Hye ryeong was escorted by some men as yoon suggested back to her house, she came into her room and changed as she remembered what her father told her that morning.
“tomorrow we are going to meet the king and the crown prince, look your best” her father coldly said to her that morning  and left, it has been a long day, first gwi unexpectedly asking her to be his woman and then the attack on yoon, she decided to sleep things off, it is going to be a long day tomorrow too, though she put off the light in her room, she couldn’t get herself to sleep, earlier when he stayed the whole time while she was unconscious she saw something in his eyes, some care, care that she hasn’t seemed to receive from anyone, she was simply a toy for everyone, a pawn to reach their goals, but it hurt her more when she had to ask him to let go and left there since this isn’t what she should be doing or feeling, yes she acknowledged her feelings for him,  that arrow she couldn’t let him hurt her, that instinctive action she did without any thought of her being hurt showed her that she has fallen in love with him, it was the same that happened 10 years ago for her.

“omma, I am going to the cliff top ”
“now ?” hye ryeong’s mother asked her, it was almost night and it is getting dark
“omma, I have to give someone this” little hye ryeong happily waved the paper in her hands to her mother
“what is it hye ryeong ah ?”
“omma, a gift, I drew it myself” hye ryeong said happily as she remembered all the effort she put in drawing that, she spent hours before that canvas just to give that to her new lee oppa, she didn’t know his full name yet since some guards have taken him back that day, but he asked to come here again on the full moon day, she was very excited to meet him again, seeing her little child’s happiness hye ryeong’s mother let her go but asked her to come back early.
“oppa, where are you ? did you already come and go ?” hye ryeong talked to herself as there was no one when she went there, that place was empty, the serenity she liked when she was alone didn’t seem peace but she felt a little lonely, but she was too young to understand matters of heart, what she was aware was that she liked him as a friend, a friend with beautiful eyes. She waited a little bit more as she sat on the rock, but she was oblivious to something that has been happening in her house as she waited here.
“I told you, she has to do this, only then I can gain authority” hye ryeong’s father argued with his mother that he will be handing hye ryeong to gwi, she loathed that thought
“how can you do this to her? She is your daughter” hye ryeong’s mother pleaded
“I am going to go get her, she will be presented to gwi today”
“no you can’t go” she begged him, begged him not to sell their child for power and wealth, if she had known this was the reason he asked where hye ryeong was earlier she wouldn’t even have said where she was, he already know now where she is and can’t let that happen to her child, falling on kneels she begged him again
“please, don’t do this to her” she asked trying to block his way from the door, but he was furious and was carving for power, only when he offers something great he could get that and what happens if he lost a daughter in that process, he can always have more children if he wanted later. Using all his strength he pushed hye ryeon’s mother hard so that she fell back, and taking that opportunity he left. Hye ryeon’s mother hit her head hard on the floor due to his force, blood bleeding out she fainted there.

“hye ryeong ah, come with me, I have to take you to somewhere” her father asked hye ryeong as she was sitting there
“aboeji I can’t go yet, I am waiting”
“for who ?” he asked his daughter suspiciously
“chingu”
“you can meet up with them whoever it was later, now come with me” he said to her to convince her to come with him, he lied to her as he knew she may never return.
“but aboeji ”hye ryeong tried to ask but he said in an angry tone
“hye ryeong ah, you should come with me now” little hye ryeong was intimidated by his behavior,
“arasso abeoji, I will come” hye ryeong said as she place her drawing on the rock and also her hair clip, for him to let him know that she has come to the cliff. After that she went back to her father and he took her with him to the cave palace, gwi’s residence. Her father offered her as prey to him, things were so unbelievable for her that day, her very own father betrayed her, but thanks to gwi for the one time she was as he spared her life then saying that he needs her grown up existence which she knew now was to lure kim sung yeol. Even though he spared her life, she has to stay hostile there for one month, and after crying continuously for numerous nights she was given freedom to roam around but still in the name of his slave. That day when she returned home, she was shocked, her mother, she was not well, she changed, she behaved differently and lost her stability. Just because of her father, she heard that story of what happened from one of the maids. Crying was only thing she did for days together and once again came a full moon day, she went to her favorite place, the place where she wanted to meet that friend that day, she was not sure if he would come even after three full moon’s have passed away but she went there, he was not there, also her painting that she clipped with one of her hair pins, so he did come and took that, she wanted to talk to someone, just someone she wanted someone to be her side, she only has one person in mind though, lee oppa, she wished so much that he would come there that day, but luck seemed to be have out of her life as she heard a voice that sends shivers down her spine
“you, go home or go to cave, I didn’t let you live to die out in cold like this with your illness, you have a purpose to fulfill, you should visit places like these at night” it was gwi, he ordered her and left. Suddenly she felt that she has become a toy he could do whatever with thanks to her father, she couldn’t even have some place where she could find serenity, sighing she left back to her house which a new house her father got since he became the prime minister, comforts that came with power are all available there, but life, she didn’t know where it was.

“this is my daughter majesty” the prime minister, her father said as he stepped aside and asked her to greet him, as instructed hye ryeong greeted the king and let a sigh out, she already noticed there were two other figures in the room, he might be the crown prince she has to marry, disappointed and sad she remembered her past as she closed her eyes for a split second, two faces flashed, that friend she made once, and lee yoon’s eyes and how he took care of her health for her yesterday, may be if she remained that poor kid life would have been easier than being daughter of a greedy father. She slowly shifted her eyes, to her surprise it was yoon and his mother, smile automatically came up, maybe she started to have some luck now.
