It's time for the Christmas Holidays!!! People around Korea are busy going back to their respective hometowns, so that they can celebrate their year-end holidays with their beloved family.

Not for idols though, this period of time is the second most hectic period of their schedules in the year, next to the comeback promotions. During this period, Year-End Music Festivals, Variety Shows and Radio Shows tend to fill their somewhat already-filled schedule, draining all the energy idols have. My--

'Strong Babies, please go to stage and prepare for the final rehearsals!!' One of the PD calls out (Good job cutting the boring narrating up there, Mr. PD)

'Nehh!!' Red Velvet screams as they leave the backstage.

Well, this time, it's the SBS Gayo Daejun 2014. Performers have arrived since early morning, just to rehearse and check on their already-perfected performance. Red Velvet is none other than one of the performers invited. However, they will not be performing Happiness only, they will be performing "Moves Like Jagger", along with other rookies GOT7, Lovelyz and lastly WINNER, with the overall name of "Strong Babies"

As Red Velvet was walking towards the stage, Irene's hand unconsciously touches Wendy's , without wasting any time, Wendy lightly slaps Irene's hand, snapping her out of her thoughts, damn.... these babies are strong indeed

'Unnie, you alright? You seem to be in deep thoughts' The youngest, Joy says

'Mhm? Anii, I am just nervous' Irene says with a smile to her maknae

'Of course you are, you're paired with WINNER's Mino-sshi' Seulgi exclaims, earning a glare from her leader

Yeah, you heard right. Each of the members are paired with a guy, with Irene paired with Mino, Wendy with Taehyun

'I'm not nervous because of him, I've heard rumours that they are a PRO when it comes to music' Irene says uneasily. The other members nod their head

Well, it is not that Irene is not talented or something, it's just that she is very shy, nervous and insecure around strangers, especially guys, hot guys.. However, when she is close with that person, she may be the loudest and childiest person in the whole world

'Annyeonghaseyeo!' Red Velvet greets formally as they enter the stage. Instead of meeting a scene with serious guys discussing about the upcoming performance

'AHAHA MINO-YAA, YOU LOST!' Jackson shouts.

I guess not, the boys are not wearing a serious expressions, they are GOOFING around like small kids. This sight made Joy, Seulgi and Wendy to laugh out loud as they saw what Jackson was doing. Lovelyz is there too in the corner, watching them cheerfully

Irene cannot help but, chuckles before

'Boys' she mutters under her breath

'Annyeonghaseyeo!' The boys noticed Red Velvet's presence and then greets formally as well. Red Velvet returns the greet. 

'Get into your positions please!' The PD, once again orders. And thus, this is Irene's first personal meeting with the "serious-bad-boy", MINO

'Annyeonghaseyeo' Mino greets Irene again, rather shy though

'Oh..! Annye..onghaseyeo!'

'Happy that we will be working together' Mino says before lifting his hand, indicating a handshake. Irene timidly accepts his handshake

'It..it's my pleasure'  Irene says softly, earning a shy grin from Mino

Irene's POV

'Oh my god Baechu, what are you doing?! Calm yourself down, he's just being friendly with me, nothing much! But, he's cute tho, that shy grin, *squeals like a fan girl in her mind*, wait, BAECHU STOPP!!!'

3rd Person's POV

Along the rehearsal, everything was moving smoothly, as expected from the industry's best rookies around. When Mino and Irene danced together, Mino suggested a lot of little creative moves they could do together, while Irene was still being quiet, fighting in her own brain, she remained smiling though

Irene's POV

'Wah, Mino-sshi is definitely a pro, thumbs up to him, and and... he's kinda warm too, ahhh.. how I wish I could lie on him in this harsh cold weather, wait. BAECHU!!'

3rd Person's POV

The rehearsals ended for the Strong Babies, and it ended smoothly. The Babies' thanked the staff before heading to backstage. As Irene was about to leave with her group members, she felt someone tapped her shoulder, it's none other than Mino

'See ya later' Mino says with a cheekish grin. He has to stay back for the MC rehearsals again. Irene cannot help but blushees, before smiling back

'Woahhhhhhhhhh' The members tease their leader, Irene. They are now in their waiting room

'Waeyoooo' Irene says in shy yet annoyed tone, loudly

'See ya later' Joy reenacts Mino, inviting another round of teasing from the other members

'Yahh, he's just being friendly' Irene says, her cheeks are bright red

'Yeah, sure' Wendy, who came from Canada says in English, sarcasticly

'Our leader unnie is in loove~~' Joy says from the other side of the room

'Pfft, who says so? In love with you girls~' Irene says,

'Aww....' The girls reply

And so, the 2014 SBS Gayo Daejun starts with the Lucky Boys, with Mino being one of the MC's . She is disappointed that Red Velvet didn't win the Rookie of The Year award, but somehow she is happy that Mino's team won it. When Mino was MC-ing, Irene could not help is but stare at him the whole time. Then, Mino's eye suddenly turns towards her, Mino smiles at her from far, realising the situation, Irene quickly avoids his stare and blushes, hard. Then, Mino performed "Born Hater" alongside his label mates. Unfortunately, Red Velvet had to watch it from the screen in their waiting room. Honestly, Irene might be in charge of rapping in her group, but she is not really into HipHop/Rapping. She definitely knows some big names in that industry, but she rarely really listens to it. She practically learnt rap from her company from A-Z. However, when she heard Mino's rap, she cannot help but enjoy it. Not to say the other guys are bad or what, but she really enjoys how Mino raps and acts on stage. When it was Mino's part, Irene got really hyped and enjoyed it. Lastly, the performance. Although she went through the rehearsals, she's still kinda nervous. Right before Red Velvet went up the stage, Mino steps up and gives her a reassuring smile, which calmed her down a bit. During the performance, nothing much happened but the fans screamed really loud when Mino and Irene did their little "fan service".

The Gayo Daejun has ended, and it's pretty late at night. Red Velvet's manager has gone out to get the van ready, while Red Velvet is walking towards the exit, until

'Irene-sshi!' A familliar voice calls out

While hesitating, Irene turns around, so as the other members. Some random people stared at him as well

'Yes?' Irene says

'Unnie, we will wait for you at the exit' Seulgi says before pulling the other two as well

'Huff Huff...' Mino pants, since he chased after her, leaving Irene wide eyed

'Can I have your phone number?' Mino speaks shyly
