“yes I was attracted with you for some time, but now there was nothing left”
“I cannot believe that sunbae-nim has changed, but looks like you did, I don’t want to ever see you, if you ever find yourself guilty, think about the nation and work for people” yang sun said angrily and left, just as she left, the look in his eyes changed, he finally managed to convince her too that he has changed,  changed into someone bad, but it wasn’t easy for him, tears started to dwell up in his eyes, he let out a little laugh at his very own condition before he continued into the palace being built. He didn’t know there were a pair of eyes that observed him, hye ryeong, she heard his unspoken words, she knew her heart ached to say that to him, but why is this hurting her ? she has to mentally slap herself again for thinking like that, you are supposed to marry the crown prince she told herself as she decided to go to the hwayang-gak (the hotel) and surprisingly she encountered kim sung yeol. From the information she gained about him, he seemed to be in love with that book seller yang sun but also seemed like he was feeling constrained as he was a vampire,
“I happen to see the book seller with another scholar, they seemed to have some conversation and she was working as a slave in the place newly being built” hye ryeong gave him the information, his expression softened, seeing that she gave him the answers he wanted but couldn’t dare to ask himself she left as she bowed to him. why did she mention that scholar’s name again, why is she feeling attracted towards him ? there is no need to mention that scholar, yoon, there was no need, even if she wanted to help kim sung yeol, she could just give information about the bookseller and should have left.
 

“what about being my woman than the queen of the nation ?” gwi asked her, once more with the look he always said that it was hard to resist her blood, what does he mean by saying this ? he means he wanted to drink her blood too or wanted to have her turn into a vampire queen ? they both are very bad and dangerous options,  and be a vampire queen, she could kill herself than become that, she knew her answer even before that question was posed to her
“I want to be a human with power” she said, afraid of what outcome her answer will be, but luckily gwi scoffed off with a laugh and let her go.
 

“it is the king and the crown prince’s plan master, the crown prince is the lustful student, I am searching for clues against him” the prime minister said to gwi as he still didn’t accept the fact that yang sun’s father was the lustful student.
“what do you think ?” gwi asked hye ryeong
“I think it was yang sun’s father the lustful student, but I also think there are more important matters to handle than that, according to what I heard, the old man has disclosed the location of crown prince jung hyun’s memorandum and it might be in kim sung yeol’s hand” hye ryeong said, she already knew that crown prince is the lustful student, but she cannot let his name be leaked, though she didn’t see him herself, she knew that the crown prince was the lustful student through her sub-lings, and the way her father reacted over that made her confirm that and if her father is putting crown prince’s name forward that is his greed for more power and she cannot let that happen, she had to marry crown prince in order to get back at her father. She has to divert gwi’s attention from the lustful student and thus she put forward the rumor she heard, that the location of that memorandum has been leaked, she thanked the lord as gwi took interest in that and dismissed both her and her father.  Upon leaving outside her father threw a fit about her thinking in favor of lustful student but she discarded them and left relieved that for now she didn’t let gwi suspect the crown prince, whoever it may be.

it has been a few days since the lustful students act has happened and things have fallen back to place, he got know that he completely misunderstood his grandfather, the king, he was indeed planning everything secretly so that he can gain the correct result of killing gwi, he himself has joined his grandfather, playing along with gwi as if they surrendered to him and waiting for a correct time to attack, but to test his loyality, gwi put him a test
"marry the prime minister's daughter" gwi said, the king accepted even without consenting him, when he later asked him that it will be marrying an enemy's daughter, he explained that it was a test to loyality and he had to do it to gwi trust you. for the greater good yoon accepted, marrying the prime minister's daughter.
 

“umm” she heard someone calling her as she was walking, turning back she saw yoon, an unknown warmness crept inside her, she greeted him and waited for him to speak
“I wanted to apologized for talking like that to you” yoon said, as he need to apologize to one more person for behaving like that all these days,  he already visited hak young and settled things with him, also since he and king were in good terms now, he only has two people to apologize for, yang sun and her, but seeing his present circumstance it would be better to leave yang sun out since he already decided to marry the prime minister’s daughter. That only let with one other he had to apologize, her. There she was walking alone with a look in her eyes he cannot adhere, an emptiness that rarely showed emotions, what burden might she be carrying that she was like that he wondered.
“I should have been more careful like you said that day, I didn’t think of what will happen if I was labeled a traitor” hye ryeong explained to him asking him not to be sorry towards her, that may melt her heart and make it difficult for her when she has to marry the crown prince.
“but yet, it was wrong on part of the king, the followers has never done a crime” why did he take the blame on, he just wanted to apologize and if she didn’t want then he should have leave there and left, hye ryeong was a little amused at his reply, that day he was talking about how wrong it was to go against the king, and yet today he said this
“then don’t you fear that the king may call you a traitor now sunbae-nim ?”she asked
“looks like I don’t anymore” he said not revealing that he is the crown prince himself, she thought he joked, and his reply made her laugh a little as she playfully nodded her head, seeing her laugh a little he too laughed but when he saw some assassin shooting an arrow towards him, he immediately pulled her away from that direction and closer to him, she was now in his embrace and their positions exchanged, she could see the arrow that escaped hitting them and also another arrow being shot, she immediately placed herself between him and the arrow,  the pain piercing her back, she lost her consciousness.

“aboeji please don’t”
“please aboeji please” hye ryeong begged her father not to leave her with a vampire, memories of how her father did all flashed back and were playing again behind the closed eyelids of her, soon the scene changed when she came back home to see her mother not able to recognize her own daughter,
“aboeji what happened to omma”
“abeoji please save her” hye ryeong begged her father to save her mother, make her normal the caring mother, but was no use
“omma, omma it’s me hye ryeong” she went to her mother begging her to recognize but no use
“hye ryeong ? where is she ? did my child return?” her mother asked her, she couldn’t take more, her mother couldn’t identify her and was still searching for a person named by hye ryeong, she broke, unable to see anymore she ran, ran and ran till her feet tripped over some rock and she fell. That fall in her dream made her wake up, only then she realized she was crying the whole time, wiping her tears she noticed a figure sitting beside her, yoon.
“did you see all of this ?” she asked, she didn’t want anyone to know, anyone that she was this helpless, no one cared enough for her, he just nodded to her, she amused him, everything was a mystery and depending upon the things he has seen now, he got to know one thing clearly about her, she was weak, weak from heart, yet she is a strong woman who doesn’t let emotions take control of her.
“you were here the whole time ?” hye ryeong asked, it seemed like the sun has set a while ago and she has been passed out for quite a few hours, why did he wait that long her heart asked, yoon replied her on anything else but that
“it was not a deep injury since that arrow was shot from long, you will have a little pain in your shoulder for some time but you will be fine, the doctor treated you well” not getting her answer she decided to leave
“I should be going now” he stopped her by grabbing her shoulder
“no, people will misunderstand, I am in talks for a marriage and I cannot let rumors like this” she said, to him and herself too, if she stayed her some more time, the care in his eyes will melt her and she will not be able to marry the prince, he took out the hand from her shoulder and asked
“marriage ?”
“a political marriage, my father agreed on”
“to whom ?” he asked curiously thinking does she belong to one of the political families
“the crown prince” he was a little shocked, so she was the prime ministers daughter, how different she was from him he thought as he said
“okay, I will let my guards follow you, it has been already night and may not be safe” he said, she bowed to him and left. This marriage what did that mean to her ? only one thing was clear to him, she was also forced into the marriage like him, they both are going into marriage with no feeling for one another.
