyun: Sure

Red Velvet's Dorm

After sending the dorm's address, Irene immediately gets up to wash up

'Seulgi-yah, should I wear this or this?' Irene asks her best friend while holding two outfits

'The left one.... wait where are you going?' Seulgi asks

'Hmmm... I prefer the right one though...'

'Well the right one looks good too... Wait that isn't the point, you're ignoring my question, unnie'

'... I'm eating out tonight with Mino' Irene says timidly

'Really?!?!?!' Seulgi asks

Irene then explains her situation to Seulgi

'Wahh unnie, you two progressed faster than I expected' The younger member says

'Don't get the wrong idea okay, we are having a meal just because he's afraid he won't be able to talk to me often during his tour'

'That's really nice of oppa, but he hasn't bought me a meal yet' Seulgi pouts cutely

'Aigooo, do you want to come along?' Irene invites Seulgi

'Eiiii, why would I be a third wheeler? Just enjoy your time with him' Seulgi says with an evil smirk to leader

'It's just a meal, Seulgi' Irene slightly glares at Seulgi

'Hahahah, just joking unnie.... but I gotta ask you about this'

'Yes?' Irene, now says as she puts her makeup on

'What do feel about Minho-oppa?'

Right, how does Irene truly feels about Mino, and things between them? During the past few weeks, she could tell that Mino has been giving her all his attention, support and faith endlessly, and she is really grateful about it. She also notices that it is odd for her to actually talk to a guy, as she was really uninterested in any, until she met Mino. However, this does not change the fact that she's an idol, he's an idol. To be exact, she's a rookie SM idol who has yet made a huge impact in the field yet, and not to mention he's a YG artist.

To summarise, Irene feels really comfortable and loves Mino to be around her, and she knows Mino has been trying to get to know her in a romantic way. However she also feels that there are more drawbacks than upsides in this relationship, as seen as what happened to Seulgi.

'Unnie, don't think too much' Seulgi says and cuts Irene off from her thoughts

'Hmm?'

'Just follow your instincts, okay?'

'Really?'

'Yeah, I trust your instincts, and that is also one of the reasons you're the Leader, okay?'

'... Thank you, Seulgi' Irene says as Seulgi comes to hug her

'Do you have a curfew?' Mino asks as he drives

'Hmm, I can't get home so late, I guess?' Irene replies from the passenger seat

Both of them are on the way towards the donkatsu restaurant

'Schedule tomorrow?' Mino asks again

'Well, sort of, you know, have business to do in the company' Irene replies and stares at Mino

'When's your next comeback?' Mino now stares back

'Uhhh.... there's a comeback scheduled soon but I'm not sure yet as it is still in discussion' Irene, feeling burdened by Mino's stare, turns her head away

Mino nods his head

Then, an awkward silence follows

'You look really really beautiful even without much makeup' Mino says shyly

'.... Are you always this upfront with your feelings? heheheh' Irene replies while chuckling a little

'Well I'm just stating the fact'

'Komawo~ But I can tell you put a lot of effort to dress up'

In comparison to Irene's cute top, denim pants and light make up, Mino just wore a hoody, track pants and sneakers

'Well I'm sorry Joohyun noona, I literally grab my car keys and flew out of the dorm without thinking... I guess I was too excited to meet my favourite girl' Mino says with an embarrassed tone

Irene blushes this time, the "My.Favourite.Girl" word keeps on swirling in her mind

'Actually it's better like this, to avoid attention, good job, dongsaeng-ah'

Mino smiles brightly at Irene, who smiles back too

At the Donkatsu Place

'Yeah, that will do' Mino says as he finishes his order

'Shall I repeat the order?' The waiter asks before checking the order

'Kamsahamida~' Irene thanks the waiter

Both of them are currently at the restaurant with disguise on (Caps & Masks)

'You seem like you come here often huh?' Irene asks

'Well..... I used to come here with my sister alot'

'Oh rightt, what's her name again?'

'Song Dana'

'I see, sigh.. I miss my family...'

'Awww, but didn't you just visit them last week?'

'Yeahh but 1 week feels like an eternity'

Mino stays silent. He sort of can empatize with Irene, being in the same industry. It is true that idols do not get the opportunity to meet their families as much as they like

Mino reaches over and gives a pat on Irene's shoulder

'Hahahahah, I'm actually fine, don't need to treat me like I lost my world' Irene giggles

'Right? Sorry man... ha.haha..haha...' Mino laughs out of embarrassment

They went on to talk more as they wait for their food. They talked about various stuff, as this is their first actual time having a conversation face to face, so both sides are trying hard to get to know each other better

Irene got to know that Mino is a pabo inside out, regardless of his charismatic image, and also knows that he keeps it 100% whenever he is with her, basically her ideal guy. But, does she really need a man right now?

'Aigoo, why do you eat like a kid' Mino says

He then got up and wipe the corner of Irene's lips, to Irene's surprise

'You got some sauce on your lips, noona' Mino says

'So..sorry...' Irene blushes again

Irene also notices that Mino is the only guy that made her blush this easily

The "date" gone on smoothly, mainly Irene laughing at Mino's pabo-ness

'Here we are' Mino says as he stops his car. They are in front of Irene's dorm

'Yeah...' Irene says

'See you soon, I guess?'

'... Minho-ah...' Irene says with a serious tone

Mino realises the tone and sits straight

'Neh?'

'I honestly think we should stop here...'

This statement hits Mino really hard

'Just listen first, okay? I know, things have been going smoothly between us.... You're a really nice man, and I really appreciate you a lot. To be honest, I think I am falling for you already... But I think I cannot afford to do this... I mean unlike you, my career as an idol is still not firm, you get what I mean?'

Mino nods his head calmly. He fully understands that Red Velvet has not made an impact in the industry yet.

'I've goals that I set with the girls before making a debut, and I'm determined to achieve those goals, alongside my members. I've been thinking these days, that it would be selfish for me to take things to the next level, as it may actually ruin our path to the goals.'

Both of them stay silent for a moment

'Not only that, if we were to be caught by the media, I think both of our careers will come to a state of turmoil. You saw right? What happened to you and Seulgi... I don't think I can go through that just yet... I'm sure you can't too...'

Mino nods again

'That's why I think we should cut it off, for now at least, don't you think so?'

Another silence follows

'Yeah, I think so too.' Mino finally opens his mouth

'I understand where you are coming from....' He continues

'I'm glad that you do.... Let's meet again, when the circumstances are better, okay? I promise.'

Irene moves towards Mino and hugs him

'I'm grateful for everything you've done for me, and thank you for being there for me everytime. I'm sorry that I've selected my members over you'

Mino closes his eyes and listens. 

Irene breaks the hug

'I'll be going off first then...' Irene says

Mino nods and unlocks the door

'Till next time, Minho'

'Goodluck for your comeback, Irene-sshi.'
