Jiyoon grinned and waved as she saw Amber's car approaching. Amber parked the car and then came to greet the other parents.

"Thank you for thanking care of Jiyoon" she said and bowed

"Ah, Amber-shii, no need to thank you. Jiyoon is always adorable and good at making her friends laugh"

Amber smiled and bowed a little bit. She placed her hand around Jiyoon's shoulder "So you had so much fun?"

"Yes" Jiyoon nodded her head and smiled

"Ready to go home?"

"Yeees" Jiyoon said and grabbed Amber's hand. Amber pulled her to a hug and whispered "Love you, kiddo" 

"Mooom"

"Yes, yes, no PDA especially in front of your friends" Amber rolled her eyes.

Everybody laughed.

After wishing everyone a good year, Amber went hand in hand with her daughter.

"I have a surprise for you"

"Surprise?" Jiyoon looked at her mom and looked at her with excited eyes

"Mmmm mmmm" Amber smiled

"At home?" Jiyoon pulled Amber's hand "Is it something I like?"

"Yes, and yes"

"OMG, what is it, Mom?" Jiyoon pulling Amber's hand even more in excitement

"If I tell you, it wouldn't be a surprise right?"

"But I want to know now" She whined

"We'll be home soon" Amber ruffled Jiyoon's hair "I'm sure you won't die of curiosity for the next 15 minutes"

Jiyoon pouted but didn't say a thing until they got in the car

"Is it a puppy?" she asked Amber while wriggling her eyebrows

Amber laughed "No"

"A kitten?"

"Nope"

"Hmmmmm"

"Goldfish?"

"You already have your aunt Ailee for that"

"True" Jiyoon giggled

"A bike?"

"You already have a bike"

"Skateboard?"

"You can't even skateboard"

"I can learn"

"No, it's not a skateboard"

"Am I going to like the surprise?"

"Well... yes and I don't know"

"How is that supposed to be an answer?" Jiyoon rolled her eyes

"I mean I know you are going to like the first one, the second one, I'm not so sure. I mean you'll like it but maybe not at first"

Jiyoon folded her arms on the chest, thinking hard what could that surprise be.

She looked at her mom, squinted before she said "Did you break up with Auntie Min and now you are going to introduce me to your new girlfriend?"

Amber choked and started to cough. She was so speechless at Jiyoon's guess

"NO!" She said after she stopped coughing "Omg, how could you even think about that? Your aunty Min and I, we are just fine"

Jiyoon shrugged her shoulders "It was just a guess"

Amber sighed and looked at her daughter. She knew it was more a wish and a guess. Jiyoon and Min never got along, they never said or showed that they dislike each other but instead they just stay out of each others way.

"It better be a puppy" Jiyoon murmured before run to the house.

"UNNIE! Yaaaayyyyyy" she was ecstatic as she saw Krystal and run to hug her. She guessed that was the surprise Amber was talking about. She did feel something a bit off on how Krystal hugged her, it was tighter and longer than normal. Jiyoon broke the hug was a little surprise as she saw tears on the corner of Krystal's eyes.

"Unnie" she said worriedly "Are you okay?"

Krystal hurriedly wiped her tears "Yeah, sorry, i just missed you so much"

"I miss you too, Unnie. I still don't understand why you never spend time with us here anymore" Jiyoon pouted 

"Can I spend more time with you?" Krystal asked carefully

"Of course you can" Jiyoon said loudly "Right, mom? Krystal-Unnie should spend more time with us here just like she used to, right?"

"Yes" Amber nodded and looked at Krystal directly "She should"

"See, Unnie. Mom wants you to stay here too"

Krystal could only smiled weakly. My daughter, would you still want that when we tell you the truth? Wenn you know that I abandoned you?

"Kiddo, go put your stuffs in your room first and hurry come back, okay? We want to talk to you about something" Amber pinched Jiyoon's cheek

"You want to talk to me? You and Krystal unnie? Together?" Jiyoon raised her eyebrow

"Yes" Amber nodded

Jiyoon narrowed her eyes again in suspicion and then said "I was right, wasn't I?"

"About what?" Amber said confusingly

"My last guess in the car? "

Amber's ears turn red "Omg, no"

Krystal looked at them "What guess?"

"Nothing, nothing.." Amber waved her hand to make Krystal ignore what she just heard "Just go and come back here soon" she said to Jiyoon

Jiyoon grinned seeing how red Amber's ears are "You know I don't mind if that's really happened" she said with a large grin on her face.

"Aish, nothing happened" Amber said in desperation and hushed her daughter "Go, please"

Amber shook her head as she heard Jiyoon laughing all the way to her room.

"What was that about?" Krystal asked curiosly

"Ah, nothing" Amber shook her head "She was just being silly"

Krystal nodded and her face turned serious.

"You think we should tell her now? Or maybe we could wait a bit?"

"Krys, the truth must be said. You were sad as I kept the truth from you, weren't you? I'm sure Jiyoon will feel the same when she found out that we knew for some time but kept it away from her"

Krystal sighed. Her face filled with fear, scared on how Jiyoon would react.

They stopped talking as they saw Jiyoon was back.

"Why are you two acting weird?" She frowned at their reaction

Amber placed her hand on Krystal's back, telling her to sit down first in the living room.

"Come here" Amber took Jiyoon's hand and walked with her to the living room.

Jiyoon felt that something was off. She looked at Amber who sat in front of her and then to Krystal on the other side.

"Mom, is everything okay?" She asked

"Yes, don't worry. I... I mean we, we want to talk to you about something" Amber smiled reassuring.

"Why do I have the feeling I won't like this conversation?" Jiyoon's expression hardened

Amber Jiyoon's hair "It's not a bad thing what we are going to tell you. I promised"

Jiyoon nodded "Okay" she said with with an unsure tone

Amber took a deep breath before she continued "We already talked about your adoption a few years ago, right?"

"Yes..." Jiyoon said weakly "Why do you want to talk about this again?"

"There's something new.."

"You don't want me anymore?" Jiyoon was on the verge of tears

"No! Please don't think like that" Amber grabbed Jiyoon's hands "It's not like that. Please listen to me first, okay?"

Jiyoon was scared of was could come but she nodded.

"You knew that I adopted you from my sister, right?"

Jiyoon nodded again

"And I told you that she also adopted you" Amber continued

"Yes" Jiyoon said weakly

"You remember what I told you about the adoption?"
